I'm all over it as we speak...

****, ****, common guys

The Nexus one is in 4th place now
Desire HD
Desire
Evo
Nexus

woooooooooo!

5th place now with the Leo competing...

Leo now leading by 6%!
Nexus is 5th
Weird that they allowed the HTC Leo into the 2010 line-up since it was released in 2009, and won the 2009 poll too.

Somebody's cheating :/ leo was at around 150 votes yesterday and now 850... FISHEE...

I love my N1, but I still voted for the Evo simply because Google failed to accomplish what they set out to do with the Nexus, while the Evo was a huge success.

just voted N1

Why the hell is the Windows Mobile 6.5 Leo/HD2 winning by 600 votes? WTF!? That phone was released in 2009 and runs a dinosaur OS.

I definitely voted for the one, the only, the iconic, classic Nexus ONE!! I don't understand how the Leo got included in the poll either.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

The Leo should not be there! Get out the vote Nexus owners.

I've never even heard of the Leo. WTF?

The leo is the HD2 lol

I've just voted... for the HTC Desire. I just think it's the best all round phone HTC has produced. Relatively inexpensive - for a long time, cheaper than the N1 by quite a margin in the UK. I much prefer the hardware buttons on it and would rather have those than the flashing trackball; personally the soft buttons of the nexus one are one of the worst things about it - unresponsive and frustrating. Also, plain vanilla android is not for me - out of the box, it looks bland, and has a very beta feel about it, IMO the Sense UI on the Desire really gives that phone a kick up the arse and is the best front end on any phone outside the iphone IMO (quite possibly better in many ways). OK, I know you can get apps which replace the built in ones and flash themes and ROMs which change the appearance, but many seem to add their own foibles and bugs, and I end up going back to stock.
I've never had the pleasure of the likes of the Evo... we do have the Desire HD over here, but the screen is a bit of a disappointment IMO - big yes, but slightly washed out looking and the battery life is appalling.
For me, the Desire hit a sweet spot - powerful, a pleasure to use, and relatively affordable, and still doesn't look too shabby now thats its almost a year old. Of course, neither does the N1, but for me, the hardware buttons and better UI push it out into the lead. Horses for courses, of course.

just the fact that you can load Android on it - and how the specs compare to the Evo.

bump. Vote if you have not already.
Nexus is still 5th

should i keep it?

I feel like a sap. I signed a 2 year contract and bought a Fender MyTouch. I have been wanting to replace my blackberry Pearl flip with a decent phone and I thought I could settle for the mytouch with boosted ram but I just feel like I spent money on an out of date device.
don't get me wrong. I like it. and I love android like I knew i would. and this device is leaps and bounds better than what I thought of touch screen devices before android phones came out. but is it worth keeping?
I was bothered by the fact that I learned I could have gotten a Nexus One for the same price. and that tmobile wouldn't refund my phone. so I looked up how this phone resold. surprisingly well! so I put it on Craig's list for 350 and to my second surprise I found a buyer.
now being the packrat I am. I am having second thoughts. I hate to let it go being stuck with tmobile contact prices. and I hate the idea of going back to my Pearl Flip.
the device I really want and have wanted since before it released in the US is the TP2. it has been out of my price range but with 350 I'm trying to score one on ebay in that budget. not so easy.
should I sell the phone, switch back to the crapberry, hope to score a cheap Rhodium, and have little money to pay bills?
or should I stick to my investment, be strapped for cash till for a bit, and learn to love the phone i have?
do you think rooting the phone flashing some roms, the new android upgrade supposedly coming for it, or time will make me love it?
or should I have listened to every review that says even with the memory boost and gimmick it's still a mediocre device and should now take the offer and try for something better?
I spent about 200 on it and getting 350 still puts me out about 90-110$ due to high contract prices but gives me a chance to get a TP2.
this is an lame first post but let me know your thoughts.
sell it and get a nexus one. then, in 5 months, kick yourself and buy the NEXT badass htc phone.
look how much faster they are already.
awesome.
postscript
i'm buying a mytouch tonight, for much less than the list. we'll see if i like it. if not, it's resale on craigslist - quick, and buying a nexus.
i think i'll like it though.
My $0.02
Sell it. So many great phones that will come out this year.
HTC HD2 is coming out in March 24th on T-Mobile, but the Windows Mobile OS might not be your forte.
Also, there's the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
The rumored Nexus Two (aka Motorola Shadow) might have hardware keyboard.
Rumors of HTC Scorpion 1.5Ghz processor at the end of the year.

Sold it. Cant afford a Nexus One still but i am getting a used Rhodium.
Want an Leo but it will be awhile before i can afford it. That motorola shadow looks gey. The scorpion looks awesome and sexy but i think the Leo is sexier.
Seriously if HTC put a slideout rhodium keyboard and a few of other bells and whistles on a Leo and called it a Touch pro 3 i'd sell my kidney for it right now.

HTC's most popular Android phone in the world is HERO

HTC HERO trails in 2nd place to Motorola Droid in this AdMob metrics taken in May 2010 from 12.7 million Android phones in the AdMob network.
Wouldn't you want to keep your most popular phone up-to-date HTC and Sprint???

