I did a search of this forum before posting this so here goes.
I have synced my google calendar with my Omnia 7. Is it possible to increase the amount of time it looks for an appointment to show on the homescreen?
My next appointment is Saturday (two days) but it doesnt show up on the tile on the homescreen.
Hi
Seeing as noone has replied to your question I thought I would, as far as i am aware I cannot find a way to increase the amount of days shown on the live tile and mine is synced with windows live.....so i am going to say no you cant sorry

Is there a Today plugin will display the monthly view of a calendar with color coding or other indicators for appointments for each day?
I know rltoday can display a monthly calendar but last I check it doesn't have any way of signifying if there is an appointment for that day.
dunno if I understood your request, but I use SPB Diary
not sure about a plugin that can just display the monthly view... but I do know that tapping the calendar icon in Pocketbreeze will popup a month calendar that shows dots for appointments.
Sorry, that is about as much help as I can be.
SoBBie
PocketBreeze has a 'pinned' calendar and a pop-up calendar. The pinned calendar shows the entire month on the Today Screen, but does not show the appointment timeslots on the calendar.
The pop-up calendar will show the timeslots, but it's only displayed when you select it.
In my screen captures, I have iLauncher at the top and PocketBreeze below.
Most of my appointments are 'free' so they don't display on the pop-up calendar.
Maybe someone in the SBSH PocketBreeze forum will know more about the product. http://forums.sbsh.net/index.php?showforum=7
I am looking for a plugin that displays the monthly calendar with some sort of coding (different color, etc.) that tells me when I have an appointment at a quick glance. But I wanted this on the today screen, without having to press anything to pop up. It doesn't have to show as much detail as that pop up calendar on pocketbreeze, but maybe just to le tme know that I have something going on that day displayed as a different color.
How's your Japanese?
This super-small plug-in does what you want I think. It gives you a calendar on your today screen and adds a plus next to any day you have appointments.
Problem is that it is only in Japanese. However, the options on it are very minimal and if you play with it a little then you can know what all the menus are saying without actually being able to read them.

Double-posted so I'll slide you a screenshot. The screenshot is old, but it works on WM6 - I just tested it.

Anyway to have it translated?
Someone posted earlier an alpha version of a new app they made that I believe is a plugin let me check
Not easily. At least, not easily for me.
Hey guys - possible newbie question! (actually I know it's anewbie question LOL).
I am staring to input dates into the calendar - and for some reason it's only showing me something i have planned for Sunday (future dates) vs some appointments i have current day.
Is there a way to adjust the settings on the today screen so i can see every upcoming appointment on the current day, and futuer appointments?
btw - i did go into the Calendar Personal settings and checked display all upcoming. But it still won't show.
Hi all, I have added friends birthdays as appointments in my calender. They appear in the day view or week view, but not in the month or year view. You have no idea when there is any apopitnments. Is there a way to have say for example the day in bold or a different colour in month and year view?
Also I can not find any place where i can see all my appointmnts? So if i have to look up somoens birthday.. i cant?? If i have to remember what week they are in then go to that week, whats the point. Surely there is a way to see all your appoinments somewhere?
Also what i noticed, is if you complete the birthday field in the contact, thats no use, a it doesnt appear in your calender.. which is strange.. whats the point of having a birthday field, if it doesnt show in the calender?
I have looked at Thembcalc, and although it shows you have something in the month view, you still dont know what. So if I wanted to find out when "Jim's Birthday" is.. i'd have to scroll week by week until I find it. Its not just for birthdays, but any event.. For example you book a concert in advance.. say 3 months in advance.. then you forgot when it is, so you have to find it.. Is there a list or something that you can view all events/appointmenst etc.. sortable by name/date.etc ?
Thanks in advance
Strange, I always get a triangle which indicates there is something at that date in month view, it won't say what it is untill you click on it, but atleast it would show whats on for that month anyway. All day events(like birthdays) is represented as a green square.

if you set the contacts birthday field from outlook (PC), it automatically add it to an appointment...if you do it from PDA it doesn't......very strange....and useless of course to have to set birthday always from PC.....
I have tried adding the birhtday in contacts on the pda, and it hasnt gone into the calender, hence why i added tem as appointments. I dont want to sync it to my home or office pc, as i'd prefer the phone to my my primary organiser. My office has all work related stuff (heaps of stuff), and my home pc is used but my other hals etc, so again has more stuff then just what i need. Oh wells.. i can live with this issue..
however how can i get the list of all the appointments in the calender.. and be able to sort/and search for different fields.. ?
I was very disappointed to see that the android calendar has the same behaviour as the one on windows mobile in that if you change timezones then all your calendar appointments change by the difference between your previous and current timezone. I think this is an insane implementation and can't see any use to it.
It has been raised as an issue on the google android project so if you hate it as much as I do please vote for the issue by starring it and/or leave a comment asking for it to be high priority

I don't understand the problem. The current implementation is exactly right. If the appointment times wouldn't change, your appointment would actually be shifted.
Are you having some special use case for your request?

Say I am sitting here at home in Zurich and I am making entries for a trip to the US in multiple timezones, for each entry I put in my appointment times in local time, say a meeting at 3pm in NY.
I land in NY, take out the phone and it automatically switches to the NY timezone but the calendar is displaying the meeting now as 9am, thats useless, I want it to stick as 3pm, nor do I want to have to check the timezone for NY before I put the appointment in. When I travel I live in local time regardless of what timezone it is.
Same issues
I really have no idea why Google would do this. I mean you are exactly right, I input all meetnig time as timezone specific. Anyone that has any ideas on a solution would be appreciated? Thanks.
What you are supposed to do is create a calendar called "AMerican meetings" and one called "chinese meetings" lets say. the former will be set to former's time zone and the latter as whatever time zone china uses. IN this case when u create an event, it will use whatever is set on the web site/settings as the default for that calendar. BUT, the calendar itself will display whatever is set as the global "local time zone" on both the phone as well as the website (you can use the multiple time zone add on via labs for help with this too)...
Craziest thing
I have the same problem, except it took me an hour to find out what was going on, since I thought it was because of the Daylight Saving Time which just happened yesterday.
So - to reproduce the problem:
1) Set the timezone to TZ1
2) Create calendar event at time HH:MM
3) Set timezone to TZ2
Result - calendar event is shifted.
Whoever implemented this should quit his job and hide in the most forgotten place on earth. I mean - WTF?
I understand SOME use of this - I create a calendar event that I want to share with someone from another TZ, then it should be translated to that TZ, but again - WTF??
Most of the users need just this: I create an event - a flight schedule for coming back from vacation. I create it before going on vacation, then I go on vacation and change the TZ. On the return day my alarm will ring x hours after the intended time (if vacation place is eastwards) or x hours before if vacation place is westwards. INSANE
What's even more insane is how people suggest solutions like creating two separate calendars and so on.
Come on, as one guy was saying here:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Calendar/thread?tid=7ee74ad36e5b62fa&hl=en
"How hard could it be to just have the option to allow my 3pm appointment stay 3pm on my calendar no matter where I am? Come on Google!"
Here's someone who almost missed his flight

Hi, have tried to search for this, but to no avail. Does anyone know of a way to extend the warning in manila of upcoming calendar events from 1 day as it stands to say 3 days? The standard windows homescreen shows events for the upcoming week but its only one day in manila. Anyone any idea?
I would like this as well, I have an appointment Wednesday but won't be able to see it on HOME TODAY screen till tomorrow, ideally I would like to see the next appointment.
