[Q] No LG logo at boot (screen has no power), can boot fastboot NOT into recovery

My current specs:
Android Version: 2.2.1
Kernel: Quarx-agent007-desktop #342
Mod Version: OpenSwift/CyanogenMod-6.1.1
Build: FRG83
Clockwork Recovery: 2.5.0.5 (unverified)
I got my files from an English kid on youtube, who follows these forums, he goes under the tagname Airbus320fan (I can't post the link cause I'm new here).
It's from a backup he did (2011-01-02.21.10.25). The only reason I used it, is because he had most of everything working and I couldn't find all the updates for OpenSwift (which is what this kid used).
My problem is I can't get into recovery.
What I did to get into this stupid situation:
-Upgraded from stock 1.6 to 2.1update1 with fastboot via KDZ_FW_UPD (LG Software update software... english version) used file Clockwork_recovery_rom.kdz
-Then I booted into fastboot mode (no power to the screen at this point but fastboot detected the device)
-Ran fastboot -w
-Then flashed the recovery (with a clockwork recovery image), boot, and system with OpenSwift-CyanogenMod-6.1.1 kernel #342
The phone works fine, but I hate being without recovery mode or any sort of visual indication of any other boot mode (emergency, fastboot). I think something got jacked up and something's told my phone not to power on the screen at this point. Otherwise, I shouldn't have been able to get into fastboot.
So, I've tried going back to stock, against all advice, and ended up having to restore the phone back to it's current semi-functional state. I've tried other recovery.img files (including 2.5.1.8) and erasing everything and reflashing everything. No dice. Again, I think this is my problem "...something got jacked up and something has told my phone not to power on the screen at this point."
I've read another post about a similar topic, with no apparent solution. To clarify I don't care about not having a boot animation or even the LG logo, I want to be able to boot into recovery and use it. This isn't my first time around the block; I'm stumped. I am humbly requesting help. Solutions?

First, just flash with any fastboot rom ( it is not even important) that your phone starts up. Then go in fast boot and flash recovery img.
Reboot phone and enter to recovery.
That will fix you problems.
Also use only same version of recovery. So if you use on the start 2505 , use it again. I found that if I use another version it dont work for me ( or I cannot enter into recovery, or mobile just reboot itself)
If you like you can use this fastboot rom. Opposite to other it have blue screen when you enter into fastboot, and also show interaction from /with computer) with white letters. So in that case you can see that you are in fastboot mode .

You have ORIGINAL Baltic ROM.
Link I gave to you is fastboot Baltic ROM.
Original ROM doesnot have fastboot, so that is reason you cannot enter in fastboot.
You must use ROM from link I gave to you. Then you can enter in fastboot, and flash recovery img

Pepi, I used the Baltic Rom you posted a link to. It won't finish flashing. I see in the logs the phone is rebooted, but it's stuck at

I unpluged the phone after 20 minutes, now nothing boots [Screen won't even power on]. The only thing I can do is boot into Emergency mode. I'm going to try the EUROOPEN + Fastboot rom.

So I used the Euro Open V20B file. No dice. I even try flashing again once I was able to boot the phone. Didn't work. Now I'm back to the exact same problem.
Before I tried pepi's fix, I noticed something; If I power off the phone and plug it in to charge, I don't get the battery charging animation. The screen stays black, but the light is on. So again, I think the first 5-10 seconds of booting, my phone's display or animations are not functional.

Ok, lets try this.
Remove sim card ,battery and memory card.
Start KDZ tool, load fastboot rom , but not press "Start"
Change mode to CS_EMERGENCY
Press SOUND DOWN key and attach mobile to USB cable.
Then you should go to DOWNLOAD MODE
Start to flash mobile.

Still stuck at "closing port" in the log file.
No dice.

Change USB port ( that is last option) I have in mind

Thanks Pepi. I got everything working! I trying everything over again, using a different port on my computer for the USB connection. Some other things I did, I went into the properties of the flashing program (I'm running Windows 7), and I set compatability mode to Windows XP SP2 and check "Run as Administrator".

