Market Not Working - Fascinate General

On my new fascinate, the market is only working with the stock ROM. I've rooted with several different ROMS, tried restoring, deleting caches, uninstalling updates, using 3G not WiFi, and the market won't work in anything other than the stock installs (no custom roms). Please help as the stock rom SUCKS.

Fresh version 1.1 causing apps to crash?

Ever since I installed Fresh over the stock rom, it seems like more apps are crashing. Right now, I can't use Newsrob or Grooveshark as they crash at startup.
I'm not sure if this is due to the rom, but this is my first android phone and beyond rooting it and installing this rom, I haven't done anything to the phone.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks
have you tried wiping data, reinstalling the apps or re-flashing 1.1?
I uninstalled all non-essential apps and re-installed the needed ones. seems to work fine now. not sure what the cause was.

[Q] Andriod market problems

Hi, hoping somebody on here will be able to help me.
I'm having problems with the android market, basically i've had the x8 for a few months now using the stock rom. Decided to try out some of the custom roms on here so wanted to try them all before choosing.
Was really happy with racht's floyo.20 and dioxanh's rom's. Had no problem with the android market till a few days ago when i installed the latest dioxanh's vo17 rom. I logged in as usual but i only has a selection of around 20 free apps and no paid apps. The paid apps menu doesn't even show up. When i try to search for any specific app it says it can't locate it, even very common ones like facebook, opera etc.
I've tried logging in with different accounts, erasing information, rebooting, loading different roms and even re-installing the stock rom but still getting the same problem.
Is there some settings on the phone that i need to reset.
Did i try too many custom roms in too short a time or something silly like that.
Any help would be much appreciated as I would like to get the most from the x8 as I think its a great phone.
Thanks
Don't know if you have tried this, but wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache in xRecovery ------> Advanced tools-------> Wipe Dalvik Cache and Wipe Cache Partition

[Q] About switching betweem ROMS

Using the guides on these forums, last night I decided to root, full backup, and flash a ROM and kernal. Everything went very smooth.
My question is, if I decide to switch to some other ROMS to see which one I like, what happens to all the apps I add in between the flashes? Do they all get erased when I switch. If so, what do I need to do in order to save them?
Thanks for the advice, and thank you to everyone who has writing these great guides.
titanium backup. You can backup whatever apps you want then restore them after you flash a new rom. Some system apps may not work when you restore them, but the majority of 3rd party apps work just fine.
Thank you for that info.
Also if you sync your market account when you flash a new ROM, all the apps will get downloaded and automatically installed onto your fresh ROM the first time you connect to your wifi.
I must also note though that there was a ROM or two that didn't do this. I think it might have been Thor's ROM, but I can confirm that I just flashed lightspeed last night and all the apps were automatically downloaded.

Problems with a new CM7 install

Hey guys. I've had it with MIUI. and i'm ready to switch to a new rom. i figured now was as good a time as any to try out CM7. So i downloaded the latest stable version, backed up my existing install and flashed. The phone got stuck at the bootscreen. I assumed it was because i neglected to wipe data and cache, so i went back, wiped everything, reflashed and booted into CM7(after an extensive wait)
Everything was running great and i just finished restoring my apps with MyBackup. I was getting FCs on a few apps, but i chocked it up to CM7 not having all the components that some of those apps require. I was about to start removing the offenders when the phone crashed and went back to the bootscreen. It sat there for 2 hours before i pulled the battery and restored back to MIUI.
In short, i really want to try out CM7, but if it's going to be this unstable, obviously it won't cut it. Am i doing something wrong??
Some apps just do not play nicely when being restored from a backup. Can you restore apps 1 at a time so that you only get the apps that you know work? Then re-download the apps that are causing problems.
Possibly. That seems like an unnecessary step though. Would a rom really crash because of app incompatibility? I thought they would just FC every time i tried to run them, not blow up the whole ROM.
If you are using ROM MANAGER you can try to use the utility for "Fix Permissions". I'm sure there is a way to do it in the recovery them selves, but the process escapes me.
This is not an uncommon requirement when restoring from one complex ROM to another.
I had some quirkiness restoring a few apps with Titanium backup. I ended up just reinstalling them from Market and haven't had issues since. Also, after restoring my contacts with Mobile Backup II, I could not edit them from the phone. Force closes. Had to delete them and re-sync with Gmail and exchange server. No problems after that.
I have flashed Synergy, Swagged Out Stock, SavagedZen, and a few others and always wandered back to CM7. In my experience, whenever you switch ROMs like that, there are always quirks, so I have taken to getting apps one at a time from MyBackup Root when I do switch. And yeah, I have had App conflicts cause forced bootloops before, it is not completely unheard of. I second the notion of installing one at a time, and Market DLing any that force loops. And as always, I reccomend a cache/dalvik/data whipe when switching full roms.

Rooted s8 problem.

Okay i have rooted s8 and running costum rom but i have problems with google apps. If i try to download something from playstore i get different errors like (490,491,403,505 and more) when im using chrome i get ssl errors. And other google apps like youtube is giving me network errors all the time.
Things i have tried : cleaning Google Play services Cache, removing and re-adding google accounts. deleting hosts. file with root explorer. Cleaning cache in twrp. Re-flashing gapps. Re installing stock rom- with odin and smart switch (but stock rom crashes and reboots all time so im unable to use it) I also have tried all costum roms.

Hard to believe the stock rom keeps on crashing just because you rooted, some samsung apps might not work but that's about it. Which roms did you try? Did you try flashing/wiping through twrp rather than odin?
.
Stock rom keeps crashing and rebooting. i did flash stock rom with odin and i tried smart switch too. i have tried all costum s8 roms and flashed them via twrp, i always did a full wipe. Running renovate ice 2.0 atm but having problems with google apps.
Please i still need help
Not too sure but i think i have some hardware problem, if i try recovery via odin my phone updates to 32% and then says erasing... and then it boots but everything crashes. Im able to use costum roms but i still get some crashes and google apps are not working well.
