[Q] Desire Z keyboard and Japanese input - G2 and Desire Z General

Hi guys,
I am a long term WinMo user (actually still using my HTC Magician Win 2003!!) but am about to step up to Android with the Desire Z.
I am hoping someone here will have already installed Simeji or maybe used JMaurice's or BeeGee_Tokyo's ime to install Japanese. Can anyone tell me if the hard keyboard is supported with any of these?
Thanks for any help

I have simeji on my Moto Milestone and it works great, just need to open the virtual keyboard to switch it from eng to kana then can type like usual.

thanks man for the reply. Sorry I didn't reply earlier, never got the email notification that someone had responded.
again thanks

I'm thinking to buy a Tatto but I would like to know if Simeji Japanese input works on it. It should be available in the app store. If somebody could please test this for me.

[Q] HTC Desire Z and Arabic support

Guys I'd like to ask if there any Arabic support for the Desire Z ?
And could I use the Arabizer for Desire (Without Z) to the Desire Z ?
And is that mandatory to root the Froyo 2.2 to Arabize it ? and if yes how can I do it ? I'm sooo new to Android and I really need help
NB: I'm looking for the Arabic support only not to Arabize the menu and the programs names... thank you guys
I once read that it's possible to download any locale from Marketplace, but I don't know any more details.

any recommendation for a reliable lite arabizer? program name or program to avoid?
would be appreciated....
Hello guys,
I have the desire z with arabic fonts but everything in arabic shows wrong (disconnected letters) very annoing and hard to read. I found some soft keyboards on market but nothing mentioning arabic fix for reading. Anyone know how to fix this for froyo? Great phone but need to fix this arabic reading issue.
Any help will be appreciated.
I tried anysoftkeyboard i think it's called, but all it does is give you the option of an onscreen keyboard with the built in font. It doesn't connect the letters, i don't want to type arabic, i just want to be able to read it properly on my phone without having to root or alter the OS. the phone is great very fast, apart from this issue i love it.
Will this be fix in the next android version? do you guys think we'll be getting the update as well from HTC?
I am patientely waiting for Android's software Engineeres to connect the Arabic letters...
Other than that I love my Desire Z over my SGS.
Cheers
for sms -only- download Mirsal from market
yep, Mirsal does the trick for sms.
problem persists for emails and browsing etc.
there are no arabisers like in winmo.
I tested the new Desire HD being sold in the middle east and it comes preloaded with full arabic support froyo 2.2! Same with the Galaxy Tab. The interface can be english with full support of arabic text in sms, email and browser.
Now my questions, am i stuck with no official arabic support as my unit came from EU? is there a way to flash an arabic rom when available without losing the ability to receive official updates in the future?
Basically, i just want to be able to read proper arabic test on my phone.
I have all sorts installed but still my contacts (i.e. when people ring) are displayed in broken text... oh well. there is an arabic ROM package but it costs £3.60!
You can use persian browser to read arabic connected letters

Sense Keyboard on HyperDroid

Hi all
Sorry for the english i'm a french ( newbie )
Is it possible to have the HTC SENSE keyboard on the HyperDroid ROM ( Last version 12/04/11 ) ?
Thank you in advance
I have tried all kind of keyboards, but maybe you didn't know this. SlideIt from the Market, you don't type you just slide along the letter which make typing obsolete. It's like Swype if you ever heard of it. Anyone that use SlideIt or Swype never gone back to any regular keyboard. It's a paid app, but 100% worth it.
I have tried Swype..... and I hate this kind of Keyboard !!
Sorry Capt.PP, thank you anyway for your answer
Should be found XDA developer who has found a way to put the Android HTC Sense keyboard on a no sense ROM ... =D
Fingers crossed!

Do not know there is no way to be ported to HTC phonetic input method on the CM?
Want to use CM2.3, but no phonetic input method not used HTC
Hope there are ways to use, thank you for help
I am assuming by phonetic input, you mean keyboard. If that's the case, you can get it here, it works fine with CM7:

First, you know that there is an Arabic keyboard that comes with this rom, right? If not, its pretty good. Try it out.
Regarding smart keyboard, first step is to enable smart keyboard in settings and then long press in a text editor area and change the input method. Did you miss any of these steps by any chance?
