****...if the small Samsung GPS update that was pushed to me on Sunday and immediately bricked my phone is any indication of how Samsung does their updates... screw it, I'll wait for CM on Vibrant.

Want Froyo? Buy a Nexus One... or a G2... If we knew when we were getting Froyo, we'd tell you.

Why? Were you promised it by Samsung or TMO on a specific date and we are months past that date? It is ridiculous to ***** and moan about it. Try Bionix, its wicked fast, can't imagine that 2.2 is going to blow my socks off after having Bionix on my Vibrant.

Gingerbread is out there

Someone on 2.3 installed my app back on the 7th (see attached)... Its out there... but will it fix my volume issues??? =(

man i cant wait for it to be actually released though....heard its tons better than froyo

When were there loose lips? I don't remember anything major coming out about 2.1 that didn't come from Google themselves.

2.2 was a different matter though, numerous leaks and bits of information were floating around for weeks before the official release.

2.3 has not even been released at all... No SDK, nothing... You really expect someone to have a solid, 100% percent correct answer and say "Sure sir... You 2.3 update will come on 12 March 2011 at 3pm..."

Nice try... March 12, 2011 is a Saturday... Everyone knows they don't start OTA releases on the weekends.

Has anyone heard anything? I only saw the Nexus S at the Web 2.0 summit. Why is GOOG being so secretive about this?

Web 2.0 summit - google says gingerbread release is 2.3. Also, they said gingerbread will roll out to nexus one's in 'coming weeks'.
Froyo was out within a month of being announced, so I don't see why this wouldn't be released in the same manner. Especially when it's announced as being available in 'coming weeks'.

yeah i just saw that video and he said about 2 weeks gingerbread will be out. but what i wanna know is, will we get it faster now that it is suppose to kill off htc sense, motorolas blur, and all other crap that they put over android. we all know the mt4g has the specs to get gingerbread and its one of the best damn phones as far as hardware goes. so i wonder how long its going to take to get it.

According to a friend of mine (works for Sprint), he says some people have downloaded 2.3 on their phones. They showed him, i have searched everywhere and find no information on the 2.3 release.. Was he mistaken?

I have a friend that works for Sprint. He said that the 2.3 update will be installed exclusively by your local rub and tug and it will include a complimentary happy ending. I can't wait!

As a retention supervisor I can officially say that training has taken place for 2.3 on our Evo's, no release date though... Then of course I realized I had just clicked on an engadget link while I was at work
