''Swipe'' to Scroll GScroll allows you to swipe your finger left/right/up/down on the touch panel to scroll or navigate. This functionality will work in any Windows Mobile application that supports scrolling or navigation via the directional pad. ''Tap & Tilt'' to Scroll GScroll allows you to use your built in accelerometer to scroll or navigate any application. Simply double tap the center circle, and then begin tilting. To exit ''Tap & Tilt'' mode, simply tap the touch panel. Double-Tap Launch Zones GScroll allows each of the 4 quadrants of the touch panel to be assigned to a custom application. Double tapping the quadrant will launch the application of your choosing. You can also assign custom actions to the hotkey, such as ''Open Start Menu'' and ''Close Current Application''. AppSwitch Swipe from one side of the panel to the other to bring up an application switcher. Select the icon in the list you wish to activate and it will be brought to the foreground.

Hi,
I relay like the Touch Dual's "quick task" menu that comes up when you slide open the phone, but I would rather it have more control when it appears ie: sometimes I want to use the menu but have no reason to slide open the phone.
I found out that the menu can be manually launched via windows\HTCActionScreen.exe (thanks shlomif), but my problem now is how to call the menu in a clean, convenient, and cool way
it would be cool to call the menu with a downward gesture on the home screen (looking into this in another thread), but the other method I was interested in was to make it one of the panels of the "cube".
My question is then, would it be possible to link HTCActionScreen.exe to one of the cube faces, so I could spin the cube to a particular face and that menu would appear?
Or would I have to "re-create" that menu as a cube face ie: skin a face like that menu and work out how to call the functions like "new sms" "new contact" and put them behind the buttons.
Or is it not possible?
I really would like to see (and pay) for a gesture launcher, utilizing the lower button bar. The whole area has a multitouch sensor, as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2511016
Besides the scroll-wheel no application uses these senors, so it will not interfere with any other program.
Wouldn't it be nice to tap (tap, not press) 3 times on the homebutton, and app#1 launches, or tap on each icon clock- or counterclockwise, etc ...
Anyone?
check Touch Lock Pro 2.3.5.

Search please
I'm big fan of HaaliReader, but I don't like how it behaves on my Touch Pro2.
So I have created a build for touch screen control.
May be someone will appreciate...
Changes compared to the original:
Sweep finger up and down to scroll pages
Sweep finger left right to move among chapters/sections
Tap long to popup menu
Doubleclick to activate full creen
Dictionary - the search is from the popup menu
Dictionary - when active, left or right sweep will return to the previous position
FullScreen mode - tapping right bottom corner performs page down
FullScreen mode - tapping right top corner will quit full screen
I must just note, that I'm really not a C++ or WM developer. It was just my try and tested only on my phones. Any feedback is appreciated.
Seems to work fine on the Fuze - cool app.
Is there any way (or app) to program long press, double click, or triple click etc, shortcuts for the trackball?
There are 5 buttons which can be exploited in multiple ways. Currently there are 8 static global functions:
- Back then "end"
- Options then Keyboard
- Home then Recently used
- Search then voice search
- Trackball press for enter
handcent adds a quick compose option where voice search is so it made me wonder if there are any apps or ways to create custom shortcuts.
I know multiple taps are out on the touch-sensitive buttons but I don't particularly use the search button so there's two shortcut's I'd prefer to allocate.
Something like double-press on the iPhone button shortcuts; messages, iPod etc.
I Have searched every ware to find a solution and have yet to find a fix.
USING TOUCH SCREEN.
Problem: When NOT in the Metro UI, Pressing in a text field the typing cursor appears and starts to blink. (ready for typing) (at this point in Windows 7 a keyboard icon will appear for the option to bring up touch keyboard; by pressing it) In Windows 8 this does NOT happen, I have to go to the task bar and manually start it.(little bit of an issue when using a convertible netbook with auto-hide task bar enabled to increase screen area as much as possible.) So I need to use the track pad to navigate to it.
When inside the Metro UI this feature works better than Windows 7 ever did.
So is there a way to fix this, find a fix, or a workaround?

My post already says that.
when in tablet mode that not the easiest thing to do, and very cumbersome.
it should automatically appear when a text field is selected.
it does this in the Metro UI and Metro menus, but not anywhere else..standard applications.....not metro apps....
It should work but for some reason M$ has not enabled it.
You have to actually manually open the keyboard app every time.
after exploring several thing in the os i was able to find 2 temp workarounds.
1. Search tabtip.exe make it a desktop shortcut, right click it and make a shortcut combo key.
2. swipe in from the right side to show the charms panel > select settings > keyboard > Touch Keyboard.
These take a few extra steps each but i guess it will work until M$ fixes it.
I will still be looking to enable the auto feature.
Any news about this issue ?
It is very frustrating that the keyboard do not Automatic pop up!
