[Q] Need Sprint stock firmware - Galaxy Tab General

Does anyone have the sprint stock firmware in update.zip format? I rooted my tab using z4root but then later used z4root to unroot it so that I could use the rooting method that installs clockwork mod recovery.
Unfortunately I didnt know that after unrooting you cannot root again without flashing stock firmware. Now everytime I try to root the tab locks up.

[Q] Unrooting Vibrant to Send Back to T-Mob

I have to send my Vibrant back to T-Mob for a replacement. I am rooted and have not flashed any roms. I rooted by flashing the SGH-959 Root Update.zip method. Can I just un-root the phone using the terminal emulator method to get back to the original firmware? Or do I need to get back using odin? I have flashed things like eugenes gps fix and metaporph visualizations, but that's it.
I would flash UVJE8 with odin and be done with it. Just to be safe.

[Q] S4 Restore to original MDL version or how to install Fixed Kernel via CWM

Help needed!
Tried to root my Sprint SPH-L720 MDL version (really need to be able to use it as HotSpot like I was using my previous phone) and having issues with getting root access as Sprint has added a SetUID restriction on the kernel with the latest update.
But most important, Good Enterprise stopped working as it detected that phone is rooted or partially rooted (as Titanium Backup gives me a message that it was able to acquire Root Privs – but its UI never opens up). Not having Good Enterprise is not an option for me.
So, decided to go back to Original as seen posts with instructions (these were key for me to move forward with rooting) that it is easy to do, however only know realized that all these ports are using MDC version of Firmware and I could not find Official Firmware for MDL version. Only MDC version available. Ouch!
Question #1: Anyone knows if MDL version of Original Firmware even exists and if yes where to download it? Or should I just use MDC version? Would it work?
If recovery is not available, I could pass this phone to one of my kids but I will need to fix root. To fix root I need to flash new MDL kernel using ODIN & CWM recovery. I have Fixed MDL Kernel, but I could not find instructions on how to flash it.
Question #2: Anyone could point me to the instructions on how to flash Kernel using ODIN and CWM Recovery?
Thank you In advance!
only way right now is to flash mdc and then take the ota.
for some reason Samsung has not released the mdl yet.
kernels you flash in recovery like a rom just read the install instruction in any kernel thread.
there is also an unroot script posted in dev you might try.
for rooting did you odin cf auto root? pretty hard not to root that way.

[Q] Failed Custom Recovery Update w/ Dandroid 4.4

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 ATT I337UCUAMDL
Model Number in settings on 4.4 ROM = GT-I9505G
As the title says, I installed dandroid's newest 4.4 ROM from WICKED v5 4.2.2 and lost root. So I attempted to update my CWM Recovery from Odus 1x to the newest using Odin which failed do to write protected I suppose all though others says that doesnt effect their installs.
Where I'm at:
Cannot boot into recovery, says booting recovery the just reboots and enters Dandroid's ROM w/o root.
I'm now lost and have been reading the forums for hours. Currently downloading STOCK Samsung firmware for my device I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT.zip
CASUAL failed.
What do I need to do to get back to WORKING custom recovery w/ rooted dandriod 4.4 kitkat rom. Should I use Odin and flash stock rom then motochopper to root and try to reinstall working CWM recovery?
Please advise best course of action. My phone had been working properly with every ROM I tried before update to 4.4 ROM and attempted CWM recovery update (thinking that would fix my root issue). Thanks all!
If you have a nandroid, and I hope you do, just restore that in your custom recovery. If you don't, then you're going to have to return to stock with odin
Tried motochopper on the phone as it sits and it fails as well.
I have a stock backup but the problem is I no longer have access to any recovery. Guess I'm just gonna have to flash the stock firmware with Odin when its finished downloading and start over.
Just finished Odin flash back to samsung factory firmware. Phone stuck at att world logo on bootup, still can't access recovery. Any ideas?

If you flashed Odin successfully you can get into recovery.
Finally got into recovery it rebooted 3 times but just holding the req. buttons finally got me in.
Back on factory firmware and rooted w/ cwm recovery all back in place properly worrking.
I would like to use the Dandroid 4.4 ROM with this device. When I install am I going to lose root again and if so, how I do I get it back on this device since the model in the settings is going to change from I337 to I9505G after installing this ROM?
Figured it all out last night, re-flashed Dandroid's latest ROM which still caused me to loose root, then flashed SuperSU 1.51 instead of 1.80 and regained root. All is right in the world now.

Hey, if you dont mind me asking where did you get the 1.51 zip to flash? I'm having a similar issues with same ROM where i lost root but have recovery access.
Thanks
Update: Found the file. Flashed it. Root is back. Have you let market update it automatically? If so did you lose root afterwords?

[Q] Not booting into CWM

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505. I want to make a nandroid backup.
I installed Rom Manager via the Play Store, and I clicked on; Install CWM.
After installing CWM I pressed on the firmware backup button.
My phone rebooted and showed blue letters: Booting Recovery. But I came into the default recovery from Android, not into CWM.
Why can't I access CWM? Rom Manager said it's installed.
Regards,
Michael
Maybe, you need to install a different kernel.

I have stock ROM from Samsung, rooted with Kingo Android ROOT.
Rom Manager said CWM is installed, how to un-install it if it doesn't work?

Using Kingo method you wont be able to flash custom rom/recovery. Root your phone by flashing CF-Auto root via Odin n then you can install CWM. Knox will be triggered.

Thanks for your answer. Do I need to un-root Kingo first, or does Odin overwrite it when I use CF-auto root?
And what will happen with my apps when I un-root kingo? (I have a few apps that require root).

Yes you have to unroot. You can do this from the Superuser app by clicking unroot. Cf auto root works best if the phone is reset to factory settings as this may prevent flashing errors of Odin. For your apps which require root , you have to back up them for future use as reset will wipe them. Hit thnx if helpd.

Failed to root galaxy S5 usning ODIN

Hello, I have tried both ways to root my Galaxy S5 and when I try and update the firmware via my old way using my phone, it says my phone has been altered. I attempted to use a root only app and i was prompted i needed a rooted phone to use it. When I went in to use towelroot, after clicking "make it ra1n" I was prompted "you should have root, no reboot required". Is my phone rooted and how do I know if it is and how do i use different roms on my phone?

Do you have a G900F or a different model? To flash customs roms you don`t need root as these roms are pre rooted allready. You only need to flash a custom recovery so you can flash these roms and get root anyway
