Hi guys..the above prob does not happen when during the call i use the slide dialpad..at that time screen gets locked!!
Is any settings that i have to change?

It keeps your face from inadvertently pressing the cancel/end call button. To unlock screen during call, double tap screen.
But when i dont use the slide dialpad the proximity sensor doesnt work..thats the problem..

Any experts here..please help/suggest..currently i always use the slide dialpad to avoid touching my cheeks with the end call button screen..

2/3 times my cheeks press the end call button :'(

Check the Android Dev section of this forum you might find some answers there... or...
Try flashing your phone again.
I'm not an expert so that's all I can tell you. Maybe others have better solutions.
I read other threads too..some guy is doing some kind of a experimnt..
Can u confirm if u r facing the same issue or not?

Got a task killer? If so, remove it and see what it does. Had something similar happen.

First step is to see if your proximity sensor works at all...
Go to the lock screen and press:
Menu Back Menu Back Back Menu Back Menu Menu Back
Find the proximity sensor test and press your finger against the phone just above the screen.
As of this day I can only use my Tab in vertical view. Does anyone know a solution so my Tab will be able to switch (rotate) from vertical to horizontal view? I have the rotation lock off. Thanks for helping me out.

Do you use a custom rom?
there is possibly a setting stuck... do you have experience with adb? you can use logcat to find out what happens if you switch orientation lock off and on and if you get errors when you (physically) change orientation of the tab...
does it only make problems with the homescreen or in every app?
I have the standard rom. Only You Tube can I view in horozontal mode. I have tried setting the rotation lovk on, and off and shaking my Tab, all to no avail. I have no experience with adb. My Tab is rooted and I have a terminal emulator program installed.

For about a week or so now, My camera keeps popping up, and taking pictures without me knowing, or when I'm in the middle of something when the screen is on. I've look at countless threads on other phones and it seems to be successful for others, But I'm guessing this device isn't similar. Anyone have any clue on how to disable the camera button on the side?
I'm on 4.2 and sometimes my pocket can unlock trigger the camera from the lock screen. If that's the case, there's lock screen policy in the market.
Theres also button remapper somewhere on xda to disable the camera button. Can't search since I don't have my computer with me.

Thanks for the heads-up on lock screen policy. I always hated pulling out my phone to see the camera was on.

I use a program called buttonremapper. Works great.
A lot of people have been complaining about stock camera on Moto G. They complain of not having options to touch to focus, control picture size and many other things.
I decided to look at that and come it with a solution. I an not a Dev so I couldn't. But while clicking pics one day, I found advance option in stock camera in moto g to have these features.
To go to advance option on stock camera of moto g, first open the camera app then hold your phone horizontally. Now open settings by dragging your finger from left to right, when settings would open you can see a bug on the bottom on the right side of the screen. Click on this bug, and voila you'd be in advance configuration of the camera app. From here, you'll be able to change the size of your pics, can add face detection in front cam, touch to focus and many others.
Guys, enjoy.
I can't see the bug on the bottom right of the screen. What stock cam version is this tried on?

I am running 3.2.14.4 and I don't have that thing, awkward.
Thanks for the tip. Open the settings and the button appears where the video record button was

Guys, pull your current camera app and post it.If needed pull both from /data/app and from /system/app
for those who want the camera app with advanced setting option..
extract and push to system to install
not a flashable zip

No go, seems that is a debug mode for the camera, the question is how did you enable it?

There must be a combination of things to endable it...maybe some one can look in te code of the camera app? and find the hidden key combination of things?
just an idea
Many people are not getting the bug so I, myself tried to find it the cause. The results that came out if my outcome is ; if you're on a custom ROM then and then only you can see the bug icon.
From those on the stock, you'll have to wait until I or someone other port the libs of camera and required files to stock ROM to enable that feature.
why i cant see the bug.. seems like a bug to camera or application or the system
Guys, camera libs to Stock ROM seems to be impossible for me as whenever I do that, the stock ROM fails to boot up.
The only way you can get that is try custom took like C ROM or CM11. It is working on both of them, I don't know about others. Try it on other rooms too and see if it works.
