Bluetooth fix for Senseless builds - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi.
Is there any chance to get a BT fix for Senseless builds and get a battery drain at level of Sense builds?
It's really annoying get 60-70 mA consuption versus 8-9 mA using Sense builds... I hate Sense

[Q] Battery Drainage

Been trying alot of builds recently trying to get reliable gps (+ compass) and decent battery life. I really like MDJ's desire HD build nice gps + nav and best of all loving the new sense interface. But as with a few other builds i have tried recently battery drainage has gone through the roof.
To compare to darkstones desire hd build i get 3-8 mA in standby and i can get around 18-22 hours out of the phone. But most of the recent builds i am only managing 8-10 hours max.
I have tried shubcraft 2.0, the latest hyperdroid, the latest MDJ evo and of course MDJ's latest desire hd. All of which have increased significantly in battery drainage. But when i switch back to an older build battery drainage falls in line again.
Is there something i can do to sort it out? As i see a lot of people report decent battery life whereas my observations are totally the opposite.

looked but can only find everything ive been doing ever since android was first developed for hd2. using winmo battery tweaks, setcpu, turning off all unnecessary wireless (wifi, data, syncs) using a android loader + making sure keypad lights are on. only thing new i found was your post about reconditioning the battery to let it know when it is actually full. none of that addresses the 100+ mA i get in standby and neither does reconditioning the battery.

Gingerbread 2.3 ROM

Hey guys, just wondering what the best Gingerbread ROM is for the HD2.
Thanks.
The one you prefer, after trying all that is available.

Well is there one that stands out above the rest or anything?
I've only found 2 Gingerbread ROMs on here so far.

Then try them and see which one you prefer
i don't know why so much people are asking for the "best" rom, instead of testing them by themself. tastes are different and in case of gingerbread you don't have much options...
i love mdj's gingerbread 1.8a - everything works with awesome speed.

hows your battery life? I've tried ALL of the froyo nands. I've been wanting to switch over to gingerbread but I'm waiting until the major bugs get ironed out. Battery life being the biggest one.

you complain about battery life on ginger bread? for me gingerbread has by far the best battery life. hd roms and builds drained my battery very fast - especially when i'm using the phone a lot. i just flashed 1.8a some hours ago (used 1.5 some time ago), so i can't tell you much about total drain in hours. but from what current widget says, standby drain is 3-4ma.

I'm not complaining about gingerbreads battery life. I was just asking. I haven't run it yet. I've heard that battery life is terrible on it.
I'm using TopiaHD nand (2.2.1) and getting about 2mA standby
As well another concern of mine is TMOUS mms. I do a lot of picture messaging and the blurry MMS kills me. TopiaHD has perfect TMOUS mms.
So with battery life not being terrible on 2.3......last thing is the MMS. Is there any word on that yet?
don't feel attacked by my words. my english isn't good enough to express exactly what i want to
well can't tell you much about mms, since i'm not using it. if you get 2ma on a hd build you should stick with it. i got 3-4ma in standby on gingerbread, compared to hd builds i used before with 5-7ma standby it's a hugh improvement. especially as i said before, it lasts much longer while playing around!
Can the Froyo builds by Parad0XUA or dan1j3l be put on NAND?

you should ask the devs of course.
I'll get on that, also what's the main difference between Froyo and Gingerbread?

[Q] Battery Life in MIUI roms compared to others :S

Over the Last couple of days I have been using the stock MIUI rom, it ran supurb and very fast and stable and with the gingerbread theme for MIUI it looked very nice. And battery life for me was incredable using it normally like I do and at the end of the day maybe be around 55-65% left.
I now have moved onto the CM7 rom as wanted more of a stock like phone and read it is very good but from full battery within an hour it is almost 30% BT is not on as know there is a common no sense rom issue.
Although this is easily fixed by just switching back I wandered if anyone knew any stock like roms with good battery performance? or should I just stick with miui?
Im using a Euro HD2, and think its the 2.15 radio
You are using HTC HD2?

You are using HTC HD2? If yes, it's normal. Almost all android roms draining batteries very quickly... And MIUI drains the battery additionally...
I do realise that the MIUI roms drain the battery lol only at a much slower rate all my question was, is there a stock rom that drains it at a similar rate so it lasts say a days use instead of an hour
Also why are the CM7 mods the worst offenders at the min ?

go to market, and download currentwidget. put the phone on standby (turn off BT and GPS) let it sit for a minute, go to currentwidget and see how many mA is showing. if it's 3-7mA on standby, then it's normal.
You should try get your hands on MDJ's Cyanogen Mod 2.6. I thought that had great battery for a CM7 ROM. You won't find it here on XDA as MDJ's work is banned but a little google should do the try.
It comes with the stock launcher but it's pretty easy to download your preferred launcher.

