Hi all!!
Has anyone experienced that situation? Crazy touch screen o death is when my phones' touchscreen start to work on its own.. without anyone touching it.. it's pretty strange.. i have it on both winmo and android and its pretty frustrating, because it makes the touchscreen unusable. It's like having a computer virus.. you can't do anything because the phone decides what he wants to open and what to do I first though that this problem occurs because my TS is dirty.. but after several clean up procedures it the old damn thing

btw i didnt have any aligment issues before like other people have exerienced. thanks for any help you can provide
SOLVED
i found the answer. Remote Screen Alignment software its a wonderful tool and its free. google it to find the program and if you are having issues with your screen aligment i think its worth the try.
ok guys actually two problems here:
1. my wizard works fin no problems at all until i go to use the keyboard for txting or emailing, sometimes its ok other times the screen goues fuzzy and then a lot of lines appear?? any ideas is it hardware or software problem??
2. ive recently tried flashing a new rom to my pda actually a few bu everytime i flash its the same rom that comes up as before ive hard reset after flashing also soft rest but its still the same rom any ideas?
Have you CID unlocked your device?
I'm having the exact same problem with my keyboard, although it doesn't *only* happen with the keyboard. Every now and then--more and more often now--the device just stops responding for five or ten seconds, and then the lines appear, and the screen fades completely white after a few more seconds. Sometimes it reboots itself, but not always. It never responds to any input after that.
It really sounds like a hardware problem to me, but I have no idea what to do to fix it. A friend of mine who is very much into (read: addicted to) ROM flashing said that a re-flash would solve the problem, and suggested I go back to an official ROM first, just to be safe. I did exactly that, and it did nothing at all to help the symptoms. I've gone so far as to start using a Blackjack II for the moment, because I can't deal with my phone locking up randomly all the time. Any help would be very appreciated.
I too have a similar problem, except its just with my screen that occassionally i get lines down the screen then it fades to white, putting it into standby and back on again gets the screen back. My device still responds however.
Sounds like hardware issue. I have come across quite a few threads with similar problems
yes my device is cid unlocked i used to have no problem flashing roms but now it just doesnt happen all it does it resets the standard rom and all the tmobile gumf loads up
**also does anyone know how to get rid of the tmobile stuff permanently?
Hi everyone
I have a problem with my hd. It starts yesterday. My touchscreen is responsing randomly. I explain, when I touch anywhere on the screen, the only thing that happens is the backlight switching on. The four keys on the bottom of the screen are not responding too.
I dont know, if it is a hardware or a software problem. I hard reset my phone, but same thing. Does anyone get an idea?
Thanks for your answers.

Hey!
Im having this exact same problem at the moment. Started a few days ago but kept coming back on, but now, 3 days later the screen is totally unresponsive. Im pretty sure its a hardware problem because I have hard reset it too, but now I can not even get it past the alignment screen.
Really hope someone knows whats going on with our phones so we can fix them!

Someone has an idea? or i have to bring it to get it repair. Guess i have no choice....
search back through these pages and you'll see this happening to alot of people, me included, check the stats under my name and all posts under my name, and you can read some of my long winded descriptions of the issue, if you can manage to put the stock ROM back on there, I would !!, and try for a warranty fix, or else (like me) you are on your own....., I was without a way to flash stock ROM back, so as it stands now, I've got a HD, sittin at home for parts, I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard, as some people have suggested, there are screens available on ebay but no motherboards..... so I'm screwed...., good luck !!
I have been using Ultimate Droid 3.2.5 for a couple of months now and a few days ago i pick up my phone to make a call and the screen doesn't respond when I touch the screen. Only the bottom buttons and volume buttons work. At first, if i I play with the buttons at the bottom i can usually get the touch screen to repond. I tried to wipe data/dactory reset and reinstall rom but now I cant even get it to work like before. Only thing I can do now is answer calls and call back the last person that called me. Has anyone else had this problem?PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!
Did you eventually find out what cause this issues?
I think my phone is behaving similar, I'm using different Android ROMS for quite a while now, and suddenly without any apparent reason the touchscreen isn't responding very often after waking up the screen. It won't happen if the screen is on and the touch screen is working, only after a wakeup..
Sometimes it's just impossible to get it working again, and I'm forced to wait a while until it decides to respond again. It kinda feels like the phone is forgetting to wake or initialize the touchscreen properly.
ROM and Kernel changes didn't solve this so far.
I think the issues originally started with Typhoons CM7 NIGHTLY 3.7.1 / tytung 12.4v3 for me.
Actually I never found out what the problem was. I just flashed it back to stock and had T-Mobile send me another one. That was in May and actually a few days ago it happened to my phone again. So this time they sent me an HD7. It really sicks that they dont have that phone anymore. Cant do sh*t with this HD7!
Same here the Power Button is the problem, you just have to train yourself not to use it. I use Button Savior and Button Remapper. On my second HD2, luckily T-Mobile sent me a HD2, but that was in like March, right before my one year was up.
Make sure you keep this one working cuz there will be no more HD2! I may find one on Craigslist or something. This HD7 and Windows 7.5 really sucks monkey nuts!!!

Yea I played around with WP7 on the HD2 when it first became avaliable and wasn't really worth the time and trouble it took to get it on there. One month later I went back to NAND and haven't looked back.
Same here! Registering Zune was a problem at first.
Thanks for your quick response! Yeah, seems to be a problem with the end button / flex connector of digitizer
I found another helpful thread about this issue: The Infamous Unresponsive Digitizier Screen Possibly Solved!
Obviously you need to replace the digitizer to fix this problem.
I'm sticking to the solution of not touching the button at all, there are apps to turn off the screen and shutdown the phone. At least waking with any other buttons works most of the time for now, but it's not really a long-term solution.
Wish I would have saw that thread b4 i sent my phone back!!!
Hey,
So my old HD2 has been having some problems for a while now. I know the first issue is a hardware problem, but there is a couple of work arounds.
1) Screen becomes unresponsive (touch doesn't work), and pressing the power button down too hard makes it freeze.
Now, the second point is the most annoying.
2) The phone has had 2 ROMs on it now (GB & ICS) and the problem keeps happening. If the phone turns off, and reboots it will just get stuck in a constant reboot loop, literally nothing I can do. The only way to "fix" this, is to boot into MAGLDR and do a hard reset... Then it sometimes boots up, and of course everything has to be started again.
The reason I think this one (^^) is hardware is because I've tried more than one ROM.
Anyone have any idea, particularly around point 2, whats causing this?
I've had a problem with one HD2 when I was repairing it - if I did not fasten the screws on the housing HD2 was constantly freezing and rebooting. The problem was solved by fastening the housing screws. Has your HD2 been opened and not repaired good?
Your HD2 might also be damaged in some way internally so some kind of shortage occurs when you press the power button too hard (did it fall from great distance? 1meter is enough / liquid damage?)
About the touchscreen - many HD2s have that. PS: lol! Yea, many HD2s have touchscreen well, I was talking about touchscreen problems hehe
my suggestion: send it for a repair.
for a second issue, i'd install wp6.5 and start from scratch. It might solve the problem