Hi, i have the same problem, but, i cant even get in fastboot =( what can i do? im desesperate ='( i was upgrating the original firm, and my pc crashed and my device got on a "No boot" state, its horrible, i push the power button but the screen even flash! No even a light its seen =( what can i do? i tried a hard reset, downloadmode, nothing works

Sounds like its bricked. Or dead.

That is my worst worry ='(

You tried removing the battery and plug into the usb port, should start then. Guess you have tried that. Doesn't sound good either way.

[Q][HELP!!!]The process EVERYTHING has stopped unexpectedly.

Yesterday I upgraded my gf's GT540 to 2.1 (v20B) (fooled around a bit with the no-logos-showing-at-boot error but got rid of that bug eventually by KDZ software upgrade) and later I tried fixing the "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" bug by deleting the file located at /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db. After a reboot, I got stuck in an infinite boot loop of the Android logo. No matter what update I reflashed, I was stuck with the infinite Android logo. I kind of fixed that problem by adb-ing inside the phone while the loop was going on and I tried to recursively delete everything in /data/data/.
Now, no matter what update I KDZ, every boot gives me constant "The process _________ has stopped unexpectedly...". I think the files are missing but I don't quite understand why, the updates should totally wipe everything from the device and then create a new file system bla bla bla... It's like no matter how I apply any update, or do a bunch of hard resets, it doesn't do anything to the phone.
BTW I haven't tried fastboot stuff (simply because holding the camera + power doesn't take me to fastboot for unknown reasons), and I don't know about the windows enabler or where to find it.
I spent like 10 hours trying to unbrick this phone and searched everything everywhere now and I am getting really annoyed and confused with what's going on so please somebody throw me some tips before I nail this device on the wall...
Damn, everything is so much easier with HTC devices...

PS. To turn on fastboot mode you should press Power (and hold it until the phone vibrates) and then press and hold Home button. Fastboot mode is just a black screen (there won't be any text displayed).

I did at least 10 hard resets.
Holding the home button doesn't give me fastboot mode, it boots Android into safe mode...
PS: Somehow I have lost the ability to use ADB, which is quite annoying.

Thank you I have managed to get to the blue FASTBOOT screen! Now I have a device named Android in the Device Manager, but I do not have drivers for it so fastboot console application is still stuck at < waiting for device >...

but suddenly it stops working ..
whenever I try my cell phone goes immediately to start the red "back" button on (bright red) and then there's the green robot android, then the blue zte intro and then it all over again ..
I have not changed my zte (clockwork, rom)
I know myself well not so good ..

Its not bricked as it still boots up.
When exactly does the phone crash - when you make a call, start an app, or just automatically reboots?
Did you install a new app just before this started happening?
Is the phone rooted?
Are you sure the battery is ok? Try starting phone with charger plugged in.

Try booting into recovery and clear the cache? I remember my old G1 did the same thing, and after clearing the system cache it worked.
To boot into recovery i think you keep hold of volume down when turning the device on.
If that doesn't work you could wipe the device, but you'll loose everything on it then.

The issue you have is this, the rom that has been flashed to the phone is for Gen 2, but the phone is still set on Gen 1.
You'll need to boot into recovery and perform a restore, or flash Ginger stir Fry Rom, then the phone will work.

Solutions depend on
-- whether or not u have custom recovery installed ,
-- whether or not fastboot is enabled in your device. (It isn't enabled only in stock gen2 firmware)
-- whether or not u have rooted and made changes to system partition.
Possible solutions
-- If u have custom recovery installed then format (= wipe data/factory reset) the device from the recovery.
Power off the device. Then by holding volume down power on the device. This takes u into custom recovery menu if it is installed. If custom recovery isn't installed this takes you to FTM MODE.
-- If u have fastboot enabled then use this method to format ur device. Power off the device. Then hold volume up and power on the device. Here the device should stay at green android logo forever if fastboot is enabled. This is fastboot mode. Now install zte USB drivers in PC and connect phone in fastboot mode to PC. It will install the software. Now in device manager u shouldn't see any android named devices with yellow unrecognised format. Then use fastboot windows tools from command prompt. The command to format tthe device is
fastboot erase userdata
-- if the above processes didn't work then using tpt is recommended way. U can flash complete low level device firmware using tpt. U can flash either a recovery alone to hard reset. Or u can flash a complete rom. On bit searching at modaco u will get more information regarding everything.

