WOW awesome cant wait for this

well my quadrant is faster, but nenamark not.
I have a HTC with android 2.2 and a moto milestone 2.2, one with snapdragon and one with omap. I would be pleased to test some. Also the milestone has a keyboard and a dpad so it would be nice to test that?
I know my nenamark is not enough but if I can help I will

Windows Phone compatable ?
Man I miss the dreamcast, awsome games for it's time. A system that died way before it's day.

Simply Wow
This is the most imperssive thing I have seen for this phone so far - lots of LONG RPG's for DC. This really will fill my time up nicely.
What a shame there was never a bluetooth Dc controller!

I am one of the testers for drk|Raziel.. He is "tired" for now. Unfortuantely he doesnt seem to want to work on it further and he hasnt given indication he will release source code made after 2006(the source that is out now). The android port was based off of the psp port. Its sad, but the emu may never be completed :| I have tried to get zotdd and yongzh to start on it perhaps or maybe drk can release the source code of what he has completed as of now. There is however, work on a Gamecube/Wii emu for android right now.

This has much potential.

ZOMG I would DIEEEE for a Dreamcast emulator!!
I remember saving up all my hard earned cash back in highschool and spending hours searching for free DUNs to play PSO (at night of course, we only have 1 phone line!). STRONG NOSTALGIA!!!
I still have my DC and a ton of games but it's so painful at the same time. It was such a beautiful console that never got the love it deserved. It died long before it's time and it's a crying shame. I never felt so passionate for a console, especially because of how it emulated NES, SNES and Genesis games so beautifully.
I would walk all over my mother to see a fully functioning Dreamcast emulator.... although I'm sure the developer would probably appreciate a donation instead LOL

Its a shame this was never finished.. so much potential

help me please how i can download it from his blog
please help

Any progress on this ? Would love to give it a try, I 've got a Samsung Galaxy S2 with 1.2Ghz dual core exynos

Good god this brings back memories, and shocks me a little, I didn't think we'd start seeing emulators for 6th gen consoles yet

Can I test?

Has anyone got an amiga emulator actually working?

I would like to get the older championship manager on my m5000 but struggling to get the emulator to work.
Any help?
thanks
Have you tried this?
I've never had a go, but would love a bit of North and South:
http://pocketinsanity.sourceforge.net/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,37/func,select/id,4/
Off topic - anyone ever thought: the commodore 64 could do simple text to speech. The BBC had it built in. SpyHunter on the BBC had sampled speech. And yet, notice how hard it is to get simple text to speech on a 500mhz phone? Flite is fat and still sounds like stephen hawkings after installing the Extended Rom dialer. Stoopid.
V
Pocket Insanity works but isn't perfect, the developer is actively working on making a better version or HTC Universal owners though.
Im able to play Dungeon Master on it though.
Cheers
Nasdaq
tried insanity but got very confused when it was asking for kickstart files etc.
then thought i would try pocketdos with an old pc version of championship manager but when launching cm it errors on needing vga. even if i am in vga mode.
any more help on the insanity program?
thanks
Kickstarts are the equivalent of OS Roms on Windows Mobile. You'll have to warez around for them, they're probably still copyright, but I'm sure if you check his forum somebody will have them hanging around.
Also check out abandonware sites. They occasionaly have them.

Dear timb551,
Here i uploaded the needed rom files and workbenchs for Amiga Emulator POCKETUAE... Amiga was a great machine and still the market owes lots of technology to Jay Miner " father of Amiga" or his Amiga... I am one of the lucky man who bought the first 50 Amiga 500 in Turkey...R.I.P. AMIGA... I will never forget the days i lived with you or your technology...
Fully agree with the Protochip - people who never used the Amiga can never fully appreciate it....it was already multitasking stuff in 1987 or so when the PC (and others) were simplistic text boxes.
How I wish someone resurrected the Amiga - properly.
Yeah, completey OT, but they've screwed up the new Amiga more then if they'd let the original die and be nicely remembered.
But I have to say, I think I had more fun on the Amiga then on any other system. I think I spent YEARS making the ultimate WorkBench disk, even throwing in the occasional rolling on the floor fit while PowerPacker unpacked my executables.
I remember laughing when I thought about mouse drivers on the PC being bigger then my whole Workbench disk... we've only gone up a factor of a thousand or so now to boot our OS
I still dearly love my A500. A600 was for girls, A1200 was a bad ass machine. I even still have an A1000. There's a name I haven't heard in a loong time... How cool was that - booting Dragon's Lair WITHOUT a kickstart to make maximum use of system memory. That's some hairy hacking... Happy days.
But yeah >wiping tear from eye< has anyone got a good Amiga emulator working? I'd love to have a blast on Defender of the Crown... (I highly recommend Slay on the PocketPC if you want a similar game)
V
I've been trying to get pocketuae working on my vario, no luck so far I've got a few adf files and most of the roms but still cant get past the intial blank screen. Fingers crossed I can get it working I cant wait to play sensible soccer again!
syndicate 8) wars was what had me playing till the ealy hours of the morning and missing school! damn them where good ollll days,
Amiga Rules / OT
Oh man !!!
i agree with VJ amiga times where the best times on computing for me ...
From the great speedball2 to create scrols on devpac ..... to the Deluxepaint .....
And then my best machine ever A3000T with opalvision............
oh oh oh
ok let me go back to today and use this dam PC !!!!
I am setting myself up for some serious flaming here, and it is not intentional, my mates all had amiga 500s, but there was a small group of us who had a far superior machine - the Atari ST! Mine is still going - I love it to bits! Hehe would also love to see a decent amiga emulator for PPC, they were the days indeed!

