Having some issues with charging on my Vibrant. Running Axura 2.0.5 and JK6 modem. The past day or so, battery has been draining in a few hours. When charging I only get about 5% in about an hour and sometimes the percentage drops a little while still on the charger. Charging via USB cable from PC. Tried different PC's and cables. Never had this problem before.
I am on Axura as well and have some odd battery issues. Drains to 80% in the first 30 minutes and is real slow to charge. I've done the recalibration and now I'm able to get it to 100%: someone suggested using the voltage app and slowing down the processor to 1000 from 1200.

So my battery life with liberty is nothing compared to what it was with apex 4 minutes off the charger and it's down to 90%... the speed of liberty wants me to stick with it... is the only solution to sbf? What would contribute to this problem?

not sure i have been off charger with very heavy usage for 15 hours and am at 50%
When you charge your Phone it charges to 100% then Stops. It is not a drip charger. After it charges to 100% it stops and waits till it gets to 90% then charges back to 100%. You could try Bump Charging but this will happen on every phone Motorola makes. Reguardless of ROM.
Try fully charging the phone then booting into recovery and resetting your battery stats. I've been getting great battery life with Liberty.

Yeah I flashed the maderstock .340 file and then reinstalled liberty... I'm at 70% after ~6 hours of just basic usage (calling and texting) definitely better than the first time.. ill wipe battery stats next time I charge my phone

OK guys,
I let the battery on my phone purposely drain completely until the phone shut off on its own. The battery status was at 3% before I let it drain, then I would imagine it went to obviously 0%. So, I took the battery out for about five minutes to cool off, I put everything back, and plugged the phone to a USB port to charge. To my surprise the battery level displayed at 67%. I think something is not correct here. Charging the phone with a micro usb cable from 0% to 67% in a few seconds is not possible. What is that, supersonic charge?
Can someone please explain what is going on here? Could it be the ROM? Is someone having the same issues?
Thanks,
Jose

The battery may not be calibrated correctly. You can download the Battery Calibration app off the market for free. Charge your phone to 100%, open the app, click the calibrate button, then unplug from the charger. After that let your battery drain completely until your phone shuts off then charge without a break back up to 100%, and you're battery should be accurate.

I'll check that. Thanks for the info.
Mine does that all the time, no matter how many times i've calibrated the battery.
Agreed. I have calibrated my battery several times and when I hook my Vibrant to charge, after a few minutes it reads 65% or something of the sort when it was at 10% earlier
Hey people.
So I have an issue with my battery on my N4. I left it to charge over night in the wall charger and when I woke up my phone was stuck at 66% charge. I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in. First it's showing that it's charging via the AC but changes to USB after a few seconds. I rebooted my phone twice which fixed that problem. However, charging is very slow now (so slow that the battery drains faster than it charges) and when my phone is not charging the voltage keeps jumping up and down.
i.e: at 53% charge the voltage is at 3734mV but jumps to 38xx mV all of a sudden and then jumps back down again (not the first voltage but to a different one again such as 3778mV). Is this behavior normal? I don't think so.
So should I be worried or what can I do to fix this? Maybe fully discharge my phone? But I'm worried that this'll affect my batteries life in the long term.
I've had this phone for around a month now and I'm fairly scared that somethings wrong with my baby.

Last week I've installed a new usb port for my S4, because the old one broke. I know you will most likely think I've connected it poorly or whatever, but I don't think so, because I've had the slow charging issue before that.
I've got a couple of chargers. A Xiaomi 10.400 mAh charger, the original samsung AC charger, my nexus 7 charger, a Chromecast charger and a generic one from some store. The Xiaomi charger used to charge my phone quite fast. While playing Clash of Clans, on middle-high brightness I would still get about 1% every 2 minutes or so. Same with the nexus 7 one.
Right now however, it's struggling to get charged. It seems like the battery is draining faster than it's charging. But I've recently rooted my phone and installed the 5.0 GPE version rom, and my battery life has never been better. Recently got to 12h with about 2-3h SOT and still 60% left, which made me really happy. But if I charge it and use it, I only get about 1% every 10-15 minutes. Which kinda sucks.. (Right now, my s4 is on 87% and according to the lockscreen prediction thingy, it takes 1h06min to get to 100, while not using the phone)
Has anyone seen this problem before or knows how to fix it?
Do you charge it at your PC/Laptop?
My phone also charged very slowly when connected to the PC.. This was on original firmware.
Now I'm using GPE ROM but I haven't charged it at a PC yet.
There are some options in the Googy Max settings regarding charging.
What if it's the battery?

Nope, I charge it using a wallplug.
I must say it seems like my Xiaomi battery is charging my phone faster today. This afternoon it did about 30% an hour or something.
Edit: What it seems to be doing is charge fast at lower % battery, and charge slow on higher %. Is this a setting of something, perhaps?

I have an app called battery doctor which has 3 charging stages. From X% to 80% theres a fast charge, then from 80% to 100% it (supposedly) reduces the current to ensure a full charge (basically it charges slower from 80 to 100%). I don't know what difference there is in charging time in those 2 stages. But you say it happens on different roms so either you have recently installed an app like battery doctor or it's something else.
Have you tried charging the phone while it's turned off to see if it charges faster or same as before?

The only apps with root acces I have are system tuner, titanium backup and adaway. I uninstalled System Tuner, will see if that helps. And the only other thing that could do it is Googy-Max Stweaks.
I just turned the setting Charge Control Switch from disabled to Substitute AC to USB and got 7 % in 14 min. I feel it's quite a bit faster now. Gonna check it out while having Clash of Clans running. If it's still charging at 1% every 5 minutes, ill be happy
Just tested it for a bit, and went from 45 to 60% in 22 minutes. So I'm happy again
Help guys, my battery drains so fast. It charges so fast also drains so fast like 1 hour and 35 mins of usage and its dead. Then when I charge again it instantly goes 40%+ again even though my battery just went 0%. I tried many roms, kernels and chargers. No hope
I have same issue it even sometimes charges very slow and when its on charger and I'm using my phone battery drains.
Is this a problem with battery or my phone?
* I use stock charger and OTG

I have a used Note 3, one year within my posession (I'm thinking this here's 1.5 years old.) I think it's a problem within the BATTERY itself. Fortunately, spares are fairly easy to find and for cheap. I tried another battery and it gave me 3+ hours screen on time consistently no matter the usage when the original battery could barely eke out 2.
