Has anyone tried running Pocket Legends on the HTC Hero??
Its says it be ran on any device running Android 2.1 and higher.
I've searching the Market Place...but can seem to find it.
Thanks!
I tried looking for it too i couldnt find it at all

just google PocketLegends.apk and open the second link at spacetimestudios.com ....scroll down...there is a link
I found the apk, now I gotta question, I try to install it and it says outta space, but I have like 98mb free...any idea? The apk is only like 25-29mb.
Regards,
Tee Jay
You need atleast 110 to 115 MB free internal storage to download. I downloaded and tried to play but it does not respond and force closes. I tried overclocking but I'm not quite sure how to.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Geez! About 120 mb to play? I have way too much stuff on my hero that I use to clear it out...
...has anyone with enough space been able to play it successfully on their hero?
I downloaded pocket legends apk from the official website.
Even though i cant play the game on my htc hero 2.1....
Installation was no problem, but when i run the game it gives me force close
--> i had around 250 mb on my sd cart left, and on my internal storage there is around 110 mb left
I use to play pocket legends on my hero back when I had 2.1. I then flashed froyo and just never installed it again.

Which ROM were you using? I tried with cSrOm-2.1.7, and it never force closed for me, but never did anything other than make a black screen either. I'm putting Darchdroid v2.8 on my hero and will be trying again. This game looks waaay too cool to pass up.
Linky to version I'm installing -

Actually, the update makes for a super loooong bootup, and Sense force closes non-stop. It's a pretty brick. I'm going to try Cyanogen and see if I can get that working.

It's failing. Same thing I've been getting on the other ROMs. I think Mr Newklearx3 lies. JK, but what did you use??

I've installed it and it works well. It's not the newest version (10.1.61 if memory serves me correctly, newest version is 10.1.72)
I'm using JupiterDroids Pays Mod.

I just tried it out and honestly do not notice much difference. The sites I would browse to still react the same as Flash Lite 4, I used the adobe version checker to confirm 10.1 was active. I guess I will wait for froyo, thanks for the attempt though
This is pretty much useless. It uses up 12MB and doesn't seem to do anything Flash 10.1ish. Everything looks like you're still using FlashLite (based on 7 I believe?).

I just tested it on a Desire running Froyo and Sense and it works fine.
It's true that the market filters apps, mainly based on the capabilities your app requests. For example, if your app requests access to GPS services, it will not appear in the market for anyone using a phone without GPS.
Check your app manifest.

Tested on EVO running a 2.2 sense rom. I didn't really mess around with it too thoroughly as I have no need for such an app, but figured I'd give it a quick try out to give you some feedback as far as sense goes and it seems to be working fine

Has any one looked at the OpenGLES 1.1 mod currently being worked on for the Hero and tested it on the Eris?

EDIT:
Followed these directions and added it to CELB4.1 along with changes to build.prop and a few others from KaosFroyo. Works so far but didn't want to mess with before and after benchmarks right now. May do that later if I have the time.

I would like to upload it here for you guys.
It works 100% with asop,cm, and GB.
It improves performance and allows apps designed for opengles 1.1 to run well
Download can be found in this thread
Instructions
Drop libgles_qcom in directory
System/lib/egl and replace it
Opengl version should now read
Msm7230 opengles 1.1.
1.1 is an upgrade to 1.0 adding new opengl functions.
Ok this will help optimize android and apps to the new 1.1-CM lib.
Open your build.prop and on a new line above your dalvik settings add
ro.opengles.version=65537
This will tell everything your true opengles native API 1.1. Everything will now defualt to 1.1

I am waiting to see if Koas loads this in to his gingerbread rom (aka KaosGingerbread)
Has anyone tired it ?
Any chance that this would make Angry Birds work on our phones?
Installed it, and don't really see any difference. I wonder if the old original angry birds would work better?
I just downloaded this and it worked, and now I cant download any apps. I followed the instructions maybe I missed a step. If someone could please help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
I was able to download a program if I unmounted the sd card but I really dont want to have to do that everytime.
ps. Angry birds is faster. (Not as fast as on our PS3 lol) but a lot faster and less laggy then it was yesterday =D
Something changed when I updated to Tazz 26... so it was either this or maybe I just needed a wipe. Either way, Zenonia 2 was slow even on the lowest settings, now I can play it fine on medium settings.
Just a quick note for Eris users that are frustrated with the current 1.42 version of Angry (Laggy) Birds: try to find (e.g. Google) the 1.35 beta version. Some of the backgrounds don't render correctly but the game itself plays just fine.

welcome to the g1 community and have fun flashing!
So what use is the radio for? Just some extra ram? Anyone got a link for a stable froyo or gingerbread build? the app might not be compatible with gingerbread, plus the original g1 received only up to 1.6 as the official update, but you can always try later on with your preferred custom rom. OC does improve, but personally, im not using it, the default is good enough for me, your needs might be diffrent.
angry bird is playable with this script, but it is not that smooth, but still playable . have not tried ninja, most of the 2d games work well so far. for good gaming experience, your nexus s would be much2 more better lol
hope it helps

the limitation here is the ram and also the gpu in g1, it uses adreno 130, which is very old, phones with slightly higher gpu, adreno 200 have much2 better performance eventhough they are only one model newer.

I might just suggest using gingerbread in particular 'ginger yoshi'. I recently also purchased a G1/Dream off ebay and decided to mod it and just tonight loaded ginger yoshi 7.1.1 onto it (android 2.3.3) and it is working flawlessly, before gingerbread i was running froyo (cyanogenmod 6.1.0 magpie) but yoshi's build is so much more snappier.

So I was wandering through the app Market and I ran across both Google Earth and Flash 10.3. Out of curiosity I clicked on them and found I could install them both. After installation, I could find them no more. And when I try to use them they force close. (Expected) Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Yea there was an update for google books as well but everytime I clicked on it all I got was "requested item could not be found". So I left it alone and when I came back to my phone later on and unlocked it, in the notification bar it said "successfully updated google books". I was like WTF! I've noticed the market acting up a bit last few days.

Even if it doesn't run at its full potential, Google Earth definitely will run on phones with sub-1GHz processors (including the Motorola Droid which has a 550MHz processor). Also Google Earth's help page says it requires 320x480 minimum resolution, which is what the Aria has. So neither of those reasons are preventing you from running it on the Aria.
The actual reason it doesn't work is because Google Earth requires ARMv7, just like Flash.
I thought it was just me. The market has been completely out of sorts for me since yesterday.

mmmk makes sense as to why it requires arm7. as for market itself i just get the occasional "connection issue hit retry to continue" error. and I'd have to hit it twice but that's how its always been with my aria even when was stock.
I can get Google Earth to appear by searching for "honeycomb" and it's the 5th or so result. Just, FYI.
