Are you using default apn settings? if so try this. Add to the server portion internet2.voicestream.com
once thats done save it than register on the tmobile network by going to network operators in the previous menu.
works for me I get lightning fast response from youtube vids 100% h service 24/7 and pic msgs up to 2 mb come in within 3 seconds.

I don't know if that was the reason, but i have noticed, if i turn wifi off i can send mms. with wifi enabled i my android hd2 is not sending any mms. maybe this might be a workaround for the mms problem on the hd2 running android.

This worked brilliantly. MMS is sending super fast. I really appreciate it! Thanks everyone for the quick responses! Problem solved. These are the apn settings I am using:
Name: T-mobile US
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Server: internet2.voicestream.com
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: Not set

lol glad to help. a tmobile rep told me to add this on my windows rom. she was too dumb to realize I said I was running android and didn't realize I admitted to flashing a custom rom and I lost all my data info. she just straight gave it to me. you can also do internet3.voicestream.com but it's not as fast as far as I can tell.

Hey guy try the above stated. it worked for the other guy. just add internet2.voicestream.com to your server spot in your apn setting. after you save that apn click back and then go to network operators then register on tmobile network to make sure it notices your settings on their end.

I used these settings but I am still getting generic network failure on sending mms and receiving. It worked on the mccm 1.5 build but not on the 1.6. I also updated my kernel to the 8.5.1 but still no go

read the change log for 1.6 and 1.5 see what was added to 1.6
pinpointing that would help you figure out what is stopping you. it's not your apn settings it's something with the rom

MMS on QTek S110

Hi there.
I've got a QTek S110 (as title) on O2 UK, and I'm trying to set up MMS messaging. I've spent quite a bit of time searching these forums and google, and although I've had a little success, it's still not working properly. The situation is this:
I can successfully configure the device to send MMS messages, and this works fine. The problem I currently have is with the receipt. If I'm connected to the O2 Wap GPRS connection I have set up for MMS, which sends the messages, then I usually can receive messages I send to myself from another phone. However, if this connection is not active, then the messages just get lost. I'm not notified at all that a message was incoming, and even if I manually connect the device, the message is not received. I never have any knowledge of its passing.
Can anyone help me with this? I'm beginning to go mad, I think...
Have you tried the original O2 MMS cab file from the ext-rom? You can find them on the ftp.

I hard-reset my device last night when trying to get it to work, and it didn't configure, so I guess the CAB isn't built into my rom. Could you give me a bit more guidance on the FTP server, I'll take a look myself, but not really sure what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the response.
I got kids, so I say: chips there's no UK O2 ext-rom uploaded on the ftp.
But I found you this:
Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (pay-as-you-go customers)

In connections, I have:

In tasks, I have
'O2 MMS Test' Is my connection

I have also, under the proxy tab, got
This network connects to the internet: checked
Uses a proxy server: checked
Advanced->
-- HTTP: 193.113.200.195 port 8080
I set this proxy as it allows me to access the internet through this connection; it doesn't seem to affect the MMS operation.
In MMS settings, I have:
Prefs:
Connect via: O2 MMS Test (the connection I set up)
Retrieve message immediately: checked
Ok to download when roaming: checked
Save sent messages: checked

Rereading your first post & adding up your last comments, I'm beginning to think to network screws up in this case. Either it doesn't register you as being offline, or it can't store & forward the MMS for you.
Maybe O2 themselve can help you in this, I don't think your device is incorrect configured.

I had similar issues with my S100 on Orange. I could send MMS to anyone but the only MMS I could received were if I sent them to myself. I think I've finally cured the problem with the latest T-Mobile MMS client.

So you're using different software for the MMS? Could you direct me to where I could download this/how to set it up.
Thanks

On the FTP
Copy the downloaded CAB file to your S110 and run it to install. MKae sure your messaging app is closed first though! If your wallpaper messes up once you've installed it just reset your wallpaper again.

The application is the same as the one packaged with the phone, just a newer version; so yes is the answer, it should work with austrian phones.
After logging on the ftp it tells me "file not found" ? btw: the app was made for s110 and mine is an s100 does that matter ?

That link still works for me, and it should be fine on an s100; there's not much difference between the two.

Hi guys I'm having a hard time connecting to the internet on my htc fuze. I just bought a brand new htc fuze off ebay and successfully unlocked it. Ive tried manually putting in the Rogers settings but it doesn't really work that well. Has anybody got their fuze to work on the Rogers network?
Any help would be much appreciated

I haven;t done it on the Fuze (yet - its in the mail!)
But on the Elf/Touch that I;m currently using just doing the internet.com settings was enough to get me going.
One thing though... is the one you bought actually the "HTC Fuze" (RAPH110) or was it a "Touch Pro" (RAPH100)?
The RAPH100 is the euro model and uses different frequencies for its UMTS antenna, which basically means you wouldn't be able to do 3G/HSDPA

Not sure if you're asking me or the OP, but I grabbed the actual Fuze that AT&T carries. Got in unlocked and the 3G feels faster than my iPhone. This could just be the placebo effect mind you. lol
Thanks for the replied guys I'll let you know how I get on.
My girlfriend also has an htc fuze but she flashed it the Romeos rom and everything works flawlessly. Maybe that's the way to go.

Can you add in the percentage for the battery meter? Or is there a way I can add that myself??
Percentage can be added under the cyanogenmod settings in the settings panel
You will find this under ui/status bar.

