Sync stopped after updating maps to version 5.0. - Wildfire General

I today updated Google Maps to version 5.0 from version 4.7. However after that update Google stopped syncing Google services like Mail, Contact etc. Pressing the sync button seems to do nothing.
I then went to applications settings and deleted cache etc for both Gmail & Mail storage. Then trying to sync gave a message that it was syncing but nothing happened. Even gtalk would just close on starting. I rebooted the phone to check if the problem goes away but it didn't help.
Finally I went to applications settings and deleted Maps update which went to stock version 4.1. and then finally rebooted my phone and voila sync started to work again.
So anybody can confirm this problem on Wildfire.

I think the problem is not with the update but running low on internal memory. When my memory is low and low memory alert shows on the statusbar syncing of google services stops.

[SOLVED] [email protected] stopped synching

Hi,
since Friday/Saturday my phone can not synchronize the services configured under settings -> Accounts & Sync. Last sync was gmail @ saturday morning. All other syncs are from friday night. I can not remember that I changed something.
I have tried:
-> Restart phone.
-> deactivate/activate automatic syncing.
-> manully sync.
Only twitters android app can sync when I manually press refresh within the twitter app. Gmail, calendar and co can not sync, even when I press refresh or else.
Has anyone a hint for me, how I can activate sync again?
(I won't reinstall all before MCR 4.X. :-( )
Thanks for help,
Chr1s
How much ROM space have you got left?
When my phone gets low on memory space it stops syncing until I've deleted some apps.

That's it! Thanks a lot.
I should activate my new SD with A2SD.

Gmail no longer syncing after GB update

My gmail has stopped syncing after the update to GB. Had this issue with the leaked GB too, but figured it would be fixed for the official release. It rarely tells me I have new emails unless I force it to sync on my own.
I don't get the constant sync icon like I had before on the leaks. I did a wipe after loading the pre rooted GB update patch over D2 bootstrapper. Still no dice.
Any ideas? Should I just clear my data for Google things in my application manager?

Is sync turned on in settings > accounts?

[Q] Google Music Beta

Just got my GT10.1 this morning and my google music beta doesn't seem to sync up. Tried restart. Any ideas?
might have to sync it individually, if you click on the google account all your "sub" accounts should show and you can individually sync it. it happens to me also because i have my accounts to update manually not automatically.
How long does it take to receive an invitation for Google Music? I sent on earlier this week and it's still pending.

You will need to update the Music App in the Market to get the login credentials. If you've already done that (and you have uploaded Music to Google Music from your computer) then it should be syncing. If not, try going to "accounts & sync" and manually sync it.
For those wondering how long it takes to get the Beta invite -- it took me about 2-3 weeks; I had signed up the day it was announced.
I had to clear the application data to get it to work (as well as updating the app from the Market).
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Music -> Clear Data
Thanks for all the replies. FInally got it to work. even with update didn't work so i uninstalled and re-installed and finally worked. Probably would have worked if i updated and just cleared the data.

Gmail keeps on Downloading *solved*

Since yesterday, battery rub faster than usual and charging took longer than normal.
Using OS Monitor application, Gmail consumes a lot of cpu power. If I switch off wifi and data, there is a notification come out stating "no connection can't download attachments".
Things I have tried
1. Remove automatically download attachments from Gmail setting
2. Clear Gmail application cache
3. Uninstall Gmail update
4. Remove Gmail and install it again from scratch using titanium backup.
All the above doesn't work. The application keeps on using the network, either on wifi or data networks.
I'm on LG G2 OS 4.2.2 rooted but with stock recovery.
This seems to occur since 10th Jan, upon updating Gmail app.
Any hint how to solve this?
Note: issue resolved by deleting all email with attachment on my Gmail account. I have also change setting in Gmail to sync only last 15 days.

March update broke gmail sync.

After the update, my gmail app does not sync anymore!
Push does no work.
Puling down in the app does not work either.
Anyone having this problem?
No issues here.
No such issue as well. Thank you.
Not hapenning
No problems here with Gmail sync or push notifications. Maybe clear cache and data from the app, uninstall it, reboot, then install it again to see if it's fixed
Mine works too
Lol one more for no problems after update...
No issues here.
Just got the march update finally.
When i first started the gmail app there was a "getting your messages" loading bar and emails list was empty.
UI in the app was empty of accounts and messages
Eventually after trying to use it, close and start the gmail app, it froze. I chose to kill it from the dialog that came up. When i started the app again it was OK.
Will update if i notice any more issues
