Porting "Screen off" from Desire HD to Galaxy S? - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hey,
do you guys think it's possible to port Instant Screen Off to Galaxy S? Would be really great to have it, that stupid workaround with 7s screen timeout is quite ugly.

Few Questions PLEASE ANSWER! :)

Hello, i just wanna know some things about the samsung galaxy s. amd please please answer, because i really want to buy it but im also thinking of buying the nexus one.
1). Hows the vibration? Can you feel it good or do you have to have it on your hand in order to feel it.
2). Can you have the same lockscreen as on the nexus one?
3). Which would you rather get the NEXUS ONE or the SAMSUNG GALAXY S? I really like the nexus one because its fast and everything with Froyo 2.2 and it has an LED but i aslo like the galaxy s because of the 4 inch screen and the 720p video capture.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
I think the vibration is fine but that could be me, I'd go for the Galaxy S in my opinion but the Nexus One is a good phone too, I'm just looking forward to 2.2 on my Galaxy, hopefully soon fingers crossed.
About the lockscreen, i'm not sure you can change it but I'm sure someone will know
Galaxy s is faster. Why move backwards?
Get the SGS, i don't think you'll be deceived.
Nexus one do have the faster update.
But SGS have the better hardware. I think the hardware is more important since SGS will update to 2.2 anyway.
Id go with the nexus one, although on paper ths SGS has better hardware, the UI lags and touchwiz is really boring, brings no innovation whatsoever, and with the nx1 you're guaranteed updates from google, unlike samsung which will probably move on in a couple of months when they have a new flagship phone

Id go with the galaxy S. If you don't like the touchwiz, you can always use launcher pro. And since SGS has a better hardware, it will be a monster when it gets Froyo! Can't wait
PS: If you mean the "connect the dots" lock screen, yes. If you mean the slide to unlock, no(as far as I know).

[Q] Anyone upgrade to Galaxy Nexus?

I am planning to replace my 1.5years old Tmo HD2 with Galaxy Nexus, has anyone compared how is the camera agains the old HD2? I am sure the newer sensor in Galaxy Nexus is supposed to be better but just out of curiosity by how much.
Thanks
Rizki.
really feel like doing it but im gonna wait for the new phones that are released directly with ICS before deciding.. 4.3 inch screen on hd2 is already a bit too big for me so galaxy nexus with 5.3 inch is really really huge by my standards.
The galaxy nexus is 4.65" and it really isn't much bigger than an galaxy s2, desire HD or HD2

Still looking for a TRUE successor to HD2, i do like the Galaxy Nexus but i think it wont replace what the HD2 is great for. waiting for the next killer phone from HTC that is at least as good as HD2 is really killing me......
I tried HTC Sensation and gave it to my wife, it isn't as good as the HD2 was in its golden age. Shame HTC has lost its charm.
Nexus is 4.65" but with the soft keys, is around 4.3". I don't think Nexus is worth the upgrade, it's just "another" dual core with ICS, there's no WOW factor and some users on Nexus sub-forum express that. Plus, the screen has color banding.
I will wait more months 3/4 months for HTC Verge (4.7", 720p, Tegra 3) or HTC Zeta (4.5", 720p, Tegra 3). If you want a phone NOW, consider Galaxy Note (also screen with issues) or Sensation XL. IMO, trading HD2 for a 4.3" dual core is not a good deal right now.

[Q] Will swipe to wake be available?

Hey guys,
I'm interested in buying a new smartphone for my sister. The trick is that she's handicapped, so one major requirement is either a swipe to wake, or a front home button (like the Galaxy S series has).
I saw that the Galaxy Nexus has the s2w feature and am planning to buy that for her (and install a kernel that has support for PGM Nexus), but was wondering if the LG Nexus 4 might have this feature in the see-able feature (a few weeks from now)?
Thanks in advance
PGM Nexus developer would make it for Nexus 4 if he had the device so lets hope he gets one

Doesn't look like any sweep/swipe 2 wake kernel is out yet for the Nexus 4 though

[REQ] Galaxy Note 4 battery charging screen?

i was just watching the android authority review of the note 4 when about 5 minuets you can see a really nice charging screen.
is there any way of adding this to the galaxy s4?
i think its when the phone is off so im thinking no, but perhaps theres a way to make something like this as an app for when its on?
im mainly interested in the bubbly animation at the bottom of the screen.
