Stumbed on this the other day:
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/12/saving-data-safely.html
Most importantly:
The reason this should be of concern to Android developers is that with 2.3, an increasing proportion of devices, notably including the Nexus S, are going to be moving from YAFFS to the ext4 filesystem, which buffers much more aggressively; thus you need to be more assertive about making sure your data gets to permanent storage when you want it to.

Seems that EXT4 is now Google's choice of FS, so it seems Google/Samsung are definitely reading XDA

They could release a small maintenance build fixing the TW lock screen date bug, browser checker boarding bug and the Gallery sensor bug.
God forbid they actually fix the keyboard lag that was present in DI18, if not since launch. (Which Impaler has already fixed on here.)
Where I work, patching production builds/environments take priority over new development.
When did all this happen? Good things or bad things?

Uhhh, I can't say. The Value Pack is Gingerbread based, even more so it's Gingerbread, it's not impossible, I don't think it is in any way shape or form and it's all things on the Rom side, not on the kernel side as far as I'm aware.

Hey I would suggest a layout like rom manager... split it up by phone and band... i'm not a programmer just an apps analyst. But if you design it like the clockwork rom manager then it should be easy to use.... sorry I couldn't give more input.
What kind of functionality do you anticipate that the app will have? If it's merely an app for downloading modems, it shouldn't be too hard. If you want it to be able to reboot into clockworkmod and install the modem, I think it would be harder. Though I haven't read anything about doing the latter, just assuming here.
I don't undersant what you should to do with this modem app....

Hi,
I just wanted to know that if anyone working on implementing f2fs into Nexus S device.
It could extend this unit life until 2015...

Are you saying that my Nexus S will die before 2015 without F2FS?
This can improve performance on our device but sadly on our development forum we don't have anymore active rom and kernel devs to do that

It makes the read/write a bit faster than ext4 (as per my understanding), but so far it's not widely adopted and requires both ROM and kernel support.. This is the main hurdle for our device as development is dwindling..
