Does anyone know how to change fonts on the fascinate? It is not the same as the captivate which can be done through display settings...

theres a thread somewhere on these forums of a way using GSCRIPT but i cant post a link since im still a new member. its in the i9000 android development section
So when I install "Super Clean ROM" by JT, my phone does not vibrate when I get a text message, only when I get calls. Any ideas what causes this and how I can fix this?
I don't have an idea to fix your problem, but I do have an idea of where you should have posted this.
General section.
well The rom was developed by JT so i figured this was the right section for it, i can never tell.
The super clean rom installs a replacement for the mms/text program. By default the vibrate setting is not turned on in its notification settings.

Ask the question in JT's thread maybe? I'm not trying to be a smartass here. If you start a thread with a question, then according to the rules, it does not belong in the development forum. If you have a specific question about a ROM, why not put it in a thread that you know the dev will read?

No, this is strictly for the Fascinate, I don't really know the specifics but the mesmerize is different, I think theres a separate forum for that phone.
Great job Bawb3. I wish there was also something like this for stock app preferred replacements/alternatives all grouped together. For example, Dolphin instead of the default browser, debinged browser, replacement SMS clients, and 'must-have' apps for post rooting. Something like that, maybe to go hand in hand with this guide, to get newbies started. I would do it myself but I'm still a newbie. Wishful thinking, but mainly I just wanted to say thanks!

Maybe thats something I could put together in the future, for now I'm just trying to help the new people, and maybe reduce the clutter of simple question threads that this guide could help weed out.

Yeah, kinda why I tried to put everything together in one guide. It's hard to cover everything, but theres plenty of other guides for different things floating around.

Thank you SO much! I think this has been one of THE BEST guides I have seen thus far.. It explains pretty much EVERY in great common language. Now if only I can get past my current roadblock so I can actually continue through all of these steps :/ but when I do, I'm coming back to this thread for reference!

All Verizon Fascinates are the same. It's the software versions that are different. It was originally... something, then was updated to DI01 in the fall, then was going to be updated to DJ05 but wasn't. DJ05 got leaked, and most of the custom ROM stuff we have is based on that. This was a big improvement for headphones, GPS, etc.
Verizon recently released a slightly changed version of DJ05 called DL09. It's not actually better though.

Please read the sticky, don't ruin your 500 dollar phone because you didn't feel like reading.. You most likely have a radio(modem) mix up, or rom and kernel mix up..
There are many many threads that discuss your problem... In this forum.... In the same section...just read.

and sorry guys about a couple misspelled things, i cant go back and edit it either
I use sweet honey, previously I was all about team whiskey's bionix, and have also tried axura, and a few lesser known creations by other devs.
As of right now my favorite is simply honey, it's very stable, little to no bugs at all, and in my opinion it's the rom that strays the furthest away from the stock theme. I'm not saying that the other roms are bad, bionix is very stable, it's just personal preference, and I like the sweet honey theme.
