is there an official repository from LG with the original apps of this phone i can download from somewhere?
thanks
gabrio

Please, please post the LG Home apk, I foolishily deleted it from my Optimus One and I've heard that the phone may be bricked if I uninstall my third party launcher.

Thanks for uploading but I get the message that the application cannot be installed. Got any ideas? I can't seem to move the files into correct directory either.
Try to restore it, maybe work.
I used a website that allowed me to copy your files to the right directory (I can't post it here because I am a new user). However, I cannot actually install the apk which is a worry. But I think the phone wouldn't brick now if I chose to restore or whatever since the files are there. Don't want to take the risk just yet though.
My suggestion was to try restore the LgHome.apk with some app what support backup/restore, like SystemApp Remover. If doesn't work just use other home luncher, don't do a factory reset, because i get LgSetup wizzard error, black screen with no system launcher, and launcer pro was installed. So take care.
Try this one LGHome.apk. Hope is work.
looks like they sent u already. what happened to me was that i deleted it, then the phone would be lock at the android BOOT screen with the flashing logo BUT i managed to connect it to the pc and then launch "adb shell". via adb i pushed the Lg Home.apk to the system/app (i also had to change permissions of the phone file system via linux commands) then it worked, actually downloaded launcher pro right away and i love it, not using LG Home.apk anymore.
regarding uploading the file via adb:
1 adb shell
2 su
3 set permissions of the file system to be mounted r/w, SHOULD be this : mount -t yaffs2 -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock6 /system
4 exit (one for exiting su)
5 exit (exiting)
then exit the shell from the phone.
> adb push LGHome.apk system/app // important, if you have a space in the filename you'll have a problem with adb and have the .apk file locally on the same folder where you have adb.exe otherwise you'll have a problem or you'll have to add adb to the path of your windows/linux path env variables, hence use adb push LG*Home.apk system/app - should work otherwise just rename it w/o space, works anyway.
then reboot it should work!

Yes I have file in the correct directory with correct permissions too, but can you actually install it to the phone? Or does it fail like it does for me?
Have you trying this one?? To me is installing fine, but get error when try to open it, maybe couse i have prime rom with apps2sd. Anyway i dont use LgHome.
That's not the real LG Home its one that's been hacked to use on devices that didn't have it preinstalled. The one you gave before was an original but it doesn't install which is really pissing me off.

my phone couldn't start anymore (stuck @ android logo) and i copied this one from my friend's LG O1 (same as mine) bought in italy, same store i did, and it worked. actually the home didn't have all icons i had before so looked "weird" but at least i was able to start up the phone. then you can re-add to the home screen the apps and worked.
eventually i installed launcher PRO and im using that one now, much better.

im not sure that all versions are identical, that is what helped me and managed to have the phone start up.
But did you install it or just place it in the directory?
Same LGHome problem here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=886911. But if you can navigate in the phone and are not stuck in boot logo or black screen, why need LG launcher. Just don't do factory reset cause you will get a phone with no launcher.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi all,
Attached is the DSP manager for Villain Rom, when i try to install it on my sense desire 2.2 (Starburst) its giving parse error
is there anyone who can modify this for android 2.2, this version of DSP has enhanced functionality which we dont get with prior versions
any help is appreciated
regards
H
The DSPManager must be installed as systemapp afaik.
Either you put it into a flashable zip or push it with adb or copy it to system/app with root explorer and S-OFF
mate i have already got a DSP manager installed. I just want to replace it with this one.
Being it made for android 2.3 its not compatible with android 2.2
as i have no clue about development of android i hoped someone here could recompile this APK to be compatible for android 2.2
Don't know if it will work for you, but I edited the minSDKversion from 9 to 8 in AndroidManifest.xml.
thanks mate, i will check and let u know if this works
cheers for the effort
regards
H
it works mate, thanks a billion...
is there a possibility for you to show me how this can be done. perhaps a link to tutorial.
thanks again for your help.

There may be other software dependencies that it relies on to function properly. If that isn't the reason, then you could try clearing the apps data/cache in settings-applications-manager applications and seeing what that does.
If you would still like to know what I did to make it work, I could write a quick guide later today of what I did.
I would like to know how you made it work, since I want to use it on my LG Optimus 2X but when I install the apk I got from the cyanogen CM7 .zip for another phone it doesn't work...
I think theres one more file for the cyanogen DSPmanager.
system\lib\soundfx\libcyanogen-dsp.so
Read from an Oxygen thread post that you need to put that file in too.
I have both .apk and .so files on my Desire with Oxygen and it works.
im using oxygen 2.0.3 and i would love the dsp manager, what files are required.....??
To make it work with froyo, I used apktool on the apk, then I opened up the AndroidManifest.xml with PSPad, I edited the android:targetSdkVersion to be 8 instead of 9 (8 is the SDK version for froyo), then I recompiled the apk with apktool, signed, and pushed/installed on the phone.
In the DSPManager.apk from CM7.0.0, you need to edit the line android:minSdkVersion to be 8.
I have no way of testing this (as I am using CM7 RC4 and do not feel like installing a froyo ROM or a ROM without DSPManager), but it has the .so file mentioned above and the DSPManager.apk from CM7.0.0. Flash the file in recovery, if for some reason it will not flash, then push the files with adb or use root explorer and set the permissions.
Code:
adb remount
adb push libcyanogen-dsp.so /system/lib/soundfx/libcyanogen-dsp.so
adb push DSPManager.apk /system/app/DSPManager.apk
adb shell reboot
http://bit.ly/gLGIxj
Let me know whether or not this works.
flashing the zip, the phone would freeze at the bootloader, but pushing the files it works a treat thank you so much, i can finally make use of my headphones.......
Well it seems we might be getting closer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12884327#post12884327
Has someone tested this yet? Someone uploaded the latest one with an edited .so file. Maybe someone can test if this works on 2.2.2. LG Optimus X2 without patched libaudioflinger.so?
Kind regards,
Xav...
i tried it but all i get is FC...

