So i went back to 2.1 just so when the offical release comes i will know (dumb idea i liked dk28)....any way i got my contacts to sync but when i try to add account in the "more accounts" section that facebook wont do any thing my screen blinks for a second and then nothing happens...im trying to have it so where if u click the picture of someone there fb account will be linked...
sounds like a bad flash to me your best bet would to either to odin back to stock or even just try reflashing your ROM
yea i was thinking that...im new the whole flash thing i never rooted or messed with the epic...the dk28 went over really well...i should of kept it cuz im sure everyone will post when the real froyo comes out.....should i just try to reflash the file i used when doing back to DI18...i used odin...
ah your using odin ok im sorry i assumed you were rooted/running a custom build. hmm...yea that definatly has to be a bad odin flash id give it another go you COULD try a factory reset, just to see what happens, and if that doesnt work yes go ahead with the odin reflash
yea im confused...reflashed again i just wana make sure that its not me under accounts and sync if u have facebook there should be 2 acounts for your 1 profile correct?? cuz like i said if i click the persons photo on my contacts the little menu comes up to either call text email...but no facebook i use to have that feature...
nvm thanks for the help i factory reset didnt work...flashed back to dk28 and its working im just gonna deal with it until all the sites or forums start saying the official release is out..

This is something i've been pondering since i upgraded to Froyo last night and now none of my music or music player apps work lol
Also, Will it even offer me the OTA update seeing that i have Froyo now?
If you want to wait on the ota you need to go back to eclair. I updated to froyo and had to many ptoblems so im just gonna wait on the ota.
Do you know if root is required to downgrade?
no you dont need root to go basck. jusdt use odin to flash back to di18. when you do thast it will be like having as brand new phone out of the box. everything is wiped. if you dont know how to do it just nreply basck and ill help you.

Hey guys, I wrote up a post on how I went back to Eclair to fix a Froyo GPS problem, maybe there are some pointers in there to help you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9612709&postcount=50
I went from rooted stock 2.1 directly to 2.2.1 (downloaded from Google) using the stock recovery and I have ZERO issues. Maybe try again or start clean? Good luck!

The first link is odin and the second is the di18 rom
Download them both easiest is to save them to desktop
Turn your phone into download mode(hold power and the 1 key)
Open up the odin exe file
Plug your phone in and you'll see com and some numbers in the bfirst box. Make sure you do so you know your computer recognizes the phone
Find the pda section and put the rom file in there you just downloaded
Make sure that autoreboot is the only box checked off and hit star
You will see a green proogress bar and just wait
Should only take like 2 to 3 mins and itg will reboot your phoone for you
Don't unplug tillbphone is rebooted
It take a little longer for phone to reboot so don't panic let it do its thing
Any more questions just ask

I'm not rooted and I updated to DK28 but now my GPS is blown.
I'm using these 2 files in ODIN3:
victory_8G_100528.pit (came with the ODIN download)
SPH-D700-DI18-8Gb-REL.tar.md5 (got this from your link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138 )
I need to downgrade back to DI18 but when I use ODIN it gives the following error:
<OSM> MD5 Hash value is invalid
<OSM> SPH-D700-DI18-8Gb-REL.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Try that link for the rom and let me know. That one should work. Just put that one in Odin
I feel comfortable with this thanks for the instructions. I probably need to wait and charge my phone up completely for best results.

Yeah that's from the same link I got it from originally:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
So, it's the one giving me the hash error. Is it possible to go all the way back to DG27 and then OTA to DI18? I think I read that somewhere and saw that some folks were successful with that method. Anyways, thanks for your help!!
Nevermind it worked. I had two of the same files on my computer, i just deleted one. And also i didn't put in the rom files in odin until after i saw my phone.
Yeah use the one for the dg27 I'll and the phone should update for you. I'll get u a link. http://firon.net/xda/SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar
I'm sorry about the links guys I can't remember where I got the one for my phone that I use and im not home so I'm trying tondo this in the car on my phone
Okay so heres what happend i knew to get the dl30 rom leak i needed to be at least on a djo5 baseband i was on the di101 so before i followed the instructions to get my phone on the dl30 i flashed djo5 and the kernel and then proceeded to flash dl30. Now the rom works great and the only issue i found is when i text the recipient gets a blank text and i can only receive text from Verizon phones. Even though i got djo5 on my phone before i flashed dl30m my current baseband in di101 so i think i made a boo boo in the process i can make receive calls its just my text not working properly. any help any at all would be greatly appreciated.
you try a wipe yet? also dial *228 and opp 1 see if that helps
if i do a wipe will i mess up or brick the phone or undo the dl30 leak?
no way you should have done a wipe before instailling the new rom...the market is down and i thought it was the new leak so i wiped like 3 times...and im on the superclean ver. ull be fine wipe data and cash
yea i wiped three times and factory reset three times not in that order i just wanted to make sure wiping wouldn't destroy the work i just did...i will try in and let u know what happens thank u so much
okay so i wiped and still cant text right any other ideas is there a way to flash the djo5 baseband to my dl30 phone
wait what are you running now? u could always odin back to stock and start over again maybe do the dl09 one? it takes about an hour if you know whats ur doing. im not sure if you could just odin it right now while on dl30
i was running djo5 but after i flashed dl30 and wiped all that good stuff..it now shows baseband di101
seems like u never flashed ur modem via odin...or maybe u did and some how its back to dl01 whatever the case u prob have to go all the way back to stock and start over again. gotta makes sure thats dj05 or 09 before going to froyo. did u use a vodoo kernel before u flashed to 2.2
nooo i am too noob to mess with voodoo i came from a d1 the easy day where i could be flash happy i have been tip toeing with this phone
im sorry i dont have a clear answer have u used odin at all to goto dl05 09?
no i flashed it i am not to familiar with odin
It should be as simple as flashing the DJ05 or DL09 modem file through odin (sounds to me like you didn't do that or the radio didn't stick for some odd reason) make sure to use the pda slot and NOT the phone one! You can find the modem's in these topics (would've linked the modems themselves but post count isn't high enough)
DL09: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894126
DJ05: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869990
Edit: I saw you said your not familiar with odin. Grab odin from here (if you dont have it): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788099
(second link) then pull the battery and plug the usb cable into the fascinate whilst holding volume down. This'll put the phone into download mode. From there put the radio file into the PDA slot and click start. That should solve your problem
im gunna try this thank u so much
worked like a charm i love the phone now thanks so much for your help
I tried to install CWM earlier today and its gone wrong and now i get the dreaded error message
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue etc
Kies wont recover it either.
Now im hoping i can get it going again quickly
Just from skimming through here while trying to pack i gather i need to use odin to reflash the stock firmware.
I wouldnt normally ask but could some nice person spoon feed me given the circumstances of time constraints

