[Q] HTC Trophy battery charging problem

Hello Guys,
i have a problem with my Trophy.
A few days ago it stops charging. Not by usb port from PC or the charger.
I charged the battery externally and the Trophy is working normal.
Windows doesnt recognize the Trophy anymore.
When i go into bootloader menu, Windows does recognize the device,
and i was able to flash ROMs. I tried to flash a few ROMs (now the Touch-IT Trophy v2)
and it flashes without Problem and it runs again.
Just charging isnt working and windows doesnt recognize the device when its normal startet up to WP7.
I tried with diferent Usb cables and PC's. Always the same thing.
Any suggestions what it could be?
Could it be the Vcc pin on the usb port?
Best regards,

My 2nd Verizon Trophy has this issue. I have to get the USB cable "just right" to get it to flash, and it doesn't accept a charge. I haven't replaced or tried soldering the USB port yet, but I bought the phone 2nd hand and the USB port is really worn out. I really have no additional advice for you. :/ If you find out if HTC can fix it, let me know because I want to fix my other phone too.
*edit* Checkout this guide that was recently posted on the front page of xda-developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856180. Talks about cleaning the USB port out. Might be worth a shot, I know I am going to try it.
Thank you TheXev for your quick answer.
I just found out that the problem in my case is only software.
I idiot set my usb mode to "Diag mode", and that was the source of my problem.
I'm suprised that even a flash of another ROM isnt changing that setting, but ok.
I changed it back to Zune mode and windows does recognize my device, and its charging again.

Retrieving photos from Note 3

Hi,
I'm having issues with an old Galaxy Note 3.
The story is a friend of mine tried to replace the glass on his note 3 and botched it completely. He destroyed the display and gave up on it and eventually sent it to me completely disassembled(in individual parts)+ a new frame, sans the lcd, but it wasn't cost effective to replace the display so I let it sit and gather experience. He now asked me to retrieve his photos from the onboard storage and here is where I'm stuck.
I assembled the components on the new frame without the lcd and I put the battery in, let it charge for a bit and tried to connect it to the laptop and installed the usb drivers and kies.
The problem is that all the components listed under devices and printers for SAMSUNG_Android are locked, as in I am unable to update or change the drivers. Also, Kies reports being unable to connect to the phone.
The phone buzzes once upon connecting to the pc and the red led comes on(as it does when charging).
Am I missing something important? Should I use the old frame with the broken up lcd? I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks a bunch.
I was able to connect my phone to pc eventhough the screen is blank until I overblew it with hot air.... Maybe the mb has damaged?. Did yoy tried to install usb driver alone without kies?.

Sure, I had installed the usb files before Kies.
In the end, I let it charge overnight and it booted. Connected fine after that.
Thanks,

Problem with usb Connection - Slow charge - Tried Everything

Hello guys, I have a LG G2 which the mainboard died on me. I've bought a used LG G2 with a broken display so I could use its mainboard, and after replacing the original one everything seemed to be working, however the phone won't fast charge, and won't be recognized by any PC. I've tried 4 different cables (LG, Samsung, Dell, ASUS), and several different wall chargers, and the results are always the same, slow charging+USB Device not recognized on windows. I've suspected that it could be related to the usb port on the phone, so I've replaced my old one with that of the phone I've bought for parts, but still had no luck. Can anybody shed some light on this situation?
The problem is that the new mainboard is currently on Android 4.2, and there's no OTA available to me, so I need to connect to the pc in order to update at least to kitkat (I would like to install LineageOS ideally, but at least getting the official kikat would be fine).
Thanks in advance.