Download gen1 to gen2 (there is a download link in this section) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258855
Unzip the file and place the image ( the image is called image, not gen1 to gen2) on the root of your sd card (ideally it is best to do this on a pc)
Also download and place the Rom you wish to use on the root of your SD card (cyanogenMod 7.1.0 stable release works well) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1297776
DO NOT UNZIP THE ROM at this stage.
Put the SD card back into the phone.
Power off the phone, hold menu & vol + (up) & power at the same time, you should see some green writing, wait until it is finished (well done your phone is now gen2)
You should now arrive at the clockwork recovery screen, if not power off the phone, then hold vol - (down) and power (together), clockwork will boot.
Now using clockwork recovery, clear data/factory reset, then install your rom from the zip, that is all there is to it, obviously you'll have to enter your login details to use the market and sync your contacts etc, but your phone should now be working.
Don't forget to make a nandroid backup.

Help i have bricked my phone and dont know what to do to fix it

HI . I am new to this .
I rooted my lg g2 and installed twrp on the phone and tried to install custom rom. this i where it went wrong.
i have lost twrp recovery not on phone any more .
phone when switched on goes to black screen with fastboot mod ready txt, i can access firmware update and do the lg firmware update with stock rom but drops off at 49% , i have changed port to no41 but still hangs and fails at 49%.
i don't know what to do to install all this to get it working again , please help me guy n girls .

I had the same problem...
1. So first you have to turn the phone completely off.
2. Then hold down the volume down+power until the LG logo is shown, let go and then immediately hold down same buttons.
3. This will bring you to a reset screen. Go through the reset process
4. This will bring you to the recovery
5. I installed a backup or try installing a rom you have on the phone
If any questions just ask. I know how stressful this could be

I have tried this and I get the factory hard reset white screen and I press power + power again and restarts but goes straight to black screen again with the following
[800] fastboot mode started
[850] udc_start ()
I am stuck with no ideas what to do.

what is KDZ EMERGANCY MODE?

When you are unbricking it through the method that didn't work for you there is a KDZ Emergency mode that you can check. When I had the same problem as you did I just did the method that I posted above. Not sure what will happen if you do use the KDZ method.

Lg G2 hardbrick?

Hello. I have problem with new g2 d802.
After root and install twrp, then dorimanx kernel my Phone joined to fastboot mode.. I had to Flash via fastboot stock images, but unfortunely i flashed some files from sprint version.. After this Phone was in qhsusb_half mode and all partitions tried to Mount when Phone was connected. I restore all files via Ubuntu, gdisk etc. But i forget one image.. Now im stuck, After reboot device show me only lg logo, when i'll turn off device , and plug cable with vol+ it load download mode , but my PC not detect device, in device manager it dont show anything, it dont have recovery.. Vol- and cable plug show only lg logo. Can,t join any mode except download, but my PC, and laptop don't detect any device plugged. Have somone idea to solve it, or it's Just hardbrick and only service Can help? I have warranty, and i Can tell it show only lg logo After ota upadte right?

SOLVED problem, now i have again rooted stock rom and it's booting great.

Hi, I'm facing the same problem.

Turn off your phone by hold power for few sec. Now hold vol- and power, when device will show you LG logo, then repress power button, but vol- need be hold non-stop . U'll see for a while white screen, and factory reset, now press 3 times power button, it should show recovery. Now search adb sideload and install by sideload philz recovery cwm. If u'll finish, reboot recovery, then wipe data/factory reset and wipe for install clean rom. Now install by adb sideload CM11. After this ur phone should boot, and show system, u should able to plug usb now and put stock rom to sd. Check my solutions. It worked for me and my phone i alive

You had a lot of luck..the first thing you have done is - you flashed the wrong kernel.

No luck, every g2 will stuck by wrong kernel flash, but ofc if it is also for G2 but other variant.

You flashed also the wrong files after
