I've got 10 MDAs, one for me and 9 others. All I've used so far either can't pick up the network or once they connect, I can only load one page before it stops browsing.
On my personal MDA, the first day I used it, I was able to browse for about 15 minutes flawlessly and browse at a friend's house on his network. I don't think it has loaded more than one page a day since. All the other MDAs seem to have equally miserable wifi.
I used my friend's 9100 with a hacked rom and it browses flawlessly for hours.
What's going on? HELP!
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I seem to have problems connecting to the internet. I currently have Internet Max and the only sites I can browse is Google.co.uk, Three.co.uk and the My3 Account page. I can also access the internet via google's web to mobile feature but sometimes it doesnt work.
I noted that in other forums people recommend getting x-series. But to me I dont think it will help me as I cant seem to even access the internet. It seems like I'm stuck on 3's intranet? I've also had a samsung F700 with the same problem. called up 3 but they say the phone I'm using is just not supported. But they did try to help me with my F700. I havent called them yet about my tytn ii yet?
I've set up the internet with just the apn as three.co.uk
can someone please help? Thanks
when i'm running off wifi the market downloads either take forever to start downloading or they don't download at all. but when i switch to 3g its no problem at all. anyone else have this problem?
I would say first thing to do would be to check your internet connection or see how your other devices behave over wifi. I had the samme problem and it was my ISP.
If I am at home using my personal router, my wifi works great and I have no problems at all. However, when I am at the library, which is everyday for me, if i try to use their wifi I instantly get this error message that the page cannot be displayed even though my phone claims i am connected to their wifi.
anyone else have this issue? it is extremely annoying and i downloaded wifi fixer but it didnt fix anything.
any ideas?
If it works at home then I doubt it's an issue on your side, sometimes on networks such as school campuses and libraries you have to register your device on the network for it to be able to access the internet. Have you asked the library on how you can do that?
Well it is a public library and they have fliers up that tell you how to use their wifi. I thought it was an issue with my phone so I didn't bother asking a librarian. If no one else has a solution I will definitely be asking tomorrow.

Do they use WiFi proxy? Like a redirect to a webpage that requires you to register your MAC.

well, Android has had that issue ever since, and it is still not fixed.
I think Samsung Galaxy S gets around it in the Wi-Fi proxy config (under settings, Wireless and Network, hit the menu button at the bottom of the screen, and go to Advanced), but you need to know the proxy hostname and port (I think the default will be 80 for HTTP requests).
I haven't tested it though.
Here's the issue log from code.google.com

Mine cannot get on WiFi at the rink I go to. Other people could not get their notebooks or netbooks onto that WiFi as well. My HD2 connects to that WiFi just fine, though.
I don't think it's a Vibrant-specific issue.
I've had a similar problem with the wifi network on my campus. It redirects to a logon page that the vibrant won't even display. Apparently the android browser has an issue with security certificates that aren't configured properly. Froyo is supposed to fix it, but in the mean time try connecting with the firefox browser. I'm able to connect with it, then switch back to the regular browser or any other program. Once you're logged in you're good to go.

im running the unofficial version of froyo but its still not working. im downloading the firefox now. im crossing my fingers for it to work tomorrow!!!
My Desire HD connects to my wifi, shows full signal, and allows me to access web pages and web through apps as normal.
After about 5 minutes, all web pages and requests time out and I no longer have internet access, although my phone still says I have full Wifi signal and I've received no errors other than "this page doesn't appear to exist" kind of thing.
I don't seem to have this problem on my works wifi - get full internet access as normal.
My girlfriend's Desire S doesn't seem to have the same problem on my home wifi.
I've tried turning off 3G, and I've tried setting a static IP - I get the same issues with both.
I've used Wifi Analyzer and set my wifi broadcasting channels to ones set outside the ones used by all of the other routers I can pick up.
I've already received the Desire HD wifi fix update as well, didn't seem to make any difference.
Any help would be appreciated!
