The version you will download in SGS forums here on XDA is made for our international version, so you will be fine.

Have fun!
Root for 2.21
Try this Super One Click
Alternatively, you can flash the latest voodoo 5.0.3. There are two 5.0.3s there, JPU and JPX, be sure to pick the right one. It comes with ClockworkMod recovery that can be very handy. Then just download Superuser from the market. If you're not interested in the lagfix, create the folder(s) /Voodoo/disable-lagfix on the internal sd before flashing so you can skip the conversion process. It's what I did.
Thanks for your help guys.
Much appreciated =D
hi all i spent three days trying to root my fone without losing my wifi.i finnaly found a web site. go to google type xxjpu galaxy root.you should find a site that as xxjpu root and voodoo all in flash + ther are some realy cool addons tools. the fourm is becoming to confusing with so many fimwares floating around.the should be a data base system like samfirmware.com to make it easy.

What product code do you have? If its TTT then there is an update in kies. Just download the latest kies and update. Then you can root by flashing speedmod or with superoneclick. Then please share the modem! If you dont know how then i can explain it is very easy. I have been looking for this modem for quite some time!
If you have any problems updating send me a PM and I can walk you through it.
Cheers
well the model is GT-I9000T
Firmware version 2.1 update1
Baseband version I9000TUBJH1
Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
Build Number Eclair.UBJI1
Could you send me the link of a good tutorial for the update or walkme through it.
I have connect my mobile to the Kies (latest version) but it seems that for my company (Tigo) and my country the Froyo version is not abailable yet...
so what are my options?
product code: GT-I9000HKTTTT
First you need to change your csc. Type *#272*hhmm# where hhmm is current hour and minutes on your phone. Change your salea code to TTT. This will also wipe your phone but its must.
Now.connect with kies. Let me know.

Hey pple been resarching and latest seems to be 2.3.5. When i search in kies says i have latest which is 2.3.3. How can i update?
If its been asked before sorry
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
The updates are available but not at the same time and not in all countries. It depends on in what country you live and what branding the phone has.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Android version 2.3.5 is leaked, if you want it you'll have to flash it via Odin. The latest - official- version of Android is 2.3.4 but as stated previously, it depends on what country you live in/your phones brand/etc.
Im in australia. How can i check if im branded?

Yeah, battery life is pretty damn good now.
I'm running stock too.
Oh, and the sound is better.
Go here to get the latest stock firmware..

Read the 1st few posts to get a handle on how to flash his stuff.
Forget keis. Anything you can get through keis is here on xda and quicker to flash.
I'm using KI3 with Optus.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I'm running KI4 (2.3.5) and DUKF4 modem (3 Australia) and get good battery life plus data connectivity. On Optus in Perth and get H+ in some areas.
The DUKF4 modem has worked best for me. I have flashed other ROMs and with those modems all I got was Edge connectivity.

Follow my previous link and read the 1st few posts.
Intratechs firmwares are official if they are not classed as Frankenstein.
They are not rooted either.
Just follow that link and see if your areas firmware is listed or listed in the link in his threads 1st post. It's the same as you get off keis.
