you could try voodoo. but not all vibrants are supported atm. i.e. my vibrant. basically vibrants with the larger NAND chip is not supported until beta 5 is released. but according to @supercurio(i9000 dev and one of the founders of voodoo) on twitter, team whiskey is working on beta 5 for vibrants.

I have a larger nand and used voodoo with no issues

[Tweaks] Tweakin'

Here are a few tweaks. I take no responsibility, yadda yadda yadda.
All support questions should be directed at the respective dev\s.
Darkyy Ram Booster
FuguTweaks
No2Chem's modified dalvik/libdvm.so
No2Chem's updated bionic
Impaled Keyboard Patch Fix
Increase Read Cache for better SD Card access
Startup script speed tweaks
Anyone who has tried FuguTweaks care to comment on if they noticed a difference by updating app_process and system_server to their 2.3.3 counterparts?

That's a gimmick at best and varies from SD card to SD card. I will not be setting one standard.

It varies greatly, the stock sd seems to work best sometimes at 2048 sometimes at 3072... but either is better than the stock setting of 128 in my opinion...
I'm setting ec05plus at 3072 as a good median for stock sd cards and those who have upgraded

Could anyone consider sharing some feedback on Darkyy's RAM booster mod?
Also if it work's, is this one of the "few tweaks" that's being implemented into the soon SRF 1.2.0?
That tweak is the same as using autokiller memory optimizer correct?

I use it in my unreleased custom rom, it does work, as far as quantifying the actual value... it varies dependent on a lot of things I haven't figured out yet.. but overall there is a general increase in free ram.. and also a snappier feel.. I've also implemented it in ec05plus 1.2 which should be released for testing to a few people in the next 3 to 4 days

Well custodian uses it and says its way better than Darky's ram tweak. So I'm hoping Custodian chimes in to let us know where to get it. Anyhow, its supposed to tweak our Ram/cpu to somehow make it quicker and more responsive. It does the same thing as Darky's ram booster tweak does, just better tweaks, I'm assuming.

Any clue if this will work with SRF 1.1.0?

Running Synergy, and the latest nightlys have been pretty darn fast right out of the box.
I don't think the flashable version works at all, the script never actually shown up in the int.d folder, I had to do it the manual way.

who can give us a great 2.3 kernel?

not CM7,NOT miui,i just need a great 2.3 kernel! Just use for JVS/JVT and so on!
the Talon kernel is good ,but not great ,its color is not good enough, even use by voodoo control, and the battery life is a lit short.
i dont care about the GPS,i just want a more smooth kernel.
---------------------------------------
I can give you two kernels, you can try them.
Explain:
1.GalaxianEE_JVS.tar is i9000's kernel, but you can try it ,just no sound, the other function is ok(not conside GPS).
2.lidroid kernel 1.6 is vibrant's kernel,you can try it,it's a good kernel,but just have 329 RAM.
3. you can use oldin to manage these two kernel. they can be used by 2.34 JVQ/JVS/JVT, just try!

1. Its a kernel from a firmware and base that was not meant for our phones.
2. No kernel is perfect, even if it was made by Samsung themselves.
3. Android kernels are Linux kernels, can only be compiled in Linux and sometimes Mac, never in Windows.
4. Kernel deving can sometimes be hard and frustrating, especially if it was ported from another device. Sometimes the drivers and modules don't work right when they are compiled, causing less than great battery life and some errors. It happens. Its just another side effect when dealing with ports from other phones.

He means that the era of Galaxy S GT-I9000 is OVER!
Now phones come with at least 1.2 GHZ dual core CPUS with more than 1GB amount of RAM meaning:
Better Multitasking
Faster Response
Latest Application support
Please notice:
Today, there is a big gamma of smartphones including android and windows phone devices and because of that some developers moved to other devices.
My advice:
If you want a fast and clean ROM go with stock 2.3.6 version.
Find one that suits your country and needs and install root or buy another phone.
Samsung caused a lot of frustration to many users for not including ICS support and that's why most developers focus on an ICS support and ICS ROMS are known to be buggy and glitchy (no offense meant to anyone).
I can't blame Samsung for not including an ICS port, it's true that ICS require more RAM

Ext SD is only an issue on some ports for our galaxy, if you take all ics roms together, you get a very fast one with bugs only related to Google.
