Disable geo tagging? - Epic 4G General

Is there a way to disable geotagging of photos?
So far I found you can disable location under Settings->Location Security->My Location.
But I wanted to keep that on, but just disable it for the camera app.

Open the camera app:
Menu > Settings on the left side onscreen menu > Click on the wrench > Unclick GPS

I don't see that option, I am running EE 2.0.1 though (DK17), did they remove it in Froyo?

What about just turning off gps when taking photos?

That works but I use maps and navigation a lot so I usually keep location on.

GPS on Alltel Vouge

I got the official Alltel 6.1 ROM, and when I go to Google Maps to the "Use GPS" option, I get a "No GPS receiver detected." Please help, as I don't want to have to use Allel Navigator.
In your phone settings is your location set to ON and the com port set to 4??
Let me clarify...in your GPS settings is your GPS program port set to 4? and make sure that in GOOGLE MAPS that your GPS settings are set to COM4 and 57600. It works for me on a fresh install of alltel ROM.
if i do this i still need external gps hardware for it to work.. is that right?
I have all the settings too like you said up above. still doesn't work.
go to:
Start > Settings > Click on your "Phone" icon > click "Services" tab > Make sure "Location Setting" is highlighted, then click the "Get Settings" button.
Make sure it is checked on, then click "ok" in the top right.
Then go to google maps, click menu and make sure use gps has a check mark next to it, if not click it. (its something along the lines of use gps).
that should take care of your problem.
if you ever have to hard reset your phone you will have to do this again.
Check out my old thread here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478910. It was a pain, nut I finally got it working in the end. After the shadow tech fix I consistently get lock in less than 30 seconds outdoors, indoors does`nt work as well, but its still better. This is the only way the get the gps to work correctly on your phone and not pay Alltel 10 bucks a month for their Alltel Nav.

There is more, somewhere. I've tried almost everything out there with no luck. The GPS "Debug Info" in FieldTrial shows N/A on all of the settings. I gave up, but would like to get it working after other ideas show up.
I do have 6.1, Alltel ROM 3.10.671.1, Radio 3.42.30 ...
Make sure location settings is on. if your on Alltel then definitaly do Shadow-tech's GPS fix found here--->
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377
Then install the attached GoogleMaps.cab
After install go to menu in google maps then options then GPS settings and make sure "managed by windows" is checked. exit out then go back into google maps menu and click use GPS and it should work.

Many tries, many combinations, no joy ... I suspect I have a hardware issue. ##DEBUG shows N/A for everything under GPS no matter what. Thanks!

Won't flip horizontal

My legend won't flip 90degrees (horizontal) when i hold it that way when im looking at photo's or typing a message, it worked before but suddenly it doesnt anymore?
Is there any setting i dind't find? Could it be caused by an app(e.g. Swype, Swiftkey)
there are some apps which can disallow auto rotation, do you have switchpro or some other (auto rotate) toggle widget? If you don't you can try downloading one and toggle it so it would allow it. maybe there is some setting in your phone which can do that but mine is getting repaired so I can't check it atm.

First off, i'm dutch so i have an android phone with dutch language, and boldly translated it's:
settings > sound and display > stance
(in dutch: Instellingen > geluid en weergave > stand)
Guess, that's why i cound't find it...

Anyone?
In the settings in the camera app you can enable it. On mine I have to scroll in the settings to see it.

Agree, disagree

Whenever I enable location in settings, it's asking for agree, disagree it's annoying me, is there is any way to agree once for all.?
Also in location settings once enabled first it's going for high accuracy, I wanted to have always on power savings mode whenever I activate location.
I am on UK btu completely stock room.
Thanks

Instead of enabling/disabling location service, you can enabling/disabling GPS. It will not ask for agree/disagree.
How? Latest UK btu rom G1 doesn't have GPS separately, it's have just location

Really?
You can activate/deactivate GPS with only "1 click" by:
- Using notification panel (GPS icon).
- OR Settings > Location services > Use GPS sattelites.
GPS icon was in little older rom, now only location icon in Notification bar

The OP is correct, no separate GPS. This agree/disagree bugs me too, but I grudgingly live with it.
In Location settings, you can choose to use between GPS, GPS+network or only network. Unfortunately, I don't know any way to automate to specific option, GPS + network is being the default one.
Also, the agree/disagree popup can be disabled by using this Xposed module - http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.disablelocationconsent

Yes, there is a solution.
You need Root first.
Then you need Xposed Installer
Then you need this module
Good luck . . .

Cannot turn on camera location tag

I am not sure where I am going wrong. Im looking to turn on the GPS location tag in the camera app. The problem is that there is not way to enable it in the settings of the camera app.
Is it hidden somewhere else?
On my Verizon NI 4.4.4 S-5 the location tag is set in the camera settings. You hit the gear icon and up pops all of the various settings. Location Tags are in the row that is third from the bottom on the left hand side.
Dave
Thats the problem...... not there!
found the option.....you have to change it to front facing camera to see the shutter and location options
