[Q] Screen Resolution - Desire HD General

Is there a way to change the screen resolution on the DHD ?

why would you want to ?, its already running at its native res

Like everything after crt-tv's has a fixed resolution... You can set the density, but that'll glitch the interface.

Wallpapers for HTC Touch

don't know if this is the right forum but ppcgeeks was down and i thought i'd ask here...
when i download wallpapers for my touch onto the desktop they look fine, if i have to resize them to 240 X 320 in photoshop i do, but when i set them as my today's screen background the images are fuzzy/low res in certain areas of the image
is that just the 65,000 color display limitation of the phone? or are there some settings in ps that i can use to change that when resizing images...
thanks
This post I did a ppcgeeks.com should help you!

Any way to change the size of the statusbar without changing lcd density

I really like the way my system looks with a higher density setting.
Unfortunately some things look better bigger or just don't look good at all / don't work at all in lower density settings.
Is there a way to size down specific UI elements in specific the statusbar?

Why do my 320x480 wallpapers have to be cropped by default?

When I want to select a picture I got from my PC to my X8 in the correct resolution I still have to crop the picture to make it look pixelated and crap. Why does the X8 force me to do this?
hey its easy..the thing with picture is that the over all resolution of the wallpaper for x8 is greater than the resolution of the screen. like you may have more then one window like in case of three. the resolution would be like 320*3=940 into 480 res picture. if you want single slide then i think there is other wallpaper application which doesnot use the default wallpaper chooser program and got it own. right now i forget the name. but there is app for it.

Difference between dencity and resolution?

How are these different
If we change dencity of android phone so is resolution will be the same?
Resolution of a display is the total number of pixels that the display contains.
The actual hardware density is constant, but the density that is presented to the software can be changed.
If a program needs to display something that needs to look a certain height, and the reported display density is 160 ppi, the program will use 16 pixels, but if the reported density is 200, that tells the program that the pixels are smaller, and it will use 20 pixels to present the same object. However, since the resolution is unchanged, the object will actually look bigger.
I hope that clears it up for you.
Thnkss a lot
And changing Density is certainly usefull for new High Resolution Devices that Cant Operate old apps fullscreen...
Changing means it should be kept to high,so that every object looks smaller and really becomes to look like high quality.

Resolution effed up?

I change my resolution to 1920 x 1080 and all it does is change the size of the fonts, it becomes unreadable the tiles and basicaally the whole metroui remains the SAME size , its like windows its not adjusting the resolution properly, anyone else with this problem_ i have to use lousy 1360x768
Sounds like a DPI issue...
