BGR has published a picture of an upcoming HTC device destined for verizon. From the leaked specs it sounds like a real high end device. Anyone have more speculation on this device? Could be the first real device that tempts me away from my nexus. So far all the latest devices have not sold me on build quality, looks, and feel. This thing looks like the nexus taken to the next level!
Of course this is BGR so it is put up next to an iphail.

What the hell is that nasty ass iphone doing next to that beautiful device?
GRRRRR, I hate BGR so much.
Anyway, looks like an Evo for Verizon, nothing more.
All these devices are looking good, but personally I won't be upgrading until the next line of processors come out (1.5 GHz etc). No reason to switch to another phone if it has the same amount of power. That'd be a sidegrade.

that's the same sentiment that i feel, with the unknown time frame of Verizon's android releases, who's to say this thing wont be coming with the latest and greatest processor? In all reality it probably is just the Verizon version of the Evo, it sure looks a lot nicer than its sprint branded potential relative.
In any case, its the first new handset i have seen that actually physically looks on par or better than the nexus.

htc glacier is on my wishlist, what with a possible dual core, hellz yeah
What happened to the HTC Ace or Desire HD, a GSM Evo.
Unless its revolutionary in terms of processor,GPU etc, then im not too hopeful on leaving my N1.
Damn good looking, though. More of a comparison of a Desire and Evo mating IMO.

Thinking of giving my hero to the wife what phone should I get next?
Money is not an issue.
Looking at Dell streak, galaxy S and Desire.
Have thought Abt going to the darkside but like
Open source of android
If money is not an issue, then go for the iphone 4, I meet yesterday a mate that works apple, he has one, and I was using it last night, the pictures taken with are great, and no signal problems at all, we where inside in a pub, I tested the phone for 30 minutes, doing everything with it, multitasking etc, no probs at all. Once my contrat is finished, I will get one myself.
Another Hero
Or maybe a Desire but not an Iphone because the OS isn't as modifiable than Android..
I'll wait for nexus two...
or some new device with 2MHz processor and gingerbread!
I leave iphone 4 to conformist people
I am leaning toward the galaxy as I want a bigger screen
The streak might be a step too far
Ip4 looks nice but not fussed about the OS and I don't like censorship
NOT iPhone 4!
iPhone 4 is one peace of big ****. It can't even keep its connection to mobile network.!? wtf! lol
Dell streak is a really good phone but I personally would love to have a HTC Evo 4G...
And plus it is ready for Gingerbread...
Dell sounds like a good option. I personally won't buy a HTC next time and won't recommend HTC to anyone since what happened to my phone after their recent firmware update. It took so long to roll out and then almost bricked my phone making me to switch back to the old version of firmware. No decent phone manufacturer will send out an update that fails so bad without any support.
the best advice I can give to go a place where you can try these devices, and than make a decision.
I'm sure I will buy a Desire after the Hero. I tried and I love it, big screen, fast, has 2.2 soon and very responsive : )

HTC HD7 or Schubert has been previously known as HD3 and whatnot and it looks exactly how we saw it on the live shots three weeks ago. The device has a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen and packs 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 576MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording, all-round connectivity and 8GB internal storage. The T-Mobile version of HD7 is expected to double the on-board memory to 16GB.
Looks like the T-mobile USA version will be blessed with 16GB storage vs 8GB for the euorpean one
I can hardly wait. This year alone I have replaced my HD2 with the vibrant now soon it will be replaced by the HD7

In my opinion, the HD2 looks significantly better then this!!
What's so incredible about it ? It's still the same case basically ..

Agreed! I don't like the silver on the back, the HD2s dark colours look much more elegant.
not being biased, i also think that hd2 looks sexier than that.
also, what is up with all these brand logos?