Alright guys first post. I downloaded the build and surprisingly everything seems to be going pretty smoothly. I have been running only Droid for about 2 days and the only problems I have had are not bring able to connect to my data service and GPS not working and wifi as well. But the problems seemed to just currect themselfs. I am writting this post from my phone. Its the HTC hd2 running Droid 2.2 radio version 2.08.0 I believe. Ill post the rest of my phones specs in case anyone is interested and also ill post a video of me using it so people can see how well its working. I can even install apps directly from the market. The only slight problems I still have are an ocassional freeze or studer. And also the rotation of the screen lags a bit longer than I believe it should. Oh and also it takes about 1. Minute to receive a good accuracy with GPS enabled programs like Google maps. PM me if you would like help. Ill do my best yo answer your questions on how I solved some of my issues when using Droid on the hd2. Oh and sorry if I posted in the wrong thread. I just thought this was the best one to post in.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Sorry I forgot to say that I am running froyo.
Droidx? Is this the build of Droidx mobile. Can u send me the link to download the build. Did I need to change my radio version in order to run this.
Thanks in advance

O2 MMS Problem

I'm having issues sending & receiving MMS messages. The data connection works fine for browsing, and the APN settings are the ones from the O2 website (although I've tried several combinations from Google).
Same problem on both PPP and RMNet on michy's r11 and PPP on hastarin 7.2, can't figure it out. I've spent hours on Google and have search XDA, and can't get anywhere.
I've even tried using the Google DNS & O2 DNS servers to no avail.
I've included a logcat of what happens when I try to send an MMS in case it helps.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.
We have 2 HD2s on O2, happens on both.
MMS works fine in WinMo.

Well it definitely shouldn't be in the SERVER slot, that's part of your issue and you will receive errors regarding the lack of connection. It's trying to connect to something it's not supposed to want to connect to.
You have a choice of the following:
Data Bearer:
GPRS
Access Point Node (APN):
wap.o2.co.uk (contract)
payandgo.o2.co.uk (PAYG)
User ID:
o2wap (contract)
payandgo (PAYG)
Password:
password
Authentication
Normal
Gateway
193.113.200.195
MMS Message Server
http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
ENSURE there is a tick only in the MMS box.
I have tried to setup MMS in my network settings and failed, although it can be done. You should end up with two APN's, one is "default, supl" and the other is "mms".

I don't get a failed connection error. In fact I note that when I click send it disconnects from data connection then reconnects (i presume to the mms settings) it seems to show data upload and download but after a couple of minutes I get a "failed to send message after multiple attempts error"
It's just a wild guess, but I had problems with sending MMSes (while being sure that all carrier APN's settings were correct), when MMS Size setting was set to higher values than 300 KB. Although my problems were only with sending MMSes - I could receive them without any problems.

Seems this was the problem. Cheers.

Working MMS APN settings for HD2 Android

Before I begin, let me quote infinitybiff when I say, "You likely voided your warranty long ago. So if your phone explodes.... not it."
I recently came across a different forum that had a user that claimed these apn settings worked on his device, (it wasn't an HD2, but I had to try it) Afterwards, I attempted to send a MMS message that was almost 300kb, and it sent in less than 2 seconds on HSDPA. I also used the Xtremelabs speedtest app and scored 2328.8 Kbits/s max download, and 480.1 Kbits/s upload. On Wi-fi I only scored 1342.6 Kbits/s max download, and 271.6 Kbits/s upload.
I tested this on both Darkstones latest Froyostone sense v3.2, and BiffMod HD2 v1.1 vanilla froyo.

As far as I can tell, APN Type is possibly what fixes this problem.
The orange text says EDGE, but it is actually HSDPA/HSPA+, whichever its supposed to be.
The white text underneath is the Wi-Fi here in my house, from Time Warner Cable.
EDIT: Working MMS settings for Netcom Norway thanks to Exlo for this http://bit.ly/hlUHBO
Guys, if you have any other carriers, besides T-Mobile, or AT&T, let me know and i will update the post.
it works for mms (for me) but how is the stability of the connection? does it still drop a lot? wasn't sure if that was the apn's fault or ppp.

The stability is directly related to ppp, the apn just determines how it goes through t-mobiles servers. Try using BiffMod HD2 v1.1, havent had a single ppp data disconnect yet.
The main problem with MMS on sense builds is when receiving the MMS, it will be compressed to 3-4Kb because of the Desire user agent being used.
AFAIK, the APN settings won't prevent that. So while these setting may allow sending MMS fast, they won't fix the compression issue.
Also, I believe using proxys may prevent some websites from displaying correctly.

Try InfinityBiffs BiffMod HD2 v1.1 and see if MMS works for that. I didnt realise till later that the MMS was still messed up for froyostone sense v3.2. It still works for me on BiffMod.

No problem dude, I'm glad I was finally able to contribute something to XDA.
I used these settings on the FroyoSense v3.2 and, my MMS is working as long as it isn't connected to WiFi.
Other than that it works like a charm.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the MMS over WiFi working? Or is it not supposed to work that way?

Thank you soooo much, these exact settings fixed my mms issue with HD2Froyo v3 !!!!!!!!!!!
I believe the MMS Proxy IP should be 216.155.165.50
That is the IP I got from the T-Mobile support site, since it's working for some it makes me wonder if MMS is not being pushed through the proxy at all.

Oh, before I forget, I already posted this on kingxklick.com, but it seems like the HD2 forums are dead over there except for infinitybiff.