Use Odin to flash stock firmware by following this guide, I assume that you have the i9505, if so then flash this CWM,

thanks guys weve done it!

cheers
I stuffed my phone up again and thought id post here instead of making a new thread.
flashed the latest modem which in turn has for some reason fubored all my dialling out and messages etc so i cant use the phone for anything other than browsing .....
I9505XXUBMEA_I9505OXXBMF1_XEF.zip<<<<<<<<<<<<this is what i used last time and it didnt work this time
so ive now tryed this one I9505XXUFNB8_I9505BTUFNB3_I9505XXUFNB8_HOME.tar.md5
my phone is a sim free s4.
the second one appears to work but wont get passed the lock screen with out continuous errors. (i note i now have the knox label in the bootloader)
How do i find the latest stock rom for my phone? so i can start again?
thanks
I had exact same issue so i falshed XXUFNB9 from sammobile and now im rooted runnin cm11 m9 .
Do suggest UNISTALLING samsung usb drives from pc and reinstalling fresh new ones for your device snd then flashing. I flashed 4 different firmwares. It was only until i reinstalled s4 usb drives my phone becsme alive. Dunno how but i reckon usb drives is the issue
Okay sooo.. I rooted my samsung galaxy s4 GT-I9505 awhile back and everything was going great. So I thought it would be a good idea to flash a custom ROM, which didnt go as smoothly as I hoped it would, so the phone had a soft brick which i solved by reflashing the stock ROM.
After some more time I tried to flash a new kernel to overclock, i followed the tutorial exactly but again it didnt want to work, and yet again i had to reflash the stock ROM.
This is when everything started to go wrong because i went to my moms house i downloaded the wrong stock ROM, it booted up but some things wouldnt work
e.g WiFi wouldnt turn on (it just said turning on, and never did), phone calls were buggy (after i entered the number and clicked call the screen would go black, and the notifications bar would flicker).
There may have been more but i dont know. The next day i went back to my fathers and attempted to reflash the correnct stock ROM whick caused the phone to boot up in a mode that said to connect to kies. rooting managed to get the phone to boot but it was the stock ROM that i put on at my moms house.
I then took it to repair shop because i didnt have a clue and he got the correct rom onto it but... the wifi and the calls still wouldnt work!
I dont have a clue what to do. and this is my last resort, if im missing info that you need let me know.
Thanks.
PS sorry for the poor English ^_^

I have the exact same issue. Sprint couldn't do anything about it. they actually tried to downgrade it haha.
Let's pinpoint the issue. What recovery did you initially use? did you by chance play with mf9 firmware files?

well I have been useing TWRP v2.5.0.0 odin used to work before I updated OTA to 4.3 ever after odin gives me an error while tring to flash the mf9 back on the phone. no I did not mess with the files I had to flash mf9 images using odin moble which seemed to work but ever since that my WiFi does not work. it will only work on custom kernals and FW. but both have a problem with calling and any sound. I know the cell raido works becuse TXT work just fine. I tryed reflashing the raido images but no luck. I tryed all sorts of Roms but no luck one rom called "sacs" v8.0 but that one has problems with the TXT messages even. I cleeared every partion with TWRP hopeing this was just a bad or corupt information on the device. with no luck as well

yeah I told them it wouldn't work. worst part is they tried to downgrade to mdc for some reason. maybe they just don't have mja yet.
Do this, dial ##786# and view the rtn. does your radio and baseband match?
looking in logs, it says my radio is turned off...

hum I had to use network signal app because calls do not work on my cell phone at all it forecloses the dialer every time I press the send button but it tells me my bootloader is L720VPUEMJA
Raidio/serial L720VPUEMJA / 9225b7d2
so yeah they match this is so odd.
I consider my self an advanced user I am no coder but I know my stuff but I can't understand why this is not working. the radio works because I can send and receive txt and I can use the 3g internet on it but going stock I lose my wifi and the full phone is unstable in stock even txt crashes and then all of the sudden the sound completely stopped working on any FW I install even stock and even a TWRP backup from my phone before I upgraded to 4.3 works but with the same problems no sound no wifi and calling do not work at all..... so it begs the question what is the corporate here ? is it possible the "patch" Samsung did to the radio driver or possibly the new evil boot loader some how. the phone is running CFW 4.3.1 right now
also I just ordered another s4 so this s4 that is not working right I am willing to do anything too now > I am going take everything off of it let TWRP format all the parts of the phone. is there a way to to use odin to copy everything from the mf9 image file but not the boot loader in since it can not downgraded as of yet?

Have you tried flash stock kernel?. I read somewhere to get sound back u need flash stock kernel. Not sure tho. I lost the sound too by flashing mja modem. But I'm still on mf9 bootloader so flashing mf9 modem brought sound back.