Yeah it does ruin the look of the phone, it isn't like windows mobile is growing in the market to boost the name at the back of the phone, just saying.
Specs sound like the HD2... But I like the camera not protruding on the HD7 like it is on the HD2. Also looks like there is a kickstand which is good, otherwise like I said specs sound the same so with the confidence that the HD2 will be running wp7 at some point, no need to upgrade. If anything I could go for a G2 right about now.
Not interested
It's nice, but it's matched by the HD2 in every area it seems, and the branding looks very Primary School...
I want it just because its named Schubert.......
Not keen on all the spare parts from robocop around the camera though.........
maybe Ill just wait for the HTC Strauss........

Wow
im in love,,, i WANT IT, I NEED IT!!!
*****, MONEY, NEXUS S
is gonna be my life style now..
Wow. All I can say. I hope this is good...
Front facing camera, nice
I hope there are some capacitative buttons at the bottom, love those on my N1.
Hmmmm....Back cover seems to be plastic like the Galaxy S. So build quality is **** compared to the N1/Desire. Hope it has a few surprises to make up for that.
hmm, looks cheap vs. N1, too glossy and plastic imo
Nexus One looks better.
Spec wise this is better though.
Finally something we can wait for My next phone for sure
Looks cheap n nasty
too much plastic

Most likely Vibrant with Gingerbread and flash?
I will NOT be getting this. I am absolutely disappointed that the next nexus is a effin samsung. I just hope htc will release another true nexus in the future. Until then ill stick with the n1 which looks better than that POS
I'm in the market for a new phone (n1 has a broken screen)... this is tempting for sure. Waiting to hear more about specs and if we are going to see one on AT&T bands..
Am I right in thinking that the Tmobile US bands are the same as a majoritory of the UK bands?
HTC probably said : lol we're not dealing with more unlocked bootloader replacements.
Superamoled + better multitouch isnt enough for me to give up my N1. Solid build and design trump both of those features for me.
I know the specs for the HTC Kingdom arent as good as the Evo 3d, particularly processor speed, but aesthetically, I'm not really sold on the Evo 3d. The two cameras on the back bother me a bit. In the meantime, my Evo 4g is still running strong so Im not hard pressed for a phone. Im going to wait for the Kingdom to release, or at least detailed images, before I make a decision. Anyone else interested in the Kingdom?

The reviews I have read so far on 3D are sketchy. I hear battery life is bad (no surprise there), 3D is cool, but hard to view, and Sense 3.0 is nothing more than more makeup. No extra functionality. And apparently the screen gets washed out in moderate to bright light.
Pluses include really fast speed, and Sprint didn't weigh it down with a ton of bloatware.
This is just from the few reviews I read.

Depending on what review you read they are all over the place. But in general most of them give kudos on battery, speed (better than the sensation cause of the extra RAM), solid camera and again SUPER FAST!!! Even call quality has been listed as good in most.
Nothing else I need to hear. 3D all day long.
...And you are asking this question in the Evo 4g forum, why?...
the device will ship with Intel's new mobile Medfield chip. The Atom-based system-on-a-chip could be Intel's best mobile component yet, and the chipmaker has its sights set on ARM. Reviews site Anandtech last month showed off benchmarks, detailing how Medfield performs far better in browser performance and speed--among other metrics--than those chips found in Apple's iPhone 4S, the Motorola Droid Razr, and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Eh, I probably won't be getting another Motorola if I end up going Android again. Their support for their phones is awful.

Don't expect much support from them neither...comming from the Samsung Vibrant.
Honestly, if you think about it, they're all ****. Might as well go back to this

Too bad the current dual-core designs exceed the Medfield platform on virtually every bench out there.... Medfield is extremely under-whelming TBH.... SGS3 will blow this out of the freaking water hands down.

I hope the Samsung SG3 works better as a phone then the Captivate, the Atrix by far as been a much better experience than the Captivate, the gps never worked properly and was not functional at all for months the phone as was just average in quality the HTC phones I have had worked rather well for both GPS and call quality. I may try HTC again, maybe the Samsung but I wont be an early adopter.