I'm not sure but I think you mean either 'Kult' or 'Ween', both french and both very weird. OR you could mean 'Captive' which was sort of Dungeon Master like. If you are looking for a specific game, try googling for Godflesh FTP.

Galaxy S2 Wiimote Gaming Holder

Hey guys,
I picked up a Galaxy S2 the other day with emulation in mind because of the huge screen, the power and the weight of the device. I got the phone, rooted it, installed the latest MIUI rom 1.7.8 which is fabulous apart from a few kinks. The phone is really responsive and fast and it was an awesome buy. After playing around with it a bit, i tried out some emulators. I found that games which don't require any reactions were playable on the device, and others which needed fast action were just really tough to play, megaman, sonic and mario for example. I bet your thinking "Mario? Action? lol!" well i mean action as in its slightly fast paced, you need to have 100% accuracy when playing the game for it to be effective and efficient on the device, which for me it was not i kept missing buttons and stuff, more importantly my hand covered the whole of mario so i couldn't see him which was a large downside.
So i decided to get the Wiimote working on the device, which is why in the end i rooted the device and installed MIUI because luckily the bluetooth stack for the rom supports the wiimote which is great. And like all the previous phones i had (Nexus One, Desire, iPhone 4) all have Wiimote support but that is no good for on the go playing, and tbh its only good when you have a stand for the phone and a good chair where you can watch the device while playing using the wiimote over bluetooth.
This in my eyes was not practical enough for playing comfortably, so i looked into something else, and discovered these:

At first glance you think "Thats clever!" and it is clever it gives a solution to having to hold the phone and the wiimote to play. But not being offensive to the creator/designer or anything but they aren't exactly pretty. I tried to make something too but it was a complete fail, it wasn't secure, it looked horrible and it wasn't detachable, so i came up with something better. I was trying to think of a material which was both durable, secure, strong and customisable enough to build a practical solution. Then it hit me: lego.
I present to you, the Galaxy S2 Wiimote Gaming Holder! It's made 100% out of lego (the structure, that is) and connects securely to to wiimote and the phone. The video will tell more.
Here is the link to the full gallery of pictures on my Dropbox account. Theres a total of 33 images to look through.
I hope you guys like this, I can imagine that lots of people would want one of these hehe. If you want one then post and we can sort something out. Theres a few reasons I posted this because I thought you guys would find this interesting and that this can be adapted for other phones as the bass structure is universal to any Wiimote. So there you go. Post comments, suggestions, views and ratings etc i'm eager for feedback
Haha! Classic!
Added the youtube video
how did you manage to pair the wiimote to the galaxy s2? everywhere i look, it says that it doesn't work.

Thats what I thought until i tried MIUI rom. It won't work on the stock roms or other roms based off the stock (thats an educated guess) as the bluetooth stack won't support it. But MIUI does and also CyanogenMOD when the nighties and final get released for this device.
I think the amazing thing here isn't your holder but that you found a way to get the Samsung Galaxy S II working with a Wiimote (no offence to your holder).
I'll have to put a new ROM on my phone so I can use the Classic Controller and the SNES Classic Controller .
Cool man,,,so does this work with all the games?? u know like gameloft's and other games??
I don't think so. But emulators usually allow to map hardware butons so I will be happy just with them
Technically it works with anything that can map hardware buttons, to my knowledge anyway.
have you seen this? hackaday.com/2010/07/29/super-simple-gaming-controller-for-android-or-iphone
it´s already done!
I've never seen that before, but it looks pretty sweet xD. I still prefer mine though. Lego is probably cheaper and much more detachable, and smaller. Nice find though ;p

i think the question is always posed but .. i want to know ... what program you use to play with your wiimote ? many programs on the market say that "newer samsung like SGS or SGS2 don"t work with wiimote"...
thanks !

