those apps will not work for us, and besides your asking for somthing illegal.... like the taco man said if you want them than port them yourself. not trying to be mean but i dont think anyone is going to port those for you.

I wish it was easier to make a ROM. I've tried looking around to figure it out, but its tough. There are some really nice ROMs out there, but nothing that is exactly like what I want (and I'm sure others feel the same). The resources are out there, but it takes a lot of digging and it's not all that easy to understand.

its not really all that hard to grab a rom unpack it add what you want to /data/app/ than repack and resign.
Look around for signing tools, if your on windows you can use this.

Did i read it wrong ? I thought he wanted those apps removed...
But I definitley want to start learning how to start cooking roms ...... but i know nothing aboutdoing it ....so i am reading and reading and reading........

I tried porting a Rom but it wouldn't boot. its a lot harder than I thought as well.

is it the stability?
the graphics?
what separates it from the rest to want it ported over?
im just asking cause it is a process..but if its something that i possibly have missed then i may give it a go

Its based off the new Sprint Hero leak, its very stable and fast

[Q] Android 2.3 Gingerbread for HTC Buzz/Wildfire ???

Just wondering, but since Gingerbread is out now: I would love to know if:
a) it can be configured to run on the Wildfire?
b) how/who/when can do it, to make it happen?
c) if there are plans to build cyanogen mod on Gingerbread

You'll have to wait a few weeks as it hasn't been put on AOSP yet meaning the source isn't available. You might see a port of the emulator image on the nexus one as that has been done before with froyo. Once we have source it should(afaik) be a case of modifying the vendors that adeadrat and Jacob are using now to accommodate for the new build.prop etc.

well: I guess that wasn't the warmest possible welcome into the developing world. Hope for you guys that it's not all too rough out there ... I really have fun trying out the different custom ROMs that there are. I would even report bugs, as that's about the only thing I could contribute ...
still am excited to see how the work in Gingerbread for Wildfire is going, since I suspect it will be the last major release that can be run on the wildfire.
PS: This thread may not be completely lost if some folks who are into developing post any announcements on Gingerbread for Wildfire here ...

Also i don't know if this could be done but can something be done in regards to the resolution of the wildfire... please lol or is there a replacement screen for the wildfire? ......cause i really would like to get another screen and if anyone knows where that would be great.

I only know for the resolution of the wildfire, that there is a pixel density changer (I have no idea if this is any good, but you could look into it if you really want to change it)

If I remember correctly, I had read a post somewhere where a few members were trying to port MIUI to the Wildfire but it was proving to be an extremely tough ask.

Yes yesterday i failed at yet another port.. i am close atleast i think so..only bad news is tomorrow i have my college deadline and tomorrow is the last day i will have to test on wildfire after that no wildfire for a month .

Mh, I tried for a while there, and some other guys helped me, even HCDRJacob. The real annoying part is that it gets a "first-splash-screen" boot-loop, and by then ADB cant take logcats. So I cant se whats wrong!

Calling all vibrant devs!!!! Everyone should read this!!!

Sense is within our reach!!! It has already been ported to Galaxy S i9000 and Samsung Captivate..Us Vibrant owners need ALL the help we can get!! Hell who doesn't want sense on their Vibrant?!?!
I Have been talking to the dev over on that board about porting to the Vibrant, here is what he said:

try taking the script from the hc port put in in the zip and flash it. Probably wont work, but try it

Nah. It'll install but not everything will work without making a Vibrant kernel.

No. I think they're using the new radio partitioning in .6, so it needs a new kernel.

Sense is really nice. I didn't even know it was ported to the captivate, sure do hope any of the Great devs can work on this.

one question
i have a question. do you want a port of just all the apps to look like a sense. i mean you can make a 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 all look a sense with all the new sense apps and such but it depends on what you want. if you want the sense gingerbread than thats alot more work. there are alot of options, but you gotta realize that the new sense works off of hardware not found in most phones. sooooo you gotta take that into consideration. but i will look at the 19000 port and see what they changed. im finally gonna start making roms, kinda gettin tired of making my own and not posting them. give me a couple of days and you will have it. but i dont know if i want it 2.3 since theres no gps i dont want it. if you have suggestions i will think about it, and maybe port it. but i wont develop if theres no requests.

edit: alot of people dont realize but when a port is brought over its not all the system files that they transfer, all samsung vibrant files are used, so thats why i made a post like this. devs dont create everything themselves and make things work, they keep old files and add stuff to make it like another phone. hence the reason why all roms have a certain base. blah blah blah, sorry been drinking and tired of randomness of roms. pm me if you want this ported the way i do it, which means, framework-apps-some system files into one rom.

Wow, i would love to have Sense on my Vibrant. Hope that someone start working on this...

Would really really be nice, I have two vibrants... one MIUI Thanks Segnaro and I would put Sense on the other one which is currently stock...

ok so im gonna port this. its gonna be based off of a current gingerbread rom but will make it sense complete. only reason is because of kernel, and i wanna add the no rainbow effect. anyways give me til the end of the week and you will have it. so dont worry everybody, you will get your sense 3.0 rom. have a great rest of the week. goooodbbbyyyeee.
oh if there are any suggestions just pm me please. i will do what i can, but there will be a rom released by this weekend, if only the air force gave me more time off. i work to damn hard for this country.

Awesome, thanks man.. when it releases u will see at least a $20 donation from me. Who would have thought us Vibrant users would see, Sense, Miui, gingerbread, and a semi working honeycomb.

Likes to see a 6.1 CM based rom?

Who wants to see a CM 6.1 based rom for the hero with more up to date apps and some basic tweaks so it runs nice for these days on the Hero?
I am building one for myself and it is getting there. still got a little theme problem. Gonna see if I can fix that sorta and then maybe ill release it.
If anyone wants to see one, give a yell here
