I forgot to charge my phone last night. Its completely dead this morning. I plugged the phoned in, and now I"m getting soft keys light up, the battery charging icon shows up for about 3 sec, process starts over, and over. Any ideas. Its been charging for the last 30min.
Dude, I think your phone is a brick !!!
Just messin' with ya. Plug it into the wall charger and leave it be for a while. Don't try to turn it on, just let it charge. The battery is completely dead. AS another helpful measure, pull the battery and put it back in there.. then let it charge for a while

Looks like WP7 will not charge if the battery is dead.
I don't have experience with WP7, I just read the thread above earlier.
If the battery was fully depleted the procedure on the link is worth a shot.
Good luck.
ive been trying that and sadly no luck. i hope this guys rom didnt mess up my phone. they dont even sell the hd2 on tmobile anymore
theres nothing wrong with the ROM,
WP7 was never ment for our device, the battery controller and WP7 do not get along well at all,
if you can boot to bootloader or magldr then plug in your cable, it will charge, no lights will come on though.
if you cant boot to it try heating up the battery a bit
there is a method that suggests plug it in, remove the battery, leave for a few seconds, put the battery back in again and leave to charge
the final method of charging involves connecting a USB cable directly to the battery, , cut an end off, connect the red to the +, the black to the -
the other two cables are not used and should be taped up
the third terminal on the battery is not used either, tape up the connections so that they cant short out. finally plug the cable back in to the PC
all methods should not be charged for more than 1 hour
How long do I heat up the battery if I'm using a hairdryer?
just make it warm to touch, i wrapped mine up in a towel and put it on a radiator for a few min, it was warm, not hot, it gave me just enough to get me in to bootloader. it should comfortably warm your hand and not be hot in any way,
but that will only work if you havent killed your battery competely, if you have no volts or amps you will need to direct charge it or use an external charger.
remember, its a chemical reaction inside those things, you ever see a laptop catch fire? well its the same kind of batteries so be warmed! .....did you see that ? .....ok im now leaving

My HD2 won't turn on, the orange light won't turn on when I plug it in the charger. This all happened while playing a game I had just downloaded it shut off and wouldn't turn back on. It was at 80% battery. The game was called "speedx". Any help would be great. Thanks. :-(

Bear with me if it is a dumb question...
I just got the tablet and started to charge, the screen showed a battery meter for 5 seconds and disappeared. How do I know it is still charging and when it finishes.
Am I supposed to wait till it is fully charged before turning it on?
While it is off just press the power button lightly and it will show the prgress for the battery charger. When it is done charging it will make this lound notification sound LOL that will probably scare you LOL, same thing when it is on, hope that helps.

I'm also on the initial charge as of ten minutes ago.
Can someone reply with how long the initial charge ETA is going to be? I'm dying to crank it up, but thinking I should go out to eat or something so I'm not tempted to jump the gun and turn it on
I bought the Tab on saturday, and had a Xoom before that and the 10.1 takes forever to charge. The Xoom could go from dead to fully charged in less than 2 hours. That's the only thing I miss about the Xoom
Can you charge the 10.1 from the computer while using it or no?
I woke up this morning to find out my phone was dead, it was charging when i left it. So i search the forums and find a bunch of threads saying its a faulty wall charger etc. Tested and nope nothing.
the only signal of life shows when i connect a usb cable to it, I love the Atrix but im kinda dissapointed this is the first phone that dies on me.
Try removing the battery and install again after 10 seconds.
try removing sd card, this happened to me once with xperia x10. my card was dead after thata and was not letting phone boot up.

You know that's a weird coincidence. I noticed that the battery on my Wife's Atrix was low last night so before bed I plugged it in for her.
I woke up and looked over at her phone and there was the Droid with an exclamation point in a triangle on her screen.
I was way more fortunate than you because all I had to do was a battery pull and it restarted.
I wonder if it has anything to do with that massive solar ejection we just had?
I skated by this time but the moral of my tale is don't plug in your Significant Others phone for them... You might have some 'splaining to do.

hey bro, get a car charger for a backup but call warranty 800-801-1101 and see if they will replace it.

I live in Dominican Republic, dont think getting a replace would be a viable option, because of the shipping costs etc.
so thats it?, it died randomly without any explanation or solution? lol that sucks
Need one of the devs from the captivate forum to look into the attix to serif there is a "sleep death" it "charge death" occurring here. The captivate and Infuse 4g I had, when this happened, you could smell a burnt electronics smell under the battery cover. I'm thinking we might be able to get a logcat in the mix? .......
Don't listen to anything my Atrix types via CM7......
how can i get a logcat from a dead phone?
Update
-Charged the battery using an external battery and the phone wont work anyways.
-Checked the voltage using a tester, the battery is fine.
It seems my atrix is ****d

My Atrix suddenly died after a trip to the cinema...
Turned it (completely normal shutdown) off before the movie began and when I came home it just didn't want to turn on. There is nothing wrong with the battery. :/
Did you tried the solutions posted by the members in here?, mine is still dead.
bump help?

If it doesn't turn on at all, it seems you are sol, unfortunately.
That's a sign of a hardware failure.

RIP Atrix
RIP Atrix , Well thx for you replies
just got NSG and wanted to put it in a charger before i go to work so it will be charged once i'm back
back ans still it shows "the battery it too low to power on"
the green led of charging shows up so it charges
the charger shows that it is charging (have amp meter)
any ideas how to boot it up?
Let it charge overnight, if that doesn't work your next bet would be to disconnect the battery, you can find a video on YouTube but it's very simple, just pry the power button upward and underneath the white sticker is a single torx t5 screw, remove it and then just slide the back panel downward, the battery is taped to the underside, roll it over and disconnect the pins from the header for a minute or so. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

The part numbers might differ depending on the manufacturer, however they are equivalent to one another, if that turns out to be the problem you can get a replacement on eBay for about $10 to $15 or so.

Leave it on the charger until the led changes from amber to green, if the led isn't working then I would just let it go overnight for 12 hours or so and then try to boot the device. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
