Can I set my HTC Desier up so that I can access files on my PC when I'm away?
I would love to be able to store music and films on my PC but listen / watch anywhere.

I use phone mypc. You can download it from the market and use it on three pc's. Also you can move the app to your sd card to use on other phones.

What is "The Cloud?"

Is it dropbox or something like it? Wondering because I am trying to get Android 3.0 music player to sync all my music and it is not working with dropbox (meaning I don't know how to do it).

The "cloud" is the storage of any type of media on an outside storage service that is avail to any computer / phone / internet ready device at any time.
Dropbox is a great example. You can access your media on different devices, change the files, and the changes show on your other devices.
Think of it as wireless sync for files not stored on your phone that you can access anytime.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.
Has anyone tried to sync the Android 3.0 Music Player to Dropbox?

I sync all my pics music and documents to drop box... but I use the dropbox app.
For streaming my own content I use orb to stream from my computer to my phone.

Just a few days after posting this Amazon came out with their own cloud system, its pretty cool. I get 5gb of free storage and my songs from my computer are finally showing up on my phone through the Amazon Cloud Player. I'm happy now.

I am using google music, which is pretty awesome and 100% free
iSyncr from the Play store. I've used it for a while and it works great (Mac and iTunes).
