EXCHANGE SERVER PROBLEM

Hi,
i have a verry annoying problem, and i am upset becuse our IT team cant solve it for a while, and they do not have any idea what to do. So. We have exchange server for emails, and it is possible to reach the outlook via web using https protocol. It is working with my PC from home, with my laptop from anywhere, with any PDA using Windows Mobile 2003 but it is not working with my QTEK and with my friends other PDA boot have WM 5 on that. The sympthomes: when i run IE with the neccesary adress https://sever name/exchange , first i hve to give my name and passw. Okay. It works. The outlook appears, and i see the headers of my messages. BUT! when i click one of the messages it asks the password again and again and again(3-4 times) and does not accept it and at the end i see : "Acces denied" on the right side(where the email should be).And the same happens everytime. We tried to use VPN connection too, but the same results. Nobody knows what should they do to solve it.
Many thanks for any help.
Try https://sever_name/oma instead
OMA? Why not EAS?
Is there any reason you arent using Exchange Activesync on your phone?
The Active Sync is not good in that case, because many times i need my old messages too(for example a year old ones) and i cant store all of my sent/received emails for 2 years on my PDA, with the attachments.
But i cant belive that it is only me, who suffers from that. Or for everybody els, the exchang outlook via web works perfectly?

FIXED: ActiveSync Trouble - won't connect

Today my ActiveSync connection stopped working.
It tries to connect for a while then it comes up with "ActiveSync cannot connect to the Windows Mobile powered device. ..."
WM5torage works, so does pinging the Wizard.
Things I tried:
-Using the repair option from Active Sync setup
-Reverting the Wizard to a 3 day old backup made with SPB
Nothing worked :-(
What else (other than a hard reset) could I try?
See below for solution. And don't touch the notification queue if you don't know what you're doing
check if you firewall is blocking the activesync connection
if this is not the case ... good luck
try reinstalling activesync..
or get the latest one..
Install this cab application and select serial instead of RNDIS, just tap at YES button, and activesync will work perfect
Activesync gone mad
I am having the same problem with activesync not actually syncing my contacts and calender despite making all the noises I usually associate with a successful sync. My contacts are not updated and my calender has none of the appointments from outlook uploaded to it.
I have done a soft reset. a hard reset, gone back to activesync 4.2 and nothing works. I have also tried the usb switch that is mentioned elsewhere and no joy. I have other ppc's running PPC2003 and these are fine and update almost immediately, its only my xda mini s that is being a sod. I never had a problem before activesync 4 and several other machines before the mini s. I should also mention that my outlook files are fine and work on all other machines.
It is bad business that the world is becoming dependant on such bad software as this. It is not progress to make things worse and Mr Gates should be held to task for the problems caused from forcing us onto unreliable software in the name of progress. I was happy enough on activesync 3.8 and WM2003 and never had problems.
Please, Please someone give me an answer before hammer and xda meet in heated discussion.
I have the same problem with my MDA and both my PC and Laptop. I have been trying to resolve this problem for months. It is unbelievable that it is so hard to resolve this issue. I have been posting on this forum and on others and still am looking for a resolution. Maybe someday, someone will resolve this issue. Thanks for your postings and help in trying to resolve this issue. Frustrated beyond belief.
Sorry, this did not work either: Install this cab application and select serial instead of RNDIS, just tap at YES button, and activesync will work perfect
Update to previous
Just an update. I have tried this on another machine using the pst file from my machine and it syncs fine. Clearly, there is some problem on my machine with my software.
I have also removed outlook and reinstalled it. Also removed all profiles on main machine. At present, my calendar will sync but my contacts will not. Outlook tests say there is nothing wrong. Short of a complete software install I can not see another way to cure this other than the big hammer.
Go figure.
p.s.
If I had a hammer and Mr Gates was in front of me I would not be held responsible for my actions.
I found a corporate firewall that was preventing sync, I have to shut down the service and then it worked. Strangly, it would sync over bluetooth without stopping the service. A bit OT, but I can't seem to browse while synced. It asks for proxy info which I type in but it says bad user name/password. I KNOW I'm putting in the right proxy info (it defaulted it from my PC which browses fine) and correct user name/pw/domain. Any ideas?
FIXED
No firewall, no ActiveSync, no connection problems at all.
Fixed it by reverting my database to a backup.
When i had the well known alarm clock troubles i accidentially (= out of ignorance) deleted the whole notification queue.
Word of advice: Don't do that, it'll screw everything up

1. What is the purpose of the Notification queue?
2.What does it have to do with ActiveSync connectivity?
3.How is Notification queue set to make AS work?
Still cannot resolve my connectivity problem with my MDA. Thanks in advance.

Manages the Operating System's list of scheduled actions.

Still looking for some help on this.
check this solution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271174&highlight=activesync
Is this related to the inability to pass-through browse while on activesync? I am able to sync fine, but when I try to browse I get an error saying bad proxy info (which I've check 1000 times). Or sometimes when I'm messing around with the settings I get a "lost connection" message rather than the invalid login/password. So frustrating! Will switching to the serial type of connection help me?
ActiveSync must be one of the most frustrating applications out there. I have tried all recommended fixes and still cannot get ActiveSync to recognize my MDA. The last time I did a sync was 9/06. Too much BS using this application. I have searched all over the web and cannot find any application that will allow me to update my PIM file without ActiveSync. So, I guess I will finally give up on this. Thanks to all of you who have tried to help me. Thank You!!

