Is my battery life crappy because I made a mistake?

I let the thing drain until it turned off, then turned it back on and drain some more then charged it while it was off when I first got it.. should I get a new battery because right now I can barely last 8 hours with set cpu and all the stuff.. Ive done many calibration things but no change..

I think it's unlikely you ruined your battery but it couldn't hurt to swap it out at a Sprint store, I'm sure they would do that for you

Getting the battery to too low of a voltage can damage it, yes. It's unlikely you actually managed that though.

Goodbye inspire hello atrix

I had an inspire and the screen was great loved the camera and of course android. But the battery life was so so even with the custom rom. Returned yesterday and got the atrix. No complaints so for other than stock blur which I downloaded launcher pro over. Battery life excellent and I like the screen. Anyone else with a good experience?

The atrix's battery is excellent....18hrs from full charge and still 30+% battery left...and this is with heavy usage (4+hours with screen on, browsing, downloading apps, youtube, whatsapp, etc)

Mine is just as good on the N1. I think that fthe battery is above average a little, but people are so used to crappy battery life that try think it is a gift from God; no, they just had bad batt. life

Agreed my battery life is amazing. Best smart phone battery i've had to date.

I get over 24 hours with my battery, even better than I was getting with my iPhone 4.

It was suggested somewhere in the general forum not too long ago that the newer Linux kernels are less battery efficient, at least with respect to the Evo, and I tend to agree.
With constant use I was able to only use 10% connected to Wifi but now it's nearly 20% use, again in a constant setting on Wifi.
You can try running an app like "watch dog lite" and seeing if an app is causing an issue.

Opinions are cynics

I want to learn more about my atrix. I unlocked my bl and still learning what roms are great on my device. I am currently using aura debloat and my phone flies. I am always up for opinions and how to's about this phone because I am always learning something new. Thanks.

Its a powerhouse. And its only getting bigger. This phone has a lot of potential and when they get the overclocking up higher we will be sitting in a pretty dominate position.

I am still learning and I don't know how to get the best battery life with underclocking and performance with overclock. The phones a beast and has unlimited potential.
