I have a problem with my Tab. Sometimes the GSM/UMTS connection comes down and I get an error messege something like: "SIM detach blabla" and the phone reboots by itself. When it reboots it does not recognize the SIM card so I have to remove it, and by doing it, it reboots again. I insert the SIM cad while rebooting and then it works well again. This happens 1 or 2 times a day.
This is very annoying because sometimes its disconnected sometime until I notice it.
I don't know why, this happens more times when I am playing games with my TAB.

If you haven't hacked or flashed your Tab then return it, get another one.

Ever since applying the Gingerbread update on Monday, my phone dies whenever it does a restart.
If i choose the restart option from the shutdown menu the screen just goes black, and nothing happens. I have to remove the battery, SIM and SD card for a few minutes, then put them back in to get it to start up again, and even that is hit and miss sometimes.
This first happened when the phone restarts itself during the update, and now happens every time is restarts. Its very annoying, especially as the phone has a tendency to restart itself randomly.
I tried a factory reset using the power+vol down, but even that fails as the phone can't reboot itself, and when I do manage to get it going its always still at the Gingerbread version.
Never rooted the phone, all the other updates went on without any problems. Phone is unbranded, UK.
Any ideas appreciated.

I have highlighted your problem. You can try and gran the correct update and flash it again manually, or you can try and root and go with any ROM you like... or you can return the phone for repair or replacement.
Your choice.
So, something has gone wrong during the update? It appears to function ok when it is up and running, its only on the restart of the phone it all goes wrong.
I've a call logged with HTC. Was hoping there was a simple fix.
Its an amazing device. But it reboots twice a day. I am thinking the problem could be External SD card. 80% reboots happens when I connect my device using USB mode to transfer the music and videos
Does anyone experiencing it and does anyone has solution or work around?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
Sometimes it cause by bad contact SIM card. Try clean the card's contact points or replace a new one if your SIM card is many years old.
Seems android phones will try fix the SIM lost contact problem by reboot the device.
It might be a damaged sd card too, it's weird that it happens in that right moment when you plug the usb, try with a different one and see

I have the same problem reboot every time I disconnect it from the pc
My note reboots aleatory from nothing and sometimes really freeze with the screen off and I need to remove the battery to restart :s
Any idea? I really dont want to go change it with a new one because I need to make some kilometers to change it. Was the possibility that it is just software problems and if I flash a new rom it become stable?
The Note come with one old rom (I dont know what rom) and it make some reboots but dont make so many like now. When I connect to a Wi-Fi it say that was a update (16 MB) and I make that update. Then the reboots come with more frequency and make that problem of freeze with the screen of. Today morning I make a Wipe to data and Cache (in Recovery 3e) and reset it. Now it dont freeze but make some FC with the most installed (from markt and Samsung Apps) and sometimes reset with no reason.
TY for any help.
Sorry for the bad english.
EDIT:
I see now. When it is charging(turned off), when it stay "off" (without I see how go the battery) a little time, it freeze. Could be that that's happen when is on and when go to stand-by and it freeze. Anyone know whats happen?
Double post. Delete pls.
Last night my device was rebooting on its own.
After that I didnt got the message that my storrage isnt working but the first time start wizard popped up.
I was rebooting and removing the battery and SD card a few times but nothing changed. I was looking in the settings and it looks like that my storrage is empty.
I had this kind of issues sometimes before but after a few reboots it was always working again.
What happend and how can I boot my profile again?
Thanks!

im not sure that yanking the SD card out and reinserting it is a good idea, especially with rebooting. an it sounds like you have an SD compatibility issue as well, my advice, start over with a new SD card, do your homework tho as not all cards will work!
I can't remember the exact error message but my phone will randomly restart and produce a SIM card error, prompting me to restart again. Things go back to normal after the 2nd reboot - this tends to happen every day.
I've searched all IceColdInsomnia - 7.0 AOKP forums and these Q & A forums as well to no avail :-( Anybody have experience with this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

I've seen this error before. It happens totally randomly. I've even gotten it with no reboot, all that happened was my launcher force closed. I would press OK to restart the phone and same thing - it would reboot fine. Then I just started pressing the back button to remove the error box instead of rebooting. I would be connected to the network so my SIM was fine.
I'm guessing something is triggering a faulty error message. Every time I had it there didn't appear to be an error but the dialog box appears anyway. I've since switched ROMs but if you can get a logcat when it happens (search XDA on how to do that) and pass it along to blackwing182 he might be able to figure it out.
It reminds me of when you suddenly kill the power on your PC and Windows tells you "Windows was shut down unexpectedly, now I need to spend 35 minutes checking for errors!" even though everything is fine
I've had the phone (G530f) for 4 months, and it repeatedly hangs or reboots. It's been back to the Nakhon Sawan centre four times (the last time for a week), and returns in just the same state. Works fine on Wifi, but put a SIM in (tried 3 different ones), and the trouble starts within 30 minutes. I've re-installed Android - no difference. Samsung don't seem competent to fix it. Any suggestions, please. I'm reaching the stage where I'm about to throw it out, but I can't afford another. :crying:

Are you rooted? After using Mohan's rooting method, I get occasional 'could not detect SIM card' errors that force a reboot

No, just the normal Android. If fact, I've reinstalled it with the original (Thai) version, but that made no difference.
Sorry about the delay in replying.
