My phone was dying while on the road, so I swapped my Vibrant battery with my GF's Fascinate battery because she had nearly a full charge. Everything seemed fine. When I got home to recharge my phone, my vibrant shuts down and won't turn back on until I unplug the charger. Anyone knows how to fix this?

If you are rooted, boot into clockwork menu, wipe battery stats, Data cache & Dalvik Cache. reboot put your old battery back in rejoice.

Yesterday everything was OK. I flashed my phone to newest version of OpenEclair, put phone on charger (like every night) and then went to sleep.
Today, when i plug phone off charger they automatically turn off. When i plug charger on the phone is running ok, but everywhere (eg. in Spare Parts) they shows that battery is 0% charged, battery level is Good (100%), and battery temperature is 67.7*C (153.86*F).
I tried to insert other battery to Phone. I found that, Nokia BL-5C battery have similiar parameters, but everything was identical to situation on original battery.
What may be wrong? What should I do?
Sorry for my bad english.
Use the recovery image in my sig if you don't have it already and wipe battery stats, reboot and let the phone charge fully.
Doesn't work.
Now the situation on
HTC battery & charger: phone turns on (on power on blink one time red) and after 1min they shut down without any information
Nokia BL-5C battery & charger: phone turn on (blink one time red) and still runs without any problems.
I'm not sure, is that battery or phone disfunction? Important is that Nokia BL-5C battery has only 3.7Wh. HTC battery has 4.25Wh.
Damn your phone is 2x hotter then mine xD
its only shown temperature, i dont believe [and dont feel] this temperature

Its the other way around
You Fully charge then wipe the stats:

My comment was assuming he started with a full charge in the first place.
Reboot the phone and use it normally, but don't charge until it shuts off.
Recharge the phone completely and then use as you normally would.

I have bought new battery for g1, and this problem still exists...
Is any program or anything, which "cheats" system about battery?
Phone can run out of charger only in recovery menu - at normal theyre shutdowing because of low battery.
Can i do anything without visiting service? Any ideas?

Sounds like phone. A new battery would've solved this problem. Why do you not wanna visit service? Just unroot and demand a replacement.
Just a little something lots of people have probably noticed with the vibrant battery that I ran into as well.
When you are done charging the phone and unplug it, sometimes it immediately drops down to 97-98%
Yesterday, each time the phone said it was fully charged, I just unplugged and then replugged the battery. And It would charge for another 10-15 minutes.
I was able to do this 4 or 5 times, each time it took a little less time. But once I got it to a 'true' 100%, i reconditioned the battery, and I feel like I am doing a lot better on power than I was before.
Maybe the whole thing is in my head, maybe theres 20 threads about this already, but here it is again. Hope it helps someone.
Nope, that's real. You're doing a type of bump charge, and it does help your battery at the top end. Normally I stop when my batt hits 4250mah.
Thanks for the advice.
Have any of you guys ever experienced something like this?
Last night I got my phone down to 2-3% before recharging. However, it was feeling a little sluggish so I decided to reboot (with the charger still plugged in). After I rebooted it, it reported the battery at 27% charging. Note: This was literally 5 minutes after I started charging my phone...
I think I'm going to reboot my phone first before I plug it in..

Try recalibrating your battery.
If you have clockworkmod installed follow these steps
1. Charge phone completely, leave plugged into power
2. Boot into recovery
3. Wipe battery stats
4. Reboot
5. Remove power cable
6. Drain that sucker all the way
7. Recharge fully
8. Rejoice!"

I completely discharged the phone last night, and it's on a fresh install the 2nd time. However when I switched to my secondary battery, let it discharge, it's stuck at 99% and won't say it's fully charged. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've also pulled out the battery, and cleared the delvik cache or whatever that was someone recommended to me.

Is it an official atrix battery or a third party battery?
Sent from my Chuck Norris powered Steelblurred Atrix
I was running CleanROM (doubt it has anything to do with it). Woke up this morning, phone was working fine. During my first break at work, it was off. Tried turning it on but it goes through the LG splashcreen, then the blue loading circle. Came back home and it doesn't charge. Stuck at 0%.
Made a nandroid backup earlier so I factory reset it. I am able to turn it on once in a while and checked the battery settings, it says needs more time to collect battery usage. Still the phone is stuck at 0%.
Hoping anyone has a fix/answer. TIA
Plug it into a wall outlet. Leave it alone for an hour or so . Give it time to charge up

I left it there for 2 hours, still 0. When I use the phone (While plugged in) it works fine. Unplug it, turns off immediately. It doesn't do that when I'm in recovery.
I formatted data in recovery, still getting the same results. I'm trying to unroot and bring it back to stock but I'm having problems with my PC atm.
Battery stats
Hi!
Did you already try wiping battery stats partition?

I remember that on CWM, but I'm on TWRP. I don't think I've seen that option.
Deleted battery stats, still stuck on 0%. I even switched ROMs from nanadroid to see, no changes.
Phone turned on this morning. Risked taking it out with me for work. The problem now is that the battery was stuck at 100%. After 10 hours of usage and wake an hour on screen time. That's not normal.

How did you solve the problem then?
i have samsung note 10.1 same issue stuck at 0% only
how did you get to 100%
its better than stuck at 0% coz i cant use it when unplug on the charger
Good afternoon guys. A few days ago I bought an original Samsung battery to my N910F. But something is wrong with it, it charges up to 87%. Battery calibration app says that it's charged (due to correct voltage number), but not 100%.
I've searched some infomation about it and possible fixes. So far I did: completly discharge it to 0% and then turn on Note to make the battery 100% dead and then charge it without touching to 100% - no success. Calibrate battery through battery calibration app - still no success, 87%...
I need your help...
how are you charging it (like through computer usb ports or charger)? i read that using a higher or lower voltage than OEM may cause issues.
Maybe u can return it back to the seller.

Thank you tareqjordan. I also wiped dalvik cache and cache and everything worked out.
Did you try to charge it turned off.
Few days i charge my note.
No fast charge.
I see the green light and its charged.
Usually i reboot always from full charge.
That time i instead on a reboot i turn it off , then i see charging at 94% just leave it until 100 ?
And if you have 96 97 and remove the battery mine goes to 100 again. And last a few minutes more.

Hello sir, does this method worked perfectly so far? Has the problem came back by any chance?

Heello vincehoo. Yes it has came back once after I have flashed new rom. Then I turned off the phone, pull out the battery, let it stay without battery for a minute, then put the battery in and went to recovery, wiped dalvik cache and cache. After all my battery charges up to 100% without any problem.
