[UPDATE] OTA 1.37.405.1 is here! - Wildfire General

Not Froyo but first a other update for Wildfire : systemupdate 1.37.405.1.
Tomorrow Froyo for Legend ! : http://www.facebook.com/htcde/posts/123526287710679 (German HTC Facebook)
After that 2.2 comes to Wildfire or maybe also tomorrow ?
From : Dutch website
This is what it says on the website :
HTC Wildfire update
Also the HTC Wildfire gets a update OTA. But it's not Foryo or a hedge to get to Froyo. It's system update 1.37.405.1 and it's 17 MB.
When whe know about the advantages of this update whe let you know.

When FroYo comes official, will some other things that not the Wildpuzzle have bee there?

Downloaded this update but when it restart the phone and start installing there was error messages:
Failed to verify whole file signature
Signature verification failed
Installation aborted
Any ideas? The phone is rooted, can it be the reason?

It says Froyo for Legend, i'm not sure though because that's what i read from Google Translate. Either way, i'm all pumped up. Hopefully, a Froyo for Wildfire tomorrow *fingers-crossed

same for me, my wildfire is also rooted...

update iso is on sd card, so go to nandroid (boot) and choose zip from sd, then it will update normal
sorry for pure english

Enter in recovery mode, disable signature check under Install zip from sdcard, by pressing toggle signature verification. Next choose zip from sdcard, go to your downloads folder and select OTA_blabla.zip.

I'm no expert but won't downloading OTA updates remove root?

Might be they are settings things up.
P.S. FU HTC, I waited for your OTA very long, and then I rooted. Wish this was 2-4 months earlier. But you have your wealthier customers to focus on, we understand!

Thanks to lazaj007 for general info and to ricardoft for detailed guide,my wildfire finaly congratulated me for updating it .

I have root phone too, i just went to recovery and flash the file from sd card, and reboot it works...sorry for english

I've downloaded update 1.37.405.1. But i can't find any difference. Has somebody found some difference?

Now let's wait on FroYo...

What I found new in this update is that it connects more faster to a wifi hotspot and that the market app has now tabs with ABOUT COMMENTS RELATED

Have not yet installed. Trying to find the ZIP on my phone.
Anyone know where the update ZIP downloads to? If we install this update will we be unable to root?
Maybe a fix for the SD card glitch?
Yea that's what most people are saying.
if it only fixes microSD card issue then you shouldn't loose ROOT..
but who's gonna try first??
DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE!
https://twitter.com/unrevoked
There's an OTA update we just got on the #EVO that breaks the root. Don't install it if you want to root.

theres gotta be another way to root afte applying the update
it is the sd card glitch fix they told us about it yesterday in our meeting
sd card glitch is rare
i've had the EVO (from I/O) and have only rarely seen this SD card glitch. if it happens i close out the camera app (kill it with a task manager) and then reopen it and it works fine. like i said, has only happened 2-3 times in the past two weeks.
if the OTA update kills root i'd rather wait otherwise if it can still be rooted with the sd card issue fixed then i'll run the ota update
i got that Update soon i turnt my phone on. soon i check for PRI updates and etc etc when you first turn the phone on it said no frimware was found. Then 5secs later a update pops up
this is off topic, but does rooting void the warranty?
Unlike the nexus one, which has some sort of hardware fuse or something when you first root, you can get the EVO back to pure stock form.
It is an update to fix the memory card issue. To read all about it go the Engadget.
I have tried to apply the OTA update because I have had numerous sdcard issues that are more annoying than not having root (for the moment). The update will not apply. It starts to apply the update and then the screen displays a red ? and then reboots. Checking the software version and it remains the 1.32.651.1 version.
Has anyone actually tried this and gotten it to work?

All OTA downloads go to your SD card in a file called Downloads by default. Look there.

Oops, hate to be bringing back a dead topic, but the update file is in fact not in /sdcard/downloads
I just had the phone download the OTA again. It must be stored elsewhere.

sorry but that's incorrect. From a person who HAS updated, my unrevoked root is working perfectly fine, as well as my awesome free wireless tether.
I was able to flash this zip (Supersonic_1.32.651.6_rooted.zip) from recovery over my existing Supersonic_1.32.651.1 ROM. I can confirm my system reports software version .6, and all is working. I am still able to sudo.. tethering and root explorer work great!

