I transfered the file to the phone, named it update, ran recovery mode yet I keep getting a strange error (Error 7 I believe). Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance! P.S I am new to this community

Hello everyone, my first post here.
I do realise that there is info around for reverting from 3.2 OTA.
However, none of the tutorials and related messages in each thread has helped me downgrade my 3.2 being a new member, i am also restricted from posting in the development thread
So can someone please help me, and please moderate this thread if it is in the wrong place etc etc. Im desperate T_T
So, following this tutorial to downgrade:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276227
Using method 1:
I keep getting that no Iconia Tab is detected :S
I had run this as an admin, rebooted my pc, tried it on my sister's pc (both running win 7), installing official acer usb drivers to no avail.
Using method 2:
The update starts and the loading bar appears. The downgrade appears to run, probably up to 10%???, then the android with a yellow exclamation comes up T_T
I have tried a factory reset, but neither method 1 nor 2 will work.
My Tab is still working so I am still very grateful. Can anyone with ideas on how to get this downgrade working please advise. All help will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Moderator please delete this thread. I have managed to fix the issue:
Factory reset, then i dl'd the package from method 2 again, and ran again. now working flawlessly =]
Sorry to have been a nuisance
I am still learning android and I am not a developer. I figured out how to create a system dump for the avail. Maybe if I post this on xda we can get some help for creating some ROMs or at least a stock ROM. If anyone would like to contribute anything please let me know in this thread or a pm. Since there is no thread for this device becasue it is a perpaid phone I thought I might get some help in this section. Here is what we have so far.

(mounts and partitions do not work but everything else should be fine)
We have everything, but ROMs. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and God Bless.
I was following a guide to root avail using adb, the first three command worked fine but when I put in the *983*7668# it give me an error on the phone saying invalid code. Do you have any ideas?

Hello peoples! I humbly request help. I know that this thread is not for a measly LG Vortex but it is the closest. I have a friend whom i have warned several times not to root his phone until he becomes more familiar with the system, he deleted his package installer then factory restored his phone. He rooted again but installing and updating anything is out of the question. I have never dealt with this sort of problem as i have a galaxy s i500 showcase. i screw something up i can just odin a entire recovery. I guess what i am asking is that someone send me a "package installer".apk and the instructions on how to push the install via adb. He is running 2.2.2
P.S. pulled this from adb developers site. adb install <path_to_apk> no way its that simple is it???

Sorry this section is only for Optimus 7 - Windows Phone devices. Try asking in Android sub-forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=564
So I was using a custom rom - SmoothRom (I'm kind of a newbie to this whole thing) and it was getting really unstable. So I wanted to unroot and restore my tablet. So I clicked it all and it and it seemed to work well and now when I power on it says 'bootup failed'. I cant post on the developers page and it directed me to post here. I sincerely hope one of you guys can help me out here. I'll miss my N7 if I cant.
edit: the bootloader wasnt working (whatever that means) so I just had to force flash it and it ended up working. Much more trouble than it was worth...
mod- delete this thread if possible
