[Q] Accidently remove T-Mobile Wi-FI/Data widget from home screen - Desire HD General

Hi, I have a HTC Desire HD from T-Mobile and recently accidently removed the wi-fi/Bluetooth,setting widget from the home screen which allow me to quickly switch these functions on/off.
I'm unable to find any way to restore the original widget. I suspect a factory resest could do it but I don't really want to go that far.
Can anyone assist please? Thanks in advance.
Antony.

Errrm, are you referring to the power control widget? If so, what happens when you try to add it?

technically if you just add the power widget itll come back... but im hoping he didnt TB it and get rid of it...

widgets and icons issues

Hi all,
just got my streak....
I don't find a way to remove widgets and icon, i tried the normal way keeping those pressed but the bin does not appear like in all other android device. Can anyone help a noob to solve it ?
Hold the widget or icon till it turns red then press the menu button and there is a remove option. If you have a look on your sd card there is a pdf manual. Hope you ae enjoying your streak.

i looked the pdf...the widget section does not explain that....and the way you suggested did not work. the only way i found is to use adw launcher istead of default one

I had the issue with the icon removal as well... I ended up doing a factory reset and it fixed up the issue. You hold the icon until it turns red, press and hold the menu button, then let go of the icon... you will see a pop-up tab asking if you want to remove.. Hope this helps clarify...

[Q] Home button disabled... how to reset

i decided to find out what the hullabaloo about Beautiful Widgets was and bought it... and then tried their fanciful widgets and weather and stuff. Not sure if I get the deal, (I look at the sky to find out the weather and I dont need more reminders of what time it is) but anyway -- last night I got into some settings in BW and then remember something about "reboot to disable home button" or whatever and I forgot I was not rooted, so I went ahead with it. (Had i been rooted I would have done a data wipe and restore and not needed to make another XDA thread)
But now I cannot use my home button. It goes nowhere. It vibrates but thats it. Doesnt go "Home" and long press doesnt give me my last 6 apps.
I uninstalled BW (both the apk and whatever the widgets were) so now I have no more BW on the phone, and it somehow even reset my system settings so I had to set that all up over again!!!!
I had Launcherpro apk and Zeam and have uninstalled both of those and now I only have ADW launcher. I set the ADW settings to enable the home button to go to "default screen" but now it doesnt do anything.
I havent been able to use home button normally since that Beautiful Widget setting thing last night.
My next step is to go into fastboot and do a data-wipe (the stock settings for data reset doesnt really come close to what a fastboot data wipe does, I think) but then Ill have to deal with restoring a non-rooted phone and not looking forward to that without my beloved Titanium Backup.
So anyone know Beautiful Widgets inside out who can let me know how to get my home button back to normal. Otherwise its a hardware issue and I doubt it because ive been treating this phone like its the queen of england, delicate and carefully.
Im positive this was caused by a Beautiful Widget setting change...
solved
I tried everything possible.... and got so pissed about the home button not working that I did a factory reset off the SPL. That fixed it -- my home button now works.
So something in the Beautiful Widgets settings caused something to become embedded and it made my home button useless. Im 99.9% sure of that -- .01% would go towards "hardware malfunction".
careful in those BW settings. nice widgets, but horrible batt-drain. Too Sense-i for me.
Did you try resetting the default app settings for Beautiful Widgets or the built-in launcher? Menu -> Applications -> Beautiful Widgets -> Reset Defaults.

Help with Power Widget

I'm trying to get a power widget that will allow me to turn on 3g/2g data. I thought that the stock HTC one let you do this but I can't find a way to do it...
(Please note I know there are apps I can buy that have this but they just take you to the menu settings for networking..i don't want this.. I want to just turn it off and on from my home screen)
Stock sense has one. Add widget - Settings - Mobile Network.

You've added a shortcut, you need to add a widget as nutunited says.
If that doesn't work for you, I use SwitchPro. Does exactly what you want and customisable

Remove Lockscreen

Hi! I'm using C Lockscreen (found here on XDA) and Iwant to get rid of the "stock lockscreen" but Ididn't find how to do so.
I want to have the CLocker when not at home (wifi unlock, found how to set it) but when at home I want to open my phone directly on the home screen (no "slide to unlock")
Can you give me some advice, please?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Have you checked in the lockscreen settings, if you are able to set your phone to open directly (without unlocking)?
As far as I know, when you have a password/pin/pattern lock set up, you should have the option to unlock directly, without having the magazine unlock.
I've tried but without success. Now I've changed to Hi Locker and I've get rid of the Huawei's lockscreen. The funny part is that the settings are the same

Aah, then it must be app related. At least you found an alternative.
Unfortunately it seems tha the problem is not app related: from yesterday I've again the problem of the double lockscreen. TheHuawei's Lockscreen is apparently disabled (setting: None) but it refuse to stay quiet
Do you know if I can block the lockscreen from the settings without putting at risk the phone?
