Did you factory reset in setting>privacy>factory data reset?
Also, wipe dalvik cache in recovery too if you didn't already.

yes i have tried every kernel that i know of, stock and stupid fast 1.5.4
Perhaps wipe data/cache, and try to reflash DJ05

My friend had same problem. Its not the update its your rom/lag fix. Whenever he reverts back to stock everything is fine. Im FULLY stock and everything works perfect.
Try reverting your phone back to stock to see the difference.
I know this is an older thread, but I recently had this issue randomly happen to me and found an answer in another xda forum and figured I'd share what I found:

I just updated my aria to the latest 2.2 liberated Rom. I installed it this morning and now just realized it said to wipe data before I installed it. But I didn't. I just plain out installed it. It seems like its running fine. But what do I do? Do I still need to wipe data or something?

If it were me, I would do a backup and wipe it then re-install, but If you are not experiencing any issues, then it does not seem like you need to. If you do encounter any issues, Then definitely do it.
No need to wipe data if you are going from a liberty to liberty, if you went to liberty to cm6 then yes you would need to wipe data..

Don't think too complicated for this, if you don't have problem, then let it be.
To tell you to wipe, is to lower the chance to have problem.
It's just same as upgrading/change of different OS of you PC.
e.g. One maybe painless from XP -> Vista without format, the other maybe turns out blue screen.
Seems dependent on each unique setup and connected tower.
Try fix permissions in cwm. Works for a lot.
Update profile and prl, odin a new modem, wipe cache and dalvik, try reset dialer code.
Comment your status. Try to send and receive.
I can send but can't receive. Idk if it's EE03 or my EB13 modem that's causing it though =\

Thanks. I would thank you but my limit is up. I'll do it tomorrow.
Edit: How long does this take?
Down in TN too. Wish I tried that fix permissions thing before wiping my phone. It wouldnt boot when I tried to restart it to fix the txting thing
EE03 w/ EE03 modem.
Sending and receiving are just fine in Northern Indiana (South Bend to be exact).
Hope this helps
SMS working fine here (Indiana).
Fixing permissions didn't work!
Is it because I accidentally clicked "Reboot Recovery" after it finished Fixing the Permissions instead of Reboot system? Btw, when I hit reboot recovery, the text turned blue! Did I lose my CWM!?

Fixing permissions didn't work for me...it has to be by modem not agreeing with EE03 or something. ED12 could send and receive texts fine...ever since flashing EE03 I can't receive any. Please be my modem...I really don't want to have to re-flash...

installed last night, no issues other than the xda app isn't listed in the market while searching on the device. no idea why, just found/installed an apk.
Xda for some reason has been removed from the play store temporarily. Search forums for more on this

I downloaded it from the CM site and installed it this morning ... ADW kept force closing and the ROM was ultimately unusable. I went back to the nightly and everything is working well.

Have had no problems with this build at all. Did you do a full wipe prior to flashing? (And I don't mean just a fastboot -w or wiping Dalvik, userdata, and cache).

No, I assumed that a full wipe wasn't necessary if going from a nightly.

Sometimes you are just better off doing a full wipe as a sanitary precaution.
Updated earlier. Didnt wipe. Absolutely no problems. I actually never wipe from one version of CM to the next. I guess that's probably not a good thing. But, I've never had any problems.
I ran a full wipe and am loving the update so far

Ok I can't find anything to answer this question. Therefore I am asking, because I just don't believe this has been asked be4. I am running Revolution HD 6.3.1. My phone(HTC INSPIRE 4G) sometimes just slows down to a halt. It started about a week ago. I have uninstalled a good many apps, and cleared plenty of space. Prior to rooting, and flashing I had this problem and restoring to factory setting fixed this. Ok now that I've explained that, the Rom(as stated above) I'm on has the option to do this. I want to know if I do this if it will "restore back to just flashed condition" although it says factory condition, but Is a flashed ROM. Will it just simply put, brick my device, or reinstall the Rom as if I had just flashed it. Thanks ahead of time.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda app-developers app
Ir you factory reset the phone you will get stuck in the splash screen. If you want to go back to stock, the restore a backup from CWM or flash a stock Rom from CWM. Factory reset does not work in custom roms...
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda app-developers app
Thanks for that response. I'm not interested in stock at all. I just wanted to know if it would work. Root and flashed Roms are always smoother, even if some of them have bumps. Truthfully I'm waiting on a RC Rom from Existz, as I just want a stock android experience

In CWM wipe data and cache and it should be some sort of factory reset.

Hi,
I'll just get right into it. Since I flashed Vaniraosp rom I've been seeing this red frame/border whatever you wanna' call it, I disabled strict mode and rebooted, updated the rom and reflashed but none solved the problem. I've been told that factory resetting would fix this but I don't want to lose my data.
Any help would be appreciated, thx.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough. What I meant by "reflashed" is that I reflashed the rom after backing up my stuff, (which also didn't work). I just though about totally factory resetting, like also wiping out the internal storage.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
No need to apologize.
You could try doing a full wipe from recovery. If that doesn't work, may a complete flash back to stock and then re-flash the custom rom.