You quoted some old news. The guys behind Unrevoked has already patched their root method.
Has anyone noticed a decreased 3G connection speed after the OTA update and/or PRL update?
My first few days was consistently getting 1200kbps down and 1000kbps up in 3g. After these two updates... 800kbps down and 800 up. Seems pretty consistent and stabilized... pisses me off... thinking about taking it back and NOT updating PRL. is there a way to roll back?
I keep reading different answers and its rather confusing. Is it safe to install the OTA update 1.32.651.6 or not?

Firmware update notification!

My Transformer autorestarted and got this notification just now, can anyone confirm legitimacy?
My battery is below 15% so I cannot update yet.

Weird - the only thing I had done to mine was root with Vipermod - update installed fine, broke root, voodoo root keeper restored root without issue....
I didn't really have any of the issues that most people had - tho the screen tearing on the recent app list now appears to be gone....
I have the dlpkg if anyone wants it, i just have to transfer it to my PC. Looks like the kernel update, is only 11MB so it might upload here if I pack it in a zip..
Looking at it, there is a blob file almost certainly a new kernel, some system patches, lib patches, the updater script is tremendous.. and almost all if not all system apps get a patch too.
Nope, even though it is 11.54MB, and the forum claims that 11.81MB is the max, it won't let me upload it..I guess if you want it PM your email I can send it over..
Scratch my previous - the screen tearing issue on the recent apps list still exists past six or seven recent apps...
Got the notification too.I m rooted though so i wont proceed with the update procedure unless someones makes a flashable zip!
Reported for dubble posting. Use searching next time please.
I got mine around 10 am. But what I was doing when I got it was a wipe. After the wipe was when it told me I had an update. So far seems pretty good. Of course that's been said many times only to have to eat them. Time will tell.

Nice, please download the update and pull the .zip before rebooting to install it:
Code:
adb pull /cache/dlpkgfile.zip
then you can delete it:
Code:
adb shell rm /cache/dlpkgfile.zip

No work for me.
I am using ICS - Rooted
Downloaded the Updated (through OTA) and then it prompts to reboot and install and..Fails.
It is prolly because I Modified the system (Removed bloat and changed a few things. Lol.
I may re install it as stock rooted and try again.
I have no Issues, so I may not. Hmmmm

Yes, the updater script does a fair bit of assessing of your system..including all your bloatware that I can tell..because all of that is patched.

So what can i do to make it update-able again?

The first thing I would do is to remove the external sdcard and copy all files
and folders from the /sdcard (internal sdcard) directory to your computer.
Then go into the settings in the phone: settings>accounts> and click on "Factory data reset"
Read the screen before doing anything else.
Then if you want to reset the phone select and click "reset device" on the bottom of the screen.
After doing that see if the software update option is available. ( it should be)
Good luck!

I'll make a flashable ZIP
I'm working on a root-flashable ZIP for the Lollipop update but I need error logs when the soak test OTA is flashed. If someone can upload the error they see on their screen, it'd make my job easier. I'd have done this long ago but as I always say, I'm stuck in a boarding school and I don't have my phone.
P.S.: Try giving me CWM/TWRP error logs with a stock ROM, not CM11.

Does it work on a brazilian Moto E?
Worked fine.. no issues at all. This update will update your moto e to Android lollipop 5.0.2.
Steps :
Download the mirrored file from here
http://www.4shared.com/zip/LvKFauYVce/Blur_Version222132condor_retai.html
1) Place the download zip file 342 mb in sd card.
2) Update Motorola update service / Contextual service
3) Go to setting and check for update.
4) After confirmation.. select.. "Yes, I'm in" [chk screenshot]
5) Once the above process is completed.. u will get option to Install now / later [chk screenshot]
And than your phone will be rebooted.
And finally u will have Lollipop running on ur Moto E [chk screenshot]
Note :
I have tested on Indian model. Not sure if it will work on others too. Try it at ur own risk.
This update doesn't delete any user data
Update might take long time.. whole process may take upto 1 hour.
Just to be on safer side.. make sure u have 500 MB free space on ur internal storage
Initial boot takes time.. so be patient .

I find it quite funny on how Motorola is abandoning the unregistered users and not allowing them to use the Lollipop update as if we have no right and we are committing some sort of crime, lol. We also paid a sum of 7,000INR for the device and it's our wish if we wanna update, we will be responsible for our decision, I don't why Motorola is abandoning us haha.
