I have read a few threads on a few build quality issues but not mention this, if I have missed them then mod please feel free to delete.
Anyone else noticed this, its not a big deal but I noticed that when typing on the physical keyboard I could feel even hear a slight creak as I typed away. I worked out that this was being caused by the battery twisting and creeping its way slowly out of position. I have sorted this with a small ball of bluetack, no more creak.

That's what I am enjoying now but before it was really getting annoying.

Around the notification bar area, touch the screen hard. Does your screen feel like its clicking in like the blackberry storm? I have a problem and I'm wondering if it's only me

Mine doesn't do that.
Are you pressing down?

Yeah, not super hard, as I don't want to break it. But a lot harder then I would be if I was trying to use the touch screen or buttons.
If I were you I'd go to best buy and ask to play with the demo. Try it on the demo, if it doesn't happen, exchange yours.
Thanks for the advice

Did you try it with the screen off or on because mine seems to do it when on only

Mine does NOT click or feel like it's clicking when touching (moderate pressure) the notification bar area (right, left or center), with the screen on or off.
None of the three Nexus S handsets I've gone through so far have done that. Take it back. Samsung's QC needs a lot of work.
Thanks alot for the replies guys. I'll be exchanging it
I unfortunately just realized I have this problem, right near the FCC woohoo 3rd nexus s
yea it sucks tell me how your exchange goes

Sure thing. Its dissappinting that you pay $530 for a phone and I has quality problems
Is this a common issues with the Sanding Epic. It seems that screen wobbles against the keyboard when pressed on.

Yes and sprint won't fix it either
Should have done my research when I bought this phone. :/ I still like it but the wobbly screen gets annoying.

If you are under the 30-day return policy period, you should be able to get it replaced due to that reason. It is a common issue.
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this issue. While typing sometimes my phone will randomly not be responsive on certain keys. Just those keys though for example I could be typing and then when I press "y" it won't register however all they keys surrounding it do "U" "T" "H". I can flip the orientation and get it but it can get quite aggravating. Any ideas?
Nope none at all I've seen this discussed before I have the same issue at times but only every now and then and yes it is aggrivating sorry I don't have the answer I would like.to.knoe the deal as well.....I.wonder do ppl that have stock phones ever have that issue....

Has anyone else seen this...my bottom "back" button (menu-home-back-search) seems to be much less responsive than it used to be...all the others seem ok... Is there a way to calibrate their sensitivity?

I don't think there is a way to calibrate those. But some thing you might want to add to the OP is what rom you are on maybe there is a setting that I don't know about.
I'm on mostly stock now... Tried out Thunderhawk's latest and saw no difference.... (with that at least)...

might be a hardware problem then. if you went back to stock and same thing is happening.
Yeah...my that's my guess too...likely that my phone just has a little hardware issue...it still works, but I frequently have to hit the back button 2 or 3 times to get it to register...sigh.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
its a hardware issue. My search button isn't as sensitive as the others. Good thing I don't use that often.

I wish MY search button was the one getting weak...I never use that thing! Sigh...

Hey everyone I have a problem that started to happen recently and I wanted to see if this happens to any of you guys and you fixed it.
About a few days ago my home button on my phone feels like there is some type of debris under the button. When you click down it makes a loud clicking sound and feels like I'm crushing down salt or something.
Has anyone had this problem? I tried using canned air, I tried taking a piece of paper and going around the edges, still no luck.
