Here is a suggestion from another member:
Download gps status from the market. Menu->Tools->A gps->Reset then the same but download instead of reset. That resets all internal gps data. That fixed my gps problem.
Hope this helps....
Awesome. Thank you so much. Worked like a charm. And that app is pretty cool too.

When trying to download apps, it stalls on the starting download screen. I've left it there for 5 to 10 minutes without anything happening. I still have 201mb of space left for the apps. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

Cool, Thank you i will try that and see if it works.
Mine does it. Not sure why but this fixes it......open Google talk, click on a status, and go "home". Works every time. Make sure you have talk ignored in you task killer too.

The Google Navigation consequently gets stuck at the "getting driving directions" screen. I am able to use Google Maps perfectly, without any data or GPS disruptions. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the Google Navigation program but the problem remains. Any help will be greatly appreciated! [please excuse my poor writing skills.]
They released a new version of viper rom a few days ago and this issue is fixed. Give it a try, it works great.

Just keeps saying searching on Google navigation. But on Google search it world fine to pill up nearby places. GPS just keeps saying searching.....
Strange because it worked just fine with 2.3.4.....

There is a GPS driver fix that is linked throughout the Deck ROM thread. It works really well. I'll see if I can find it and link it for you, but if you want immediate results search through that thread and you'll find it. The dude who made it keeps it updated too, so I flashed his driver every time I flashed ROMs.

I updated my software that Sprint pushed roughly 2 wks ago. Using the new Telanav with 2.3, I realize it's more buggy. It takes long to load, often drops gps signal, and restarts whenever I get an incoming call. Anybody having these issues?

Should have never updated. To save battery Samsung cut back on satellite locks. Root with a custom kernel orf ROM with the GPS fix.

Clear the data and cache for that app, then "uninstall the update" and then reopen it and reinstall when prompted...or freeze the app after you root and use Google Nav instead!

Yes.that is his problem. Not Telenav. Telenav works fine. It is his GPS that locks up Telenav.

I've heard about the GPS Fix, but I can't find it. Any ideas where it is? The search didn't help me, I guess I haven't gotten the hang of the weird XDA search.
I have a stock rooted EI22.
Thanks!

I had this once. Not sure if this was what actually fixed it but what I did was download AngryGPS and GPS Aids. Then you use GPSAids to download XTRA files and run the GPS Doctor. Then run AngryGPS in TTFF test mode overnight.
It may also help to set GPS to MSBASED in AngryGPS.
same problem here...

Gps works for me on RemICS-1.3.
I did a factory reset before installing, if that matters...

Try using faster fix to set your region, then use gps aids, clear agps in settings, go outside, request update agps, then go to main gps aids screen and wait for a good fix (can take a couple of minutes first time) then subsequently you should get a good fix pretty fast.....mine takes 15 seconds