ActiveSync on wirelss and other..

Hi all,
I was finally able to synchronize my PDA with the exchange server after a lot of trouble and learning but i am facing some problems.
- I found out that ActiveSync does't work with WIFI. Is there any way to get it to work ? Because when my PDA is connected to WIFI and i send a message to it, i don't receive it at all but get it on my outlook. Everytime I have to manually snychronize to get the messages on my PDA
- I have noticed that there is more delay of messages coming to my PDA than to my Outlook. What might be the cause here?
- Last but not the least, sometimes i get the error code message : 0x85020013
Thanks
anyone ?
I hope i have posted this in the right section.
Cmon there must be someone out there ?

Windows Live Failed Sync Error

When ever I click sync in Windows live it comes up as failed. I get my e-mail but my contacts in messenger aren't synced. In windows live on the PPC it only shows 4 of my contacts compared to the about 30 on my PC version.
It's not like I use Live anyway, I'm more of a Yahoo user but since Yahoo doesn't support their ppc client anymore I decided to go back to MSN since my Yahoo contacts are available on my PC MSN.
So, does any one know of a registry hack to uninstal and do a fresh install of Live on the Mogul.
Thanks
Same problem here
hi,
as Pocket MSN is replaced with Windows live in WM6, I believe this is a common problem that a Majority of folks are suffering around the world.
Use Google, and see.
I've been trying to Sync my 311 contacts for the past month, but NO WAY!
also, when I become online, and any of my buddies is online, I will still see them as offline. it's always like this: "0 Online". "217 Offline" (Since the rest failed to sync), even though I'm chatting with some of'em and they are ONLINE.
Note: Synchronizing 217 contacts happened successfully (Once upon the time) and as I wasn't able to wait more than 2 hours, I decided to disconnect and go, when I tried to sync again it failed. also, it failed everytime I tried it before this ONLY half-successful experience.
I've tried to sync using the USB cable which is connected to every available internet ISP. i.e. Dial-UP, DSL, also tried the phone's WIFI, GPRS. all in vain.
I've noticed that - during the sync proccess - synchronizing folders is successfully, also, when I check "e-mail messages" in the sync options, they sync successfully, but the FAILED thing comes along with CONTACTS. also, recently, PERSONAL SETTINGS are failing to sync.
therefore, the help of an expert is needed. as this is a global problem, and I don't think that microsoft will provide us with the solution soon (not in the current generation of software)
another question: when I use resco file explorer and bluetooth, how to see my desktop computer under "my network"?
in other words: is the known lack of profiles microsoft bluetooth stack resolved yet?
I installed the provided DUN profile, but what I need isn't DUN, btw, it also says OBEX doesn't exist when I try to recieve from any normal mobile phone (for example Nokia or so)! is that normal?!!
HTC PROPHET, WM6 Prophet Touch by Gullum
ROM Version 4.0.0.0 WWE
Radio Version 02.47.21
The folks at microsoft have identified this issue and have found not a solution, but a workaround to this problem. Go to the following website if you want more details.
https://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2467855&SiteID=65
Basically, all you have to do is switch your live account and thal'll reset all your settings and contacts. Note that this is not a solution but it works. You can connect to messenger and your email account as long as you don't close the application, so if you have enough memory you can always leave it running in the background because if you close it and try to sync again it'll fail
Hope that helps!!
I've Got the Solution!

I think I broke Microsoft - Windows Live Messenger problem

So I think my problem is unrelated to my phone, or rom, however when this problem began, i was running Ultimate.X2 by abusalza. I noticed one day (for the first time) that on my webmail @live.com inbox, i could sign in on messenger.
I did that...
And then I signed out.
Later, I signed on to mobile messenger, and got the error "There is a problem with the server. Please try again later", with the option to retry, or cancel.
I tried signing on usin the desktop app, and everything worked fine.
I tried signing on the web version again, and I got an error message along the lines of "There is a problem signing you in. This problem is with our servers, and not with your computer. Please try again later"
So I assumed I broke something... I removed the @live.com account from my phone, and put it back on - mail, contacts, everything works but messenger.
So I hard reset, input my @live account again - no joy.
I signed out of all locations, thinking it may be a problem with multiple location sign in - I even turned that feature off - still not working.
I upgrade to abuzulas V3 - same deal.
Suddenly today, I am able to sign into the web version again (also i upgraded to windows 7 and ie 8 - however, i was receiving same said message at my vista machine).
My thoughts are that there is a problem on the microsoft side with the multiple location login...
But that's a thought, and I have no way to test, and no way to reset... Any ideas?

i don't know.... i'm thinking the fact that i'm having problems with the web version is indicative of a stuck bit on microsoft servers.
I went back to abusalzas Ultimate.V2 Rom, and same issure - here are screens of errors I've been getting.
hello
can you connect over wifi ?
if yes, try to disable the proxy, it worked for me, allowing me to sign in on gprs.
I wonder what your wifi problem was - this is happening to me however on both the web version, and on every possible connection to the phone, wifi included.
I still think it's server side, but I'm waiting for MS to get back to me.
