Thanks !
Of course, why didn't I thought of Sound menu ...

Easy to miss. But in the world of HTC, vibration is always a kind of sound...

Even though I dont own an HD2 (yet).. try going in settings tab then down the bottom choose "menu/all settings", then choose personal, then phone and sellect keypad "off".. take care
Thank you, that worked (can't believe I missed it).
no worries... Its easy to get lost some times in wm, even more so when this is masked by htc sense ui
Great, thanks for the tip! I thought I had been through all sub-menus but I somehow missed the "Personal" one

I know there are some things that I just missed that were staring me right in the face ...
Anyone know how to disable this through the registry? I'm trying to sort this out when XDA_UC runs.
I flash A LOT and it's a pain to do this every single time.
EDIT: Got it

Temporary fix to the Notification sound not going off. :)

Hey... I don't know if anyone has posted this here before but I found a fix to it although it's temporary (kind of). So basicly when texting I'd send my message then go to the home screen and turn the screen off, but doing that means it won't notify you to tell you you've got a new text, eg. through sound, vibration or in the status bar so I started trying somethings after each text I sent and it turns out all you need to do to make it notify you is after exiting to the home screen, just open and close the app draw Simples
Well it works for me anyway
Thanks but the???? Lol aghast you guys and your unrooted phones lol

Aha.. Yeah hopefully

idea for led notification.

Hi all i just had an idea for all the people that want a led notification when they miss a call or get and email, fb notification , twit anything really.
You could have the two led back and menu buttons flash when the phone is in standby, letting you know there is a notification waiting that you have not seen since the last your phone was on.
Now i don't know how to do this but i put the idea out there for devs could be some thing useful for some people?
What you are looking for is bln (backlight notification) which needs to be baked into the kernal. There was a thread about it in the dev forum. Seems to have died though.

Hi,
with the Omnia 2 we had the same problem. Somebody solved it this way!
Perhaps something like this is possible on S2, too?
Rgds
Agreed..Only needs to be a soft pulse to notify the end user

Yep, that's what the OP needed, a battery-draining solution NOTHING like what s/he had suggested...

+1.. Use NoLed , its an awesome app , but I always check my phone so I dont need any of these apps xD
Since noled keeps phone cpu in awake state, its non comparable to button light kernel hack (which causes almost no battery usage change at all, like on phones with dedicated notification leds)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yeh that's why i made the suggestion so that your screen is not on awake.
Having the menu button and back button to be personalized "like missed call for menu and back for sms " . This would be good i think
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Funny because I was thinking of the lack of notification today, but want something different. I would like the led to light up like a heart beat when connected to usb charger. I simply hate that I can't see if my device is charging in the car.. how does this sound?

[Q] Irritating short touch vibration

Its called haptic feedback and its there for a reason but if u want to remove it just go into ur settings -> sound&vibration (or something like that, it could be different, depends what ROM ur using) then you should see "haptic feedback"...just disable it

Vibrate every 45 seconds.

Hey guys,
I recently updated from ColdFusionX to the latest build of KonstaT's 4.2.1 but I can't find the option of "Vibrate every 45 seconds" during calls. Since I am billed by my service provider on a minute-to-minute basis, that 45 second vibration que every minute really helped me control my phone bills
I literally searched EVERYWHERE in the settings but I can't find it
Can you guys tell me where that option is in this KonstaT's build ?
Thanx a lot in advance for any info
Yeah, go to Dialer, press menu to show the hidden settings, press it and it should be there.
