I purchased my MT4G from a T-Mobile store for full price without contract and did not pay the additional $25 fee for 4G. Does anyone know if my speed will be limited because I'm not paying that fee?
That $25 is for data alone. You have no data on your plan and will be billed $1.99/mb. You should call and change that.
I'm using the Even More Plus 750 + Unlimited Text & Web.
Yeah but that plan only covers regular internet not "4G" plus the 30 bucks android plan is required AFAIK.

If you are EM+ 750 TW, that's a Family plan with unlimited data and text/mms on 2 lines, then you share the 750 mins between all the lines. T-Mobile doesn't charge more for the faster internet...yet.
There is no extra charge for 4g, so if you already have the unlimited web, then you're golden. Although you might not get 4g speeds all the time, depending on where you're located.

Funny how many versions of "the truth" you will get from different reps who actually have no clue what they are talking about isn't it?
Agreed...

According to what they told me, the even more and plus includes the 4G plan. The other plans are for the laptop and the tab that they sell which requires you to have those plans.

Even more plus, 500 minutes, unlimited texting and data for $59.99 + tax
There isn't any contract, but you have to buy the Nexus S for $529.99 + tax
What about a plan that comes with the contract? I read some Best Buys do have contracts. I went to T-Mobile, they told me that their lowest plan is $80.00.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I've got the unlimited everything for $80/month. But I got that with my G1.
Does the speed on this plan vary from the $30.00 data plan on the S if its the same speed I wouldn't mind saving $20.00 a month
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
It's the same speed, except that you're capped to 200 MB/mo. It replaces their previous "dumbphone" data plan
I taught they had unlimited web to go for 10

That's their old dumbphone plan, which is still grandfathered in so people who had that plan in the past can still go over 200 MB
Someone please CMIIW
Unlmited web2go for $10 does not work on the nexus s.
Thanks for your help Jc

You can opt for even more plus plan at corp store if you purchase it in full, which only cost $20 for internet and $10 for messaging.
It's better than nothing.
$10 grandfathered web2go will not work with NS at least it doesn't work on my 3rd number, so I have to rotate it with MT4.
New phone. New plan.
3000 minutes
Only today.
I don't work with t mobile, just saying.

Its an even more plus plan (without contract)...i think it used to be called flexpay
I was seriously considering signing a contract and paying 200 for my phone when it came out....but I did some calculations and the same plan that I have now with a contract is waaayyyy more expensive than what I am paying. They make more money in two years than it costs for my current plan plus the full price for 2 vibrants bought off contract...so I just bought the phones outright and signed up for the "flexpay" plan. I have the freedom to switch carriers whenever I want and I am on a reallyc heap plan
Yeah, I ALWAYS pay full retail for the phone. Really helps, if you do the math/keep the phone a little while.
I'm on 1500 mins also with unlimited text and data for $145 a month (after taxes), 3 lines and 1 phone insurance included. It's called Even More Plus plan I believe.

No its actually a carrier called Simple Mobile. They run off of T-Mobile's towers and they even have 4g which works eight the MT4G and G2.

My wife and I are currently paying around $150 a month to have unlimited talk text and web. We've discovered that we don't talk too much and most of our web browsing is done connected to wifi. Does it cost anything to lower your minute plan? Would we have to pay the cancel contract fee to change our plan?

They will let you change your plan with tmo but you will have to extend your contract. This is why I am not going to extend with tmo again. I've found a new service provider called ting that is going to save me and my wife about 30-40 $ a month.

Ohhhh, yeah, i have seen this before, it said i wouldn't save any money haha. Well and its on Sprint's network which isn't great
I downgraded from that plan and was supposed to be paying 100 but now pay 170! For 1000 shared mins so I'd stay on your plan. And its 45 cents a min to go over

I have a galaxy s2 on T-Mobile, I'm looking for a better plan, I need at least 5GB of data. Right now I have the $30 100min and 5GB data plan, I don't want to spend $70 a month for more minutes and 5GB of data, but I do need more minutes as well as the data I have. Is there a simple mobile, or family talk plan that would work fully?

Didn't Tmobile just release some unlimited data plan?
Yeah on September 5th, but I'm on prepaid.

I don't want to start a new thread for this, but the strangest thing happened. I flashed the Jedi mind trick Rom, when I tried I got a T-Mobile free text saying I owe $250... I'm on prepaid and only pay $30... anyone have any idea?

I just found out that my phone is unlocked, I dialed *#simlock#and all said off. So does this open up more options for me? I'd like to keep 4g working
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Well you're on prepaid so don't worry about that message....can't charge you because you paid before....
Simplemobile apparently limits to approximately 2gb give or take a few. Their 3g plan actually gives you "4g". I don't see how they can actually adjust it to limit it to 3g speed only because 4g it's actually 3.5g..
So stick to the $40 plan.
You can also go straight talk. but i forget what the data limit is for that. Look it up.

Good info, just need to get some more info, maybe anyone that has tried it? I thought the old T-Mobile 4g phones where just like 3.5 and hspa+ was 4g?

The 40$ plan has terrible data speeds and sucks if you're using a smartphone. I would NOT recommend it.
ST throttles after (about) 2GB a month or 100MB a day. (technically the AT&T BYOD SIMs seem to be stricter about this than the T-Mobile ones)
