It's not about keyboard sound while typing, but it's off. I'd like to turn off the "beep" sound while dialling phone number with dialler.

It should say "keypad", not keyboard, but you could have at least looked after he'd made the effort to help.
Go to Settings>Menu>All Settings>Personal>Phone and set the Keypad option to "None".

try hd2 tweak
Isn't there a reg key that can be changed?
Heared that hd2 tweak is conflicting with an other tweak app?

I think i've found the location of the sound files would need some one to confirm though ...
HKCU/ControlPanel\Sounds\DTMF
DTMF#
DTMF*
DTMF1
DTMF2
ECT.
Don't quite know how to disable though maybe just remove them?
OK i can confirm.. I just deleted DTMF* and upon pressing the * key it will not make a sound.
So just try modifying them rather than delting them.
why not just go in Start>Settings>Personal>Phone and choose keypad off?

LOL! Yeah that is alot easier
There's an easier way to disable the sounds when dialing a number.
Just go in Start menu > Settings > Menu (in the bottom of the settings tab) > More > Personal > Phone (next to Owner informations)
Here you can desactivate the keys sounds.
EDIT : I was late

Sorry, but thats just made my day!
I did something similar the other week. I looked for a complicated solution to a simple problem.
Hi,
I got this problem with the phone canvas not showing up. I'm wondering if there's some easy fix for this. Been searching all over and haven't come across any post related to this.
Oh, it's not really blank though. When I press where the contacts or recent numbers usually are, they would pop up.
Thanks.
Check if it is enabled with Advanced Configuration Tools.
Phone => Phone skin => Enabled (advised)

This usually happens when you forget to cook a dependancy of the dialer. For example, with the Oboe dialer, you need 3 other packages as well...

Playing around for a while and finally found that Phone Canvas needed PTT package.
Thanks!
Hi all, after spending a lot of time playing with registries I found some that allows us to change the keys hold timeout. This is good for example for decreasing the timeout for the back button in order to have a faster switching between apps. The path is the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\CustomHoldDelays
There are several registries here for the different buttons(even for the focus and headset), but I only tested the the back button.
I changed the following registry for the back button using vcREG app: BackHoldTimeout; and I gave it the following value which works nice for me: 00000090 DWORD.
Remember: the value must always have 8 digits!
Here's the list with the different registries we can find on this path:
- HeadSetHoldTimeout
- StartHoldTimeout
- BackHoldTimeout
- SearchHoldTimeout
- VolumeUpHoldTimeout
- VolumeDownHoldTimeout
- CameraHoldTimeout
- FocusHoldTimeout
- PowerHoldTimeout
- RingerHoldTimeout
- OEMCustomHoldTimeout
- SearchTapTimeout
WARNING!!! Setting values too low will cause undesired behavior! (Tap action will act like a hold action)
Sorry for my English
EDIT 1
Hey I also found a nice trick!
You wanna speak to Cortana just by pressing the search button?(instead of holding)
Just set the SearchHoldTimeout registry to value: 00000010
Enjoy!!
I love accessing the camera when the phone is locked by just short-pressing the camera button.
"CameraHoldTimeout" = 00000000
It's really fast!!

I use the vcREG app. It doesn't work for me neither with the CustomPFD app. Btw...what is that cap-unlock thing? Aren't they unlocked if you do interop-unlock?