I don't see the Evo on that. Outdated chart is outdated.
They should count the eris with the hero

Your not counting the HTC Hero GSM version.

Yeah this is total bs! But thank god we have our devs.... Where there is a will there will continue to be a way (for us Hero users to have the latest and greatest)!
i would love my hero more if i could get the audio to quit dropping on me........
does anyone know how i can fix it?
i luv my hero =)

It's even more outdated then I though.
Point is, you can't say "your most popular phone," and then show an outdated chart, when they just released the Evo. The Evo is probably at or higher then the Heros level now.
Smart ass they won't have statistics until next month and the evo will most likely be up high on the chart. But just the fact that thehero is up this high really makes me wonder why HTC doesn't see a need to keep it updated.
After doing some looking around the list provided is the most current that is available regardless of the new phones that have been released. Kinda sad when this guy was trying to prove a point about HTC's and Sprints continuing support for one of its most formidable android devices and all anyone can do is knock him for it being an out dated list. Come on guys, if you are still using your Hero and plan to do so then cut him a break and agree to disagree. No matter how current the list is its not years old and it goes to show that us honored Hero users we are getting the middle finger from the big dogs and thats not cool. Wanna know why the droid surpassed the Hero? Cuz all of those god damn iphone loving ass bags that couldnt get it on VZW finally had something worth a damn. Plus not to mention all of the Apple cultist haters (myself included) that wanted badly to knock that damn swastika of an unholy iphone off its pedi stool.
The hero WAS the most popular phone until the evo came out and stole all of the thunder.

Well, until there are some statistics to prove it, as it currently stands, Hero is the most popular and most used phones HTC has out on any carer, anywhere and I also believe any OS.
I'm sure the EVO is going to be at the top next month but I wouldn't place my bets just yet. Don't forget that EVO is sprint only and hero has the GSM brother.
So once more... way to go HTC for not keeping your most popular phone up-to-date.

If the Evo and the Nexus mated!

BGR has published a picture of an upcoming HTC device destined for verizon. From the leaked specs it sounds like a real high end device. Anyone have more speculation on this device? Could be the first real device that tempts me away from my nexus. So far all the latest devices have not sold me on build quality, looks, and feel. This thing looks like the nexus taken to the next level!
Of course this is BGR so it is put up next to an iphail.

What the hell is that nasty ass iphone doing next to that beautiful device?
GRRRRR, I hate BGR so much.
Anyway, looks like an Evo for Verizon, nothing more.
All these devices are looking good, but personally I won't be upgrading until the next line of processors come out (1.5 GHz etc). No reason to switch to another phone if it has the same amount of power. That'd be a sidegrade.

that's the same sentiment that i feel, with the unknown time frame of Verizon's android releases, who's to say this thing wont be coming with the latest and greatest processor? In all reality it probably is just the Verizon version of the Evo, it sure looks a lot nicer than its sprint branded potential relative.
In any case, its the first new handset i have seen that actually physically looks on par or better than the nexus.

htc glacier is on my wishlist, what with a possible dual core, hellz yeah
What happened to the HTC Ace or Desire HD, a GSM Evo.
Unless its revolutionary in terms of processor,GPU etc, then im not too hopeful on leaving my N1.
Damn good looking, though. More of a comparison of a Desire and Evo mating IMO.

HTC HD7 or Schubert has been previously known as HD3 and whatnot and it looks exactly how we saw it on the live shots three weeks ago. The device has a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen and packs 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 576MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording, all-round connectivity and 8GB internal storage. The T-Mobile version of HD7 is expected to double the on-board memory to 16GB.
Looks like the T-mobile USA version will be blessed with 16GB storage vs 8GB for the euorpean one
I can hardly wait. This year alone I have replaced my HD2 with the vibrant now soon it will be replaced by the HD7

In my opinion, the HD2 looks significantly better then this!!

Agreed! I don't like the silver on the back, the HD2s dark colours look much more elegant.
not being biased, i also think that hd2 looks sexier than that.
also, what is up with all these brand logos?

Yeah it does ruin the look of the phone, it isn't like windows mobile is growing in the market to boost the name at the back of the phone, just saying.
Specs sound like the HD2... But I like the camera not protruding on the HD7 like it is on the HD2. Also looks like there is a kickstand which is good, otherwise like I said specs sound the same so with the confidence that the HD2 will be running wp7 at some point, no need to upgrade. If anything I could go for a G2 right about now.
Not interested
It's nice, but it's matched by the HD2 in every area it seems, and the branding looks very Primary School...
I want it just because its named Schubert.......
Not keen on all the spare parts from robocop around the camera though.........
maybe Ill just wait for the HTC Strauss........

Sounds great, can't wait. I wonder if there will be shy improvements to camera sensors and the color tinting issues

I sure hope they don't forget about the One after the KitKat update and bring Sense 6 over. HTC has been doing better than expected lately with the updates. This sort of attention is what will keep returning customers.

If they give back our lockscreen custom wallpaper that would be nice