What games do you think SHOULD be on the Play?

Just as the title says, what do you think would be a great game or games to have on this phone, but try to be realistic, for example, don't say Mass Effect 3 or anything of that sort, that's what OnLive is for. I'll go first.
I think Grandia 2 would be a great game to have on the Play, it was originally for the Dreamcast. It even looks like it could be an Android title in the first place IMO.

Precisely Grandia, like other turn-based RPG or strategy game, is the kind of game that I wouldn't mind seeing in any Android phone, but which wouldn't fully use the virtues of the gamepad. In fact I think those kinds of games which don't require reflexes or speed of mashing buttons are better suited for the touchscreen, provided that you solve the issue of moving the characters. Games like Final Fantasy Tactics would be very nice to see properly ported to an Android phone.
A good fighter (that excludes that abortion called Fight Game Heroes which came about some time ago) is something we're sorely lacking, and which would use it. The Soul Calibur series would be legendary, a dream come true.
I would like to see a version of uncharted like the ps vita one

Crash Team Racing (even though most people already have it)
I decided to look back on this topic.
I would love to have Doom 3 on the Android. That would be sweet. The requirements aren't even high at all (may need an OC'd Play since 1.5GHz is the minimum). The demo was also released for Linux, yet it was most likely closed source so that wouldn't work. Just a cool thought.

Xperia play 2 aka vita phone

This is another much better concept idea which I found on the web the only problem was that they said it would have the aspect ratio changed but it was said to feature a tegra 3 as well as mini analogs like the vita

Remember that this is a fan concept art, it's not an official work or design from Sony.
I couldn`t imagine this ever becoming a reality, the simple issue of how the phone would slide up and down with those analogue sticks sticking out is enough of a problem.
That is so not even close to what reality would be, if an Xperia Play 2 even ever happens.
I don't know why people keep insisting on posting these xperia play 2 forms on here. Every time ones posted it receives nothing but the same replies as the other xperia play 2 forms. STOP POSTING THESE!!!!! We know the rumors, were all big fans of Sony's gaming products! Unless some news pops up with ACTUAL photos of a prereleased model we don't care. I thought you guys would of learned from the release of this phone, I know I did. The rumors for this phone started about 2 years before the release. So by my count you still have a year and a half till this phone comes out and that's if it actually does. So for the sake of the form and to save your a#$ from being chewed out don't post unless its GOOD NEWS!

If I recall properly, while the device sales weren't tremendous, this device managed to bring out a niche of gamers who actually buy games. It would make sense for them to hold off the release until they can't milk the Xperia Play's gaming side any longer, particularly if they're making money with Xperia Play Optimized licensed games as I suppose they are.
They sold a total of less than 1000 games the psx ones and the optimised did much better but still not great they need better and more games and pssuite as promised what we all want is console quality games on our plays like gta 3 they should really port the successful ps 1 and 2 games like god of war prince of persia silent hill etc they would make MUCH better sales and everyone would be happy

I dont think so, i think hes doing them game by game at the moment.....not like traditional emulators, but you never know, maybe some point down the line, if its technically possible......which to me, its seems like all the ingredients are there.
From what i understand hes figured out a way to convert x86 ?binaries? on the fly [JIT], to something arm can understand, and bypassing some[all?] of the emulation and saving some of the processing power that normally gets used by that emulation. Is that a first for android emulation technique?i dont know
He gives a much better account of it on his blog
Alright for fans of ceasar 3, looks like the beta's now available on the playstore, bugs have already been reported and a new update is in the process of being pushed to the market, so hopefully that helps.

make RA2 Happen!!!
I played it some last night on my note. The S-pen makes it a lot easier to navigate through the menus in the game. The only thing I didn't like was the always touch the screen was a left click. I accidently destroyed some buildings because I had the shovel selected and built some in places I didn't want to since its a little hard to position exactly since it builds right away. But as far as performance I played for about 30 minutes and only used 5% battery and it ran perfect. No lag or slow downs. Loads up fast. You do have to put the games on built in sdcard since the program only seems to scan for games there and its not configurable.
still trying to get a hold of the game lol

You do have to put the games on built in sdcard since the program only seems to scan for games there and its not configurable.

5% in 30 minutes, thats impressive......thats a total average of 10 hours playtime, not to shabby........although i suspect different games will vary depending on how graphic intensive they are
Glad to hear it runs smoothly, saw one or two videos, and was wondering if the whole game played as smooth, glad to hear it does
How are the control widgets, are they implemented well
Control widgets
Edit
Can someone confirm whether a bluetooth mouse works, assuming someone has one and is kind enough to confirm it, thanks
Edit 2
