Has anyone noticed that the earpiece (silver part at the top of the phone) is cut at a slight angle. On mine, i would say that the left hand side is slightly lower than the right hand side. Not really an issue, just wondered if anyone else had this from a recent purchase.
This problem appears in some DHD but not all. I checked several units when I bought the DHD and 1 of them have this problem.
My earpiece is level with the top of the screen, but not with the top of the uni-body. It almost looks like my DHD has a small bulge at the top left!

As a fresh owner I have a few questions:
1 - The lower right corner of the front panel wobbles (?), moves slightly on touch, I can press it for about 1mm (see the attached screen). It is especially annoying when pressing OK or dial off (or whatever the button is called). Is it normal?
2 - The screen has a slight green tone (hue), can anything be done with it?
3 - LCD has noticeable light leaking near the bottom side, again, is it normal? (Well, the screen does not work now anyway, gotta flash the phone.)
Thanks

(1) I have no issues with this, seams fine on mine
(2) I cannot notice any hue, maybe you have a faulty unit given the blue colour and the movement of the panel.
(3) Yes LCD light is noticible, I also get leaks through the optical pad when I have the notification LED's on
1. I got some small loose on the front pannel upper area, it's especially felt when You hold the phone in one hand and work with Your thumb pressing the screen or just put the phone to You ear. You feel then the pannel moves a bit down. Maybe thats normal or just the build quality is not so good at all.
sounds like you have a faulty one. mine is solid as a rock. the loose screen and the green hue could be related. there shouldnt be any discolouration at all and i can only see it getting worse to be honest. where did you get it? if its somewhere reputable then id take it back and ask for a decent one while its still in warranty.
i do have tiny bit of light leakage near the buttons, that does seem common.
Mine is well made too, no hardware problems.
I have a silver one, solid as a rock, light leaks are present though...
I dont know if its just my phone but try this. Close the phone, now from the bottom it seems that the left side has no gap and doesn't move when u press it down. However on the right side there is a slight gap and i press it down the phone will move. Also when i slide the phone out and use the windows keys the upper half touches the bottom half of the phone and make this faint clicking sound which is really annoying. Does your phones do that or is it just mine?
i've had three DVPs and each of them were built just fine. the slider worked flawlessly and there weren't any uneven gaps.
no gaps here and i haven't seen any for the ones we got at work - about 10.. but i wasn't really looking for it.

Mine has a slight gap on the right side too.
I question the build Quality of the venue pro as well.
I've gone through 6 of them and they all had horrible build quality.
I assume most people have crappy DVP as well, they just don't know it until they've seen what horrible quality is.
Get it?
For example, most people dont know they have bad vision until it is corrected by wearing glasses.
Hello everyone
I have been using my nexus for a while and started to realise that when i press the screen against its back case near the earplug (middle top), I hear some cracking sound. Does anyone having that as well?
Thank you.
Occasionally you'll find one with creaking edges. Sometimes where you said, sometimes left corner, sometimes side, etc. etc. There are units which don't creak at all, but may not be worth it to try to get one if everything else is working ok.
Hi guys,
Received my 6P today and noticed that the screen is slightly loose on the bottom left corner. It moves slightly if i pay close attention and push down with a bit of force.
Here is a picture where you can see the black of the screen slightly higher on the left side compared to the right.

Anyone else have this on any corners of their device?
Get a replacement. That is defective. Over time that will become a problem
So I'm receiving my 6P tomorrow, and I wanna test everything that's been going wrong (yellow screen, lower back lip, bluetooth sync, headphones not working, random reboots, etc) and figure out if I should RMA it asap
Might seem obvious but check for dents in the aluminum, especially near the power/volume buttons.
I could live with all the little flaws..... But my screen was slightly "warped" at the bottom right corner and no Tempered Glass Screen Protectors would stay attached to that corner.
RMA in process.
Problem: No problems.
Sent from my Nexus 6P
- Pink hue to screen / Yellow hue to screen
- Screen flush-ness to side bezels
- Lower grill speaker being significantly quieter than the upper grill speaker
- (As posted above) Dents/bends in metal near power/volume rocker
- Camera not focusing well
- Figerprint scanner not working while charging
- Strange software issues (I.E. fingerprint software missing, random reboots, shaky bluetooth)
I'm sure i'm missing a few...
Haven't had anything that I would say is a problem with build or software. All my issues have been with 3rd party items, case with to small a hole to plug in headphone jack and poorly cut screen protectors. The 6P itself has been wonderful so far
I've been having speaker issues. The bottom speaker is lower than the top speaker. I tried to RMA the device but Google says that's the way the phone was designed.
