I have seen callender appointments added to the lock screen on an iphone 4. Can this be done on the DHD or only on 7 home screens?
You need to override the lock screen with one like Widget Locker

Is there a way to make some widgets display on every home screen? Like the search bar? I don't want my clock widget to scroll with the other widgets and apps. I want it to stay in place like the search bar.

Use lightning launcher and you can pin anything down so it stays on screen.

I second this.
I had the HTC One for a little over a week before i went S4 and I loved that the HTC One had this feature.
So today I was messing with go locker pro and some settings and I was able to set a pattern using go locker pro, then used the swipe from the stock lock screen to have multiple widgets with the swipe effect and when i unlocked I would have to draw a pattern which was a part of go locker pro. Sadly go locker is laggy and when i reboot I have to set the settings over again because swipe gets taken off. Can anyone use this as a lead to figure out how to keep this set up permanently?
is wondering is there any way to disable the swipe down to unlock the lockscreen widgets ..
with alot of widgets and hd widgets as well on the lock screen when you sipe down you get alot more detail and info , wondering if theres a way to have it like this without having to swipe the widget down to "unlock" them ?
Is there a way of having a custom widget AND having a screenlock? I can select widget but that means I will have to have no security on my phone.