Hi all.
I had an Orange UK Hero GSM on the latests official stock ROM and looked everywhere for a simple way to get Cyanogen 7 on it...
Most the 'simple' ways I found involved typing in text in a command line window and the ones I tried (including the official CyanogenMod instructions) did not work...
With a lot of looking around I've found a simple way that involves no typing and only downloading 3 files! So here goes... but before I do, remember I am not responsible for any damage you cause to your device. I am sharing the method that worked for me...
1) Put the attached apk files and the CyanogenMod 7 zip in the root directory of your SD card in the phone. The CyanogenMod zip can be got from: here.
2) Install the Universal Androot apk
3) Run the app to root your device (using SU option 2.1-2.2)
3) Install the RomManager 4.3 apk
4) Run the app. Choose install Clockwork Mod Recovery to install the recovery
5) Choose install ROM and when the phone boots into CWM Recovery select to install your CM7 zip from your SD card.
6) Reboot and you've got CM7.2 on your Hero!
Let me know if this works for you and hit the thanks button if it does! This guide would have saved me a day of trial and googling if someone else had written it first! :cyclops:
Thanks to the makers of Universal Androot and Rom Manager... it's their work that made this job so simple!
Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing the almost extinguished Rom Manager 4.3.apk
I've been looking for it for almost 3 days.
Thank you!!

Hey im sure im one of many who have asked this but I looked around I couldnt find a solution that worked for me
My goal is only to change my lock ring softkeys and glowdots simple right? It always was until recently...
Ive tried a few roms and I installed busybox completely its updated and everythimg I do have root acess
My bootloader is indeed unlocked. And everything is done correctly
I am running 4.4.2 a custom somy z1 rom on nexus 4 16gb
I have tried both zipthemer and metamorph and
Metamorph claims rw is not mounted
On some roms I was able to chamge softkeys in some cases and not be able to do lock rings though
My questions are can you lead me to mounting and it would be lovely if someone can explain to me how this works and why I could change one but not the other.
Thank you

1. Make sure you are rooted.
2. Download the lockring you want and copy it into your phone (or just download it using phone).
3. Install zip themer app.
4. Update edify (make sure you have the rom zip which you are currently using saved in your phone storage).
5. Choose theme and select the previously downloaded lockring.
6. Create it.
7. Note the new zip file created for the lockring.
8. Reboot into recovery. Flash the newly created zip.
9. Reboot into system and that's it.

Didnt work
There are a couple of people whose navigation bar on their N4 isn't working. I'm talking about this.
Found a github repository which contains the fix (credits to gkraynov) for all stock releases: https://github.com/gkraynov/nexus-4-navfix
I've recently installed this ROM, which has a different build number (LMY48G), so this solution would not work for me, because stock 5.1.1 has LMY47V.
The fix (source): https://android-review.googlesource...droid/systemui/statusbar/policy/DeadZone.java
My steps were:
1.) Decompiled the SystemUI.apk with apktool (to get to the smali file):
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar d SystemUI.apk
Here's the decompiled source in a zip file.
2.) Decompiled the same apk with http://www.decompileandroid.com/ to get the java source
3.) Compared the source of the fix with corresponding smali and java file, like in this image.
4.) Recompiled with:
Code:
java -jar apktool.jar b SystemUI
5.) Pushed the apk back to the phone:
- set root access for adb and apps on phone under developer settings
- adb root
- adb remount
- adb push SystemUI.apk /system/priv-app/SystemUI.apk
After that I rebooted the phone, which didn't display the navbar anymore, so I've must have made a mistake somewhere.
Can someone, please, take a look and tell me, what I did wrong? I have zero experience with this.
You can share files you edit?
You didn't set perms right. Reboot to recovery and fix permissions or just change the permissions to
RW-R--R--
I also want to wear a custom rom , but the nav bar I do not work , if you can help ?
chmod?
Can anyone compile this source with android 6.0 marshmallow
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
I tried, I've tried to edit Deadzon.java but I am confused as to restore the file to dex for compile into apk again
I did the same thing using TMA to decompile and to update and got the same issue.
No more NAVBAR.
Any clue?
It appears that the code edit it`s not correct.
Using another tool http://bytecodeviewer.com/ to reverse engineer it appears wrong.
I am also newbie at this.
Can someone help?
same here
I have encountered the same issue with my N4.
To fix it, I tried a stock reset. Did not work.
Than I granted myself root access, installed CyanogenMod, which then allowed me to use the "pie"-Navigation, which works great.
I also found out, because of the full screen option etc., that the area of the screen of the broken navigation bar should be working, as it appears to work in different apps in landscape-mode.
So... My problem is now that I can't try out the patch you writing about because now I am using CM13, not the Stock Version which the fixes are referring to.
I am really new to all this ROM stuff (all I know about it is from this very day) - So, is there a way of applying this way of fixing the navigation bar to CM13?
Thank you.

But I am trying to create the patch for Paranoid Rom. If I suceed I think the same concept can be use for any other rom.