Best ROM for battery life

Hi, everyone, I've heard the sense based ROMs have better battery life for Desire HD, so anyone knows wich is the best for battery life between:
LeeDroid
CoreDroid
Android Revolution
?
Thank you very much!
Yeah 3 very nice roms.
I think it's a personal journey.
You might try them all and see what you prefer.
Make sure you disable anything you don't need running in the background.
Some other users will know better than me though.
Most users seem to use Android Revolution in the which rom do you have thread.
Maybe because it stays true to the original visual experience.
Hello,
I have tried stock rom, revolution hd and miui.
MIUI has really better battery drain , it has a nice look too.
I think htc sense cause an increase in battery drain.
You get better battery life with MIUI?
Virtuous unity has some pretty good battery life better then android revolution i found for my use.
I have used ARHD (which is good) and a few different CM7 Roms and the best to date is Alienminds CM7 Rom updated with LorD's 6.2 BFS Kernel. I use Juice Defender but leave CPU control to the Rom.
I Put the phone down last night at 11pm with 72% battery and when I picked up at 8am it was...... 72%
I use the mugem 1500ma battery. Part way through the third cycle. I have been trying to go through the 5 cycles quickly but even using the phone solid for 3 hours it only dropped 25%. Screen use over those 3 hours was 93%.
I would, without doubt, recommended this setup.... very happy!

Forgot to say, I also use the puv under volting script with LorD's 6.2 kernel.

I've had great battery life with mike1986's Android Revolution HD 5.2.2 Rom. It's very fast, very smooth, and i've had no problems with it (although a few are reporting wifi connection issues).
I think he's releasing 5.2.3 today/soon which should increase battery life even further! Can't wait!
I'm using Android Revolution HD 5.2.2 and I'm happy about it battery life is ok
I am on Mr.Garak Miui 1.7.22v2 and have no battery drain (on screen off 3-5ma)
I think Doubleshot has a good battery life
Enviado desde mi HTC Desire HD
i have rcmix 1.9 rom + leedroid kernel battery lasts for almost 24h
Same for me
Same for me
+1 for MIUI ROMs. About 1-5mA with screen off
Sent out of my Free Candy Van.
On CM7 RC1 now: much to my surprise, it feels like the battery is doing better than with 7.0.3, though I don't think I can back this up empirically. My battery didn't fare too well with Coredroid V7 or MIUI, though they're both great ROMs.
All in all, pleasantly surprised by how this RC is doing. Keep up the good work everyone!
Cyanogenmod + lord mod kernel + puv script is what is working great for me. Sense roms seem to have quite a bit of superfluous features which cause a bit more drain than aosp roms like cm and miui.
Sent from my Cyanogenmod 7 phone.
ONLY LEEDROID HD gives u sense 3 rosie mods with excelllent battery life.
so, if you like sense 3d rosie, go for leedroid hd and,
if u need only the stock gingerbread rom devoid of sense 3d rosie, go for revolution hd.
the rest roms are laggy or battery sucks.
great
greate post
I have been using Android Revolution HD since 5.1.9 with Sense 3.0 All in one. With medium use (few phone calls, sms, browsing the internet) my battery lasts 24-48 hours. That's good enough for me

[Q] how come all 2.3.5 roms have high display %

how come all 2.3.5 roms whether cm7 or miui have high display usage % showing from the 60% to the 90% even when the device is on standby and before people say its battery display problems phone overheating i can tell u its not. it only happens in 2.3.5 roms mostly eu hd2 ones. american ones dont generally seem to have this problem. yet froyo 2.2.1 roms dont have this high battery drain from display neither sense nor non sense roms. is it the way the devs have squashed or unsquashed the files is it bad display drivers, or the scripts that the devs use?why cant the devs seem to b able to fix this problem? if anyone has abfix for this problem can they reply with link to fix for this as there are some great cm7 2.3.5 roms but with the high battery drain they are useless to use giving only between 4 to 6 hours of use. thank you all devs on xda for making our phones much much better!!

We have users on our SD and nand thread that can go for 24 or greater hours. I am always running my hotspot and use the device a lot....I usually have about 20% by 11pm or so. Those don't don't use the device frequently have reported days between charge.
