Is this possible to have on the samsung fascinate, I see that froyo is required for it stock from google. However, I was wondering if it is something that could be ported to 2.1 for now since we dont have froyo. Any insight?
Just download Vlingo from the marketplace, it's free and IMO better then the voice actions on 2.2 from what I experienced with my Droid 2.
You tried the built in Nuance Vsuite?

So, is there a way to get the samsung app store working on a Tmobile Vibrant? Ive seen a glimpse of it from the camera update menu but never seen an apk posted or anything like that. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I did try searching and couldn't find any relevant info..

It was working on one of the 2.2 roms based off the i9000. I think it was the gothdroid kang or aospish rom from anderdroid. I still have it somewhere I think. Ill check.

yes samsung has there own app store similar to media hub and readers hub. its in /system/app on tmo froyo vibrant roms but only to update native samsung applications. on the i9000 its an actual app store with a few goodies in it, mainly asphalt 5 hd, which is free as are all from what i have seen. eugenes macnut series, which is based off the i9000 froyo roms has the actual app store.

Tethering Monitoring
I have heard that Verizon has implemented a monitoring service to catch people using Tethering on the leaked Froyo ROM for the Samsung Fascinate, is there any word as to whether or not the Thunderbolt will have this as well?

I have heard nothing of that
But I assure you that it will be taken out if it is in there
I use easytether pro so I'm not worried, it uses adb so it looms like its just sendING to the computer

I have a fascinate and the devs, JT and Kaos, have confirmed there is a tether monitoring app built into it, I think the wifi driver. If you remove it at this time you will lose all wifi ability. Should not be a problem with thunderbolt as its close to the evo and dinc.
I find it humurous that Verizon feels its ok to charge or this feature. If it wernt for stockholders they wouldn't even try to prevent hacking from happening

Rumor is that they will make this feature free maybe they got smart and realized all you hafta do is root and download a modified version and its free
Or maybe the delay is they modified the wifi driver to monitor this and its causing issues with the phone
Hey everyone.
I'm a fairly recent Dinc convert, but I started out with a Droid X. I like the HTC keyboard, but I really love Motorola's stock multitouch keyboard. I did some research and it seems like this was ported to pretty much any 2.1 device. Now that the Incredible is on 2.2, none of these work. Does anyone have a port that works on 2.2? I'm running Skyraider 3.5 right now.

I'm running the Deodexed EF02 ROM and every coulple days I'm on a call and it drops and the dial tone sound immediately follows.
Anybody else having this issue or know why I'm having it?
Try a new modem. Remember, gingerbread builds are leaks, they arnt ready in the long run. If you want reliability, go for sfr 1.2

Why is this in development and general? Just like the above person said its probably the modem. Dk28 used to be the same way when we were on that froyo leak.

I've been on countless different gingerbread roms for the fascinate... but none of them seemed to have headset button support even if i changed the keylayout files. When i updated via vzw's ota, i quickly rooted and changed the keylayout file to see if the headset button would work, and it did... so up until now, ive only been running froyo roms because of that feature, which is really important to me...
