Battery lasts for 56 hours... - G2 and Desire Z General

And it's still at 86%...
Did I overcharge or something?

I dont know why but this thread made me lols ! The phone hasnt been plugged in
within the 56 hours ? Could you post a screenshot of the battery status screen ?

I call shenanigans

Screen off and in airplane mode is the only way you'd be able to pull that off.

You're a fool.

Epic magical uber leet jesus battery thread ftw!
Pics or it didnt happen.

I only see it possible if you did a restore and haven't charged.
Example: Performed a restore using a recovery from two days. Before restoring the battery was fully charged. This will cause the amount from last charge to be out of wack and show the amount of hours since your recovery rom was charged.

Oh that? That's a ROM I flashed on your phone. It's called JokesOnYou V1.3
Changelog:
1.0 = Your phone is dead with that image displayed forever
1.1 = Updated the framework, your phone is still dead, but now it's Gingerbread
1.2 = (removed) sent continuous screenshots to Cyanogen, making him **** his pants. I got sick of donating enough for new pants.
1.3 = deducts a penny from the debit card you use in the android market daily to contribute to steve jobs' coffin. It's pretty nifty, called the iDead and continually updates it's users letting us know that he is, in fact, still dead...your phone (sadly) is still dead and will continue to display your insane battery life.

troll bait

My cliq lasted 13+- days in airplane mode and wifi on but not associated.
That would be about the same as the OP is claiming.

Put the bats away he's not a troll.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

Foolishness.

56 hours isn't that crazy if you think about it, it's almost 2 1/2 days, if you put your in edge, and low brightness and don't text or call anyone or use at all, for that matter, I think you can achieve that. There's people who go for 2 days without charging. I don't see why it can't happen. It's not a blackberry but ****tt, it's close enough.

Im in mn too, just noticed that too
Given the fact it want designed for our phone, it won't show 3 digit temps, most people saw that back when the ports started, resizing had been a pain.

Also from Minnesota. Yesterday was pretty crazy! I noticed while charging my phone with GPS on my phone would overheat in the shade after a few min, somewhat annoying.
I got to enjoy that in MN also.
My car registered 103 as a temp. No sense 3.0, so I had no phone issues
Here is the temp here in DE an hour ago
Man, i saw this thread title and assumed it was another northerner *****in' about the "heat" being in the 80's. I was so excited to spank them with some Texas temps (we've been 96-98 for two weeks) but then i saw your image. Well played sir. You win!
Not only was it over a hundred degrees but the humidity was just as high! Makes for crazy hot days.

I've noticed that if I put my phone in the waste band of my pants when I go outside,my phone gets so hot it leaves a big red rectangle sunburn like spot on my skin.

Sprint should replace the stock battery under TEP. If you have it. At least around here I cant tell you how many times ive walked in with other devices ive had and told them the battery either didnt work or it would hold a charge for poop and no questions asked they just took the phone from me and stuck in a battery (new or used I honestly couldnt tell you). And just chalked it up to TEP.

FYI, you can get OEM batteries on Ebay pretty cheap. Saw one for under $6 shipped the other day. Also, I believe these batteries are the same as the ones in the Sprint Hero, if that widens your search results. And finally, back in the day a lot of people just walked into a Sprint store and asked for a new battery and they gave them one from a return/refurb/repair or something.

Its ur skinny jeans that cause your battery to die. The friction and rubbing cause electoral interfernce making it hot which increase heat also send radtion to your balls so you wont produce sperm when you get older.

and you have an extra battery you can keep charged in the wall charger. All for only 20 bucks. If i am going to be out for a while i throw the extra battery in my pocket.

How much did you actually use your S2?
My guess is very little, look at the power use ratio of screen vs. cell standby, they are almost the same. Right my phone is 57% display vs. 3% cell standby.
This looks like barely open SGS2, no wifi , barely touched...

Exactly, posts like this are tragic in my book, oh look how many hours i get, anyone can get that if you don't or barely use your phone.
Wow what a pointless first post.. Congratulations on not using phone..
Anyone could get battery life of xxx hours if they never use there phone, it's the screen on time that everyone cares about since generally people with such amazing devices rooted and pimped can't put there phone down...
I get 4:30 hours with CheckROM 4.0 and DK kernel, all values to stock... and that's with playing games! My battery is the stock one.
I guess with minimum brightness, underclock and undervolt and no games i can get 5+ hours but I wouldn't count that as normal usage either.
i charge mine everyday and always excited and looking forward to charging.

Fantastic....
If you wanted to buy a phone you aren't going to use and then brag about not using at all for 100 hours maybe next time you could review this?
Would make you look a fair bit less ridiculous, you would have got the same use out of it and would have saved you over £300...
The only great thing about having such a great battery life and not using your phone is if you end up losing it, which is unlikely if its lying there on the side all the time.. At least you know its bound to stay awake for a few days so you can send over Plan B and locate it. Funnily enough I went on a cruise this year, start of November and after 5 days of no use (being in the middle of the Ocean n all, i went to grab my phone from inside the suitcase to find it was still turned on, (i swore i turned it off) and the battery dropped no more than 40 percent. Was amazed to find it last so long, especially as i've not got the patience to leave it dormant for so long.
keep your galaxy off and the battery usage could be increased to a year lol
bought one of the best phone in the market and not using it all features? rofl
dont have what to say
This post is similar to "Hey look at my mileage of the car that is parked in the garage".
Kinda pointless imo.
Lot of comment you got there LOL
Mine are using about ½% per hour in standby (little sync, good 3G connection, no Wifi), so it might last for about 200 hours (8 days) ... if I ever should go into some kind of long lasting coma where I couldn't use my phone

Everyone uses their phone differently. So with my light usuage I still have not seen this battery life since eclair. I have 2 email accounts set to push and had some texts, emails, browsing the web and rss feeds. This went through 2 over nites so far that's also why lighter usuage but radio was on and was on wifi most of the time. Any other rom with the same usuage woulda gotten me 24 hours. Stock 1500mah battery. I still had 40% when I took these screen caps. This rom is clean gb mtd. I think its awesome. Thanks toad...... ;-)

"Android System" is really CIQ. Open it in "running services" if you don't believe me and read it's description. I don't have a "noCIQ" Rom yet, but whenever I change towers or go in and out of airplane mode or reboot, I go into running services and kill Android System service.

K0nane removed CIQ. Android system is reporting everything going through the OS. It was listed as Display on Froyo. It is meaningless either way unless it is still 90% after several hours of standby, then it is a wakelock issue.

Too bad you've hardly touched the phone in those 2 days, I can put my 3500mah in my evo charge it and then take it off and not touch it for 6 or 7 days and still have 70%+ battery left from your screen on time looks like you maybe used your phone for an hr or 2 if that the phone only discharges 10-15 mah when idle so on a 2600mah you should easily get 200 - 260 hrs standby unless you have a wakelock

That's with medium usage; heavy usage roughly around 1 day 8 hours.
Of course I wasn't using it, it was sitting awake (screen off but OS running), on the desk, with low wifi and cell signal. All facebook, twitter, voice, Gmail, Exchange sync was on, and it beeped the speaker/buzzed on every notification.
I Have NEVER gotten that good of standby life on the EVO when it was my main phone. All this was, was an observation...
Hey guys, I'm getting great gas mileage! 500/mpg. It's been sitting in the driveway for three weeks. I've only moved it in the garage when it was raining. Awesome, right?

.
jokes aside... That's pretty good battery use for situations when you're far away from a power source like hiking in the mountains.
