I have a Google ION phone and after updating it to 2.2 OTA I never get a 3G connection anymore. Anyone know what might be causing this? I haven't found anyone else with this problem.
I've also been having trouble connecting to some wifi:s that used to work, not sure if it's related.
Android version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: 62.50SJ.20.17U_2.22.28.25
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-27237-gbe746fb

I rooted my X10a a while ago (I used the 6/7/10 insturctions and everything seems to working fine...except the headphones
As far as I can tell, protected apps show up on the market (e.g. tapatalk pro), Barnacle and Titanium Backup work fine (looks like the phone is rooted properly) and the phone displays the following:
Model Number: X10a
Firmware Version: 1.6
Baseband Version: 1.1.27
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-rel
Build Number: R2BA023
I'm on "3 Australia" and 3G, WiFi and MMS seem to be working properly. Any ideas? Would installing Jerpelea's R2BA024 update help?
apparently i have the same problem too. it is only after i root my phone this problem exists.
Hi Everyone,
Dell Streak - US - started with 1.6 and I've honestly lost track of what all I tried.
Here's where I am at now:
Firmware version: 1.6
Baseband version: Unknown
Kernel version: 2.6.29-perf
OEM version: GAUSB1A111231
Build Number: 6601
Buttons to the right are flashing periodically.
At this point I really would like to at least get the phone working again. When I plug the usb cable in when the phone is booted up the PC does not see it. I can get WIFI to work, but no cell signal.
Any suggestions on what I should try next? I was trying to go to 2.2 via the O2 1.6 build. That worked, but then went I tried to go 02 1.6 to US 2.2 it failed. I found a restore package and got 6601 back, but with no cell service.
I appreciate the help in advance.
Check out this link. I was in the same boat as you yesterday and fixed it this way.

hey,
I got HTC mytouch 4g a week ago. and I am familiar with some of the terms and whats going on.
Firstly, this is my software information on my phone currently:
Android version: 2.2.1
baseband version: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M
kernal version: 2.6.32.21-g899d047
[email protected] #1
tues oct 26
build number: 1.17.531.2 CL277036
software number: 1.17.531.2
I have read that there is some OTA update that is applied to htc mytouch 4g and that I need do something about that prior to rooting. Am I suppose to do that then? and is the version of visionary 11 good and "safe" rather than latest versions?
Is there anything else I should read and learn before I tackle rooting? If so, can you please provide the link or let me know what to search exactly. I have checked out the wiki, but I don't really know what I am exactly looking for or should be looking for :S.
thanks!
Hi,
a few weeks ago I updated my stock german Xoom so the following:
Model Number: XZ601
Android Version: 3.0.1
Firmware: GAS_EMEA_USAEVRSTUTMDE_P007
Baseband Version: N_01.83.21P
Baseband Configuration Version: UCAEVEUB1B8EU02D.0R
Kernel Version: 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1
Build Number: H.6.1-38-5
I think this was not really software update but I did this to root the thing. Now, when I click System Upgrade, the device tells me it was up to date. Is this update functionality gone since I rooted the tablet or is Motorola still not providing Android 3.1 in EMEA?
Is there a working manual update to german 3.1 out by now? I think last time I checked there was none. Can someone bring me up to speed plz?
cheers
mathiase
My stock german xoom is not getting update either when i check for update. and its absolutely stock, i did not root it or do anything to it.
i guess 3.1 did not land in EMEA yet...at least not in Germany...
Hi,
okay that means it does not necessarily have to do with my rooted version. But the question remains: will I get the update through the usual channel with the rooted device?
Motorola is really straining me here ... What about manual updates? Is there something out for german devices by now?
cheers

I hadn't heard of any updates going out to anyone other than japan/china/australia?
So it seems that Sharp put out an update to our device today. I haven't upgraded, but does anyone know what this adds? Or noticed any changes?
