Hey guys! I recently installed applied the one click lag fix form the market to my vibrant and after reboot I noticed that my 3g data service is now gone. My phone no longer has access to data, not even edge. Has anyone else had this problem? And how do I fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just restore back to your pre-lag fix state through clockworkmod / rom manager using the nandroid backup that you made just before applying the lag fix. Reboot. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, I didn't do a nandroid backup before applying the lag fix
I'm sorry for being a noob at this lol
I tried uninstalling the lag fix but it didn't seem to restore anything.....is there any other way for me to regain the 3G signal?
Try turning flight mode off and on

Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong area or if it has been answered, i've tried searching and nothing specific to this shows up.
I've just flashed my radio and rom to Cyanogen nightly 08202010 and everything is going well and looks good but how can I get all my backed up data and apps from my card that I backed up prior to the flash?
I've went into recovery and it all seems there but I need a way of getting it onto the phone from the card without screwing anything up.
First time doing this as you can tell.
Thanks for any help in advance,
Paul.
What backup programme did you use?

Thanks for replying mate. Used an app called MyBackup from the market. It allowed me to backup data and apps to my SD.
I've since learned that nandroid is a very good system, I found that on the recovery screen after I'd flashed my rom.
Any help is well appreciated.
Paul.
My market just displays "starting dowload" indefinitely when i try to download anything. And my google talk closes the instant that it opens. Any ideas on a fix?

Have either of you done a titanium backup?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I had that problem yesterday I had to un-root the phone I can't post the URL but you can find the thread in the 2nd page of fascinate and devlopement forum
it was the only solution I found and it helped
Im Having the same problem. Happened after flashing JT's clean ROM.
It's from restoring apps with Titanium Backup. For whatever reason, whenever I do this, it breaks my market no matter what ROM and whether I have Voodoo or not. Restore to stock, re-root, and everything, and you need to restore every app manually.
I did not use Titanium Backup.
I posted a new thread about this, seemed to work for me and a few others I tried. Check "for anyone having market issues"
Been having the same problem. I used titanium to freeze then defrost Market. Then did the same thing to Market Updater. Market works perfect now, but it reverted from the Froyo version back to Eclair. But it's better than not working at all.
Promise this will work. Just go to titanium and click on Market and then click Wipe Data. Do the same with Market Updater. All will be fixed.

Thanks for the idea.
Got anymore? Did this, and the thread mentioned above and no change.
I will have to try reverting to eclair if i can't get this working. Argh

This is an old issue, with several things to try.
I would first suggest looking through your application list and uninstalling any 0.00 sized files left as ghosts of apps manually removed. There will possibly be other smallish sized files left behind as well if you can identify them.
Force stop and clear market cache
Boot into recovery, clear cache and reboot.

I tried everything you just said above exactly. It still has the same result: "Starting Download" indefinitely.
I also tried using Titanium Backup to wipe data for market and market updater, but that didn't work either. I'm pretty frustrated that I can't figure this out
Got a solution. I was having the same problem with my Evo. Go to applications, then go to installed on sd. Move everything over to the phone. Then go to all applications and clear cache/data/and force stop it. That did the trick. You can move everything back to sd card after it fixes the market issue and it shouldn't happen again.

Uninstalling the froyo market and reverting back to the 2.1 market resolved this issue for me on 2 phones ... Mine and the wifee.
I had this issue, and I found out something peculiar. I was running JT's Super Clean rom with Market 2.2 and a Voodoo kernel, and the Factory Reset ran, but did not actually reset anything. After turning Voodoo off, I was able to Factory Reset, which fixed the Market issues.
Same thing here...
I was having this issue as well. Had to install JT Clean rom w/ wiping cache and data. Tried every suggestion in the book but none fixed it but wiping cache and data and installing JT Clean Rom.

So last night I used the flashable .zip to install HKTW 2.3.4 and then realized there was no fix for mobile data, at least not one that I can find to work. The data issue is the only reason I dont want the HKTW 2.3.4 right now, until I can flash it with fastboot. So, today, I restored back to 1.83 via CWM. Everything seemed to go great until my touch screen didnt work. I then had to flash back to the HKTW 2.3.4. Has anyone else had this problem? I would rather fix the data issue on 2.3.4 and run that if it is possible to fix the flashable .zip. If not, I would rather go back to 1.83. I dont have a PC that I can use right now, so any suggestions will have to be attempted completely on the phone. Also, I have the N_01.97.00R Radio installed, if that makes a difference.
Thank you all in advance!
I had the exact same problem. I believe the issue has to do with the older cwm not restoring your pds. I ended up having to flash the full 1.8.3 signed sbf to fix mine. The updated cwm has a pds backup and restore on it now so once you get it fixed, you should be able to recover like you did and it work. But for now your stuck flashing a full sbf.

I flash with CM recovery and it doesnt matter what i tried, i can't get the cellular data to work. I use fastboot to install gingerbread and everything work.
Hey guys. I've read that this is a common issue. I am rooted and stuck on 3.26 and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to get it to update. It starts to download 4.08 but it doesn't reboot after I hit install. I read about loading stock roms but I'm not sure if I can do that being flashed to Straight talk. Anything will be appreciated! Thanks.

Well you should be able to flash any rom you want. Service and data settings are stored deeper than roms reach. The only way those settings will get wiped out is if you do a factory reset from hboot, or from the storage and sd menu within the os. If something at the os level is required, you can just backup before hand, and then restore if somethimg dosent work. You should just be able to flash the stock 4.08.605.15 rom in the dev section right over 2.2 without wiping anything if you want to stay stock.
The ota will not install because you are rooted. For it to imstall you must be unrooted and complete stock.
That being said i do not have straight talk, so i dont know all the details. You could use QPST http://dinc.does-it.net/QPST/ to backup all those settings to a file on your pc, and then restore them if something ever goes wrong.
Thanks so much! If I have any other questions when I do this can I PM you?

Sure no problem. I would definitley setup qpst and backup your service and data settings, and do a nandroid before doing anything.
How hard was it to get data working when you flashed it to straight talk, i heard that was the trickiest part? I am thinking of doing this my self. Verizons new plan just sucks for a 1 phone plan.
I didn't do it myself. I get all my phones from a guy that flashes them to ST and the data works perfectly . If you can figure it out or find someone who can its definitely worth it.

Just hook it up to qpst or cdma and you can get all the settings you need easy as 1 2 3
Hi,
After upgrading to KitKat and a custom ROM I have been having multiple issues with sensors. I have factory reset several times and clean flashed a few different ROMs but with the same result. The sensors do initially work but then just suddenly stop for no apparent reason.
I have also restored from my efs backup but this has not helped.
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
Any help, please?
I would suggest going back to pure stock 4.2.2 off samimobile first the full reset from Samsung recovery and wipe. You don't mention which custom roms ? Try that first though... Let me know !!
Full wipe your phone in recovery System, firmware,... Etc then reboot directly from CWM recovery in advance settings to download(odin mod) and flash the stock ROM.
make sure you back up everything.
Hope it helps

Hi,
Did as both of you suggested but the problem still occurs. This is on X-note but also occurred on Omega. At a bit of a loss here as reverting to stock doesn't seem to help. I flashed the UK 02 rom as EE have not released 4.4.2 yet.
Any further suggestions?
Cheers

For me disabling media scanner did the trick, had the same problems, and I use tasker to disable media scanner when screen turns off, never had a problem since.

Thanks . Tried that and for the moment sensors seem okay. Although now my wifi won't toggle on/off. Tearing my hair out here - grrrr!!!:crying:
Can this be done via Titanium backup or no? thx
